Chapter 19

They were in his Sedan, going back to Yuri’s home. Yuri was sitting next to him & her mother was holding their baby in the backseat. Since the parking lot at the hospital, silence had accompanied them until they reached the highway to the suburb of Yuri’s house.

“So Yuri, our baby hasn’t gotten his name yet. Any idea?” Yunho started the conversation after clearing his throat. He tried his best to say it lightly as if nothing happened between them.

Yuri turned her head from the view of Korea. She shrugged her shoulders as if she didn’t care, “You decide. He’s your son.”

Looking closely at her face, Yunho took in a deep breath. What was wrong with her? This question made him crazy. Yuri had turned into a cold-hearted woman again. Was it related to their baby? Did she really hate him? He wondered.

“He’s not only my son, Yul. He’s our son. I’m the father & you’re the mother.” He replied gently, as if he pictured a family to be.

Yuri gave him a glare, “Stop talking about you & I having a string attached. We’ve agreed that by the time the baby born, you & I are strangers.”

Peeking at her reddened face, Yunho knew she was ready to explode. However, he had to try to gain her trust again.

“Alright. Let’s talk about our son, he…”

“Your son.”

“Yes. Yes. My son.” Yunho swallowed the lump in his throat hardly, “I want to give him a name. I was thinking these last five days & I found a name for him. It’s not a common name actually but I like that. Chunghee. What do you think, Yul?”

Yuri kept silent. She just stared at the view in front of her blankly.

“Do you think it’s good?” Yunho asked again in a soft tone, forcing her to answer.

Yuri sighed in frustration. This Jung Yunho had never given up to her, “Ehm.” It was her short answer.

Yunho smiled a bit, “What do you think, Mrs. Kwon?” He asked Yuri’s mother, looking at her from the mirror.

“I think it’s great, Yunho. Chunghee, it sounds nice.” Yuri’s mother replied to him.

Yunho grinned, “So we’ll call him Chunghee. Chunghee Jung.”

Yuri peeked at him secretly from the corner of her eyes. Yunho looked happy & very proud when talking about his son. She felt a pain creeping into her heart again. If she didn’t know he was a liar & cheat, she might fall for his innocent face.

Finally, they reached Yuri’s house. By the time the car stopped, Yuri quickly got up from the car without waiting for Yunho & her mother who was holding their baby.

Sighing, Yunho watched her disappearing quickly into the house. He opened the back door & helped Yuri’s mother out.

Chunghee was crying out loud as if his peaceful sleep had been disturbed. Youngmi welcomed them with a bright smile on her face. She liked this cute baby instantly when she saw him at the hospital for the first time, “Hello, little boy. Why are you crying?” Mimi caressed his soft cheek.

“He got a name already, Mimi.” Yunho said to her. Mimi turned her eyes to Yunho & before saying another word, Yunho had answered proudly, “Chunghee.”

She turned her eyes to gaze at the baby again. Her pretty face was full of smile, “Chunghee. Chunghee. Uh, it’s such a great name, Oppa. Look, he’s sleeping again.”

“Thank you.” He smiled proudly.

“Will he be staying with us here?” She was excited as if she had a new toy.

Yunho’s face turned pale gradually. He looked at Yuri who was watching them piercingly from the corner of the living room.

“No, he won’t. Oppa will take him before sunrises tomorrow.” Yuri said coldly. Then she turned her head to Yunho, “Make sure his nursery room is ready tonight. Otherwise, I don’t know what will happen to him.”

Yunho closed his eyes for a few seconds. Sometimes Yuri was unreasonable. Preparing & decorating a nursery room needed time & it wasn’t magic. It couldn’t be finished in one day, “Yuri, you know very well that I need time. It can’t finished it tonight. Do you think it’s like using a wizard stick & all will be done in a flash?” Yuri gave him a glare, “I don’t want to know. You are Jung Yunho. You can have anything that money can buy. With your big money, you can have the room ready by tonight.”

Yunho sighed again. Youngmi & her mother were looking at each other in concern. They didn’t say anything as that was Yuri’s decision. They knew Yuri would continue to throw her bad temper at Yunho.

Suddenly, Chunghee was crying out loud again. Yunho looked at his son worriedly.

“Mom, would you mind giving him to Oppa?” Yuri asked in a bitter tone.

Her mother sighed secretly, looking at this couple that were starting to throw tantrums at each other. Before Yuri’s mother made her move, Yunho had reached his hand out to hold his son.

“Thank you, Mrs. Kwon. I can hold him.”
