Chapter 11

The title of a weekly magazine attracted her eyes. With a frown, Yuri took out the magazine from its shelf. She opened the main page anxiously.

‘JUNG YUNHO’S BABY SECRET’

‘Rumors say that the most eligible bachelor in this country, Jung Yunho, had found his future wife. Some witnesses said that they had a romantic dinner at the Italian Restaurant, Mother Mary’s Kitchen & Pizzeria three days ago. They were chatting happily the whole night with sparkling love between the lovebirds.

Jung, looked like a changed man when he appeared with his mystery girl friend. The twenty-eight year old was in jailed for fourteen days back in March after being found guilty of using drug, drunk & ual harassment at the paradise hotel. However, the assault seemed to have no proof.

An amazing fact wrapped media attention when Jung Yunho had been spending more than three hours in a baby shop. Around the same time, it was revealed that his mystery girlfriend was pregnant. Their close friend exposed that the wedding bell of the lovebirds seemed unavoidable.

As we know, Jung had been dating many famous girls in the past, including Park Jiyeon, the famous model who lives in New York. Therefore, media was furious about the girl whom Jung had celebrated his birthday romantically with.’

“What the hell?!” Yuri said harshly, putting the magazine back on its shelf. She hoped Yunho could manage the media & protect her from their attention. She wondered what he was going to say in the press conference today.

Tiffany turned her eyes from the magazine on her hand to Yuri. She looked at her best friend who was being grumpy to herself in the last two days, ‘Yuri is in her bad mood again.’ She said to herself. They had been walking from one mall to other mall since this morning until they stopped at a book store.

She peeked at the title of the magazine curiously, ‘Jung Yunho’s baby secret, huh?’ She sighed. She didn’t understand what was going on between the two of them. Yuri hated him so much & accepted him only for the sake of the baby’s life. Tiffany had heard several times on how Yuri had cursed him & his baby in one day outing with her but she frowned when Yuri bought a green little talker bodysuit along with a pair of white cuffed socks. She shook her head secretly, ‘Maybe her cold heart had started to love her baby & forgive its father.’ She told herself certainly.

“Damn!”

Tiffany was startled from her thought. Yuri had cursed again. What was wrong with her today? “Yuri, are you feeling alright? Why don’t we have a cup of coffee?”

“I don’t drink coffee anymore. I’m pregnant remember?”

“Oh yes, but we can still go to the cafe & order something to drink. Come on, I’m so thirsty.”

Yuri looked at her & smiled, “Okay.”

Entering the cafe, they chose a table at the back. Yuri ordered herself a bacon & egg sandwich & huge dark chocolate cookies with espresso & toasted pecans. Tiffany frowned. They just had their lunch two hours ago. Tiffany grinned.

“What?” Yuri said.

“Nothing.”

“Do you want some of there espresso chip pancakes? They looked delicious.”

“God, no.” Tiffany said quickly, “This is fine, Yuri.”

Yuri looked doubtful, “Are you sure?”

“My stomach will explode if I eat again.” Tiffany replied, lifting her cup of coffee in salute.

Yuri laughed, “I know you’re really strict on your diet. Look at me. I’m already liked a sack of potatoes.” Then she laughed again, looking at her body.

Tiffany looked at her blankly & then grinned, “Don’t tell me you’re a happy mother-to-be now.”

Yuri blushed prettily, “I don’t know, Ti. I have such an odd feeling lately. Sometimes I’m so frustrated but sometimes my mood is mild. My mother said it might be because of my unstable hormones during this pregnancy.”

Tiffany put down her empty cup.

“Yeah.” She said, with a smile as she looked at Yuri’s orders coming to their table. She looked at the dishes of food & gave a delicate shudder, “So, do you want something to talk about?”

Yuri lifted her face up from her sandwich plate, “Trouble.” She said shortly.

“What do you mean? What kind of trouble?”

Yuri sighed & sipped her tea, “I think I can’t put myself to hate him anymore.”

“Who?”

“Jung Yunho, of course, silly!” Yuri snapped at her playfully.

Tiffany poured more coffee into her cup, “Don’t tell me you’ve fallen in love with him.”

“Of course not. I just can’t hate him anymore. He’s so nice to me even though I tried to hurt his feelings several times. Why didn’t he fight me back? Why did he treat me so nicely? Oh, I’m dead.” Yuri mumbled.

Tiffany scrutinized her friend’s troubled face, “Don’t forget he’s a playboy. He has been dating many girls before you. He surely knows how to conquer your heart. Yuri, you have to be careful. Don’t let him hurt you again. Remember, you have Yoongi Oppa waiting for you at Sydney.”

“You’re right.” Yuri said softly.

There was a moment of silence.

“You know what, Ti. Three days ago, we almost kissed. He took me to a romantic dinner at this Italian restaurant. We chatted lightly. I don’t know what’s wrong with me that night. I felt warm being near him, looking at his smile & hearing his little jokes. Maybe my baby attached me to its father. I don’t know. I scold myself a whole night after he took me home. I’m scared, Ti.”

“Yuri, just one sentence for you, don’t fall into his trap.”

Yunho, wearing a calvin klein blue plaid slim fit suit, entered the conference room at the 30th floor of the Jung Corporation building. As he promised, he would give his statement regarding the rumors of his mystery girlfriend & his baby secret.

“Good morning, Mr. Jung.” One reporter greeted him.

The other reporters immediately stopped their chit chat & sat down on their seats, taking their notes & tapes. Yunho took the seat at the center & smiled brightly, “Good morning everyone. As I promise, I’ll answer all of your questions. Please proceed.” He said calmly.

“Mr. Jung, you seem to make a lot of changes to yourself including your lifestyle. Could you explain why?” Yunho cleared his throat, “It’s a little bit private for me to answer that.” He let out a little bit of sigh, “My lifestyle had changed quite a bit since I moved on with my new life after the incident on March, all of a sudden.”
