The Jung couple arrives first at the fancy restaurant. One of the waiters recognizes them and quickly led them to the VVIP room that Mr. Jung’s PA had booked earlier. The door slides open and revealed 7 seats and 1 big table for them. The Jung sits side by side while waiting for the Park to come.

“We are waiting for the Park Family.” Mr. Jung said and received a nod from the waiter.

Downstairs, on 7.30 sharp, The Park couples and Shin Hye get out from the car. The earlier waiter opens the door for them and led them to the VVIP room earlier. While climbing the stairs, Mr. Park asks the waiter whether The Jung already arrived. The waiter reply, “Yes. 3 minutes ago.”

The door slides open and The Jung couples stands up to welcome their guest. “I’m sorry we are late.” Mr. Park said after bowing and shakes hand with the leading man.

“No worries. We just got here too.” Mr. Jung replied. Mrs. Park and Mrs. Jung bow to each other and hugs while kiss on each other cheek. Mrs. Jung eyes then landed on the gorgeous young lady behind her mom. She eyes her from head to toe. Park Shin Hye bows to Mrs. Jung and Mr. Jung. “Anneyong haseyo. My name is Park Shin Hye. Nice to meet you.”

Both Jung are mesmerized by the beauty of the young fashion designer. Her long hair is smooth like silk, her skin glowing like the moon glow every night and her smile of course, can melted every guy heart that look at her.

“Nice to meet you too. You have such a beautiful daughter Mrs. Park.” Mrs. Jung compliments her and smiles. Mrs. Park said thanks and Mr. Jung butts in, “Until when we want to stand up, let’s sit down shall we.”

After they already sit down, Mr. Jung looks at the empty seat. “Where are these two?”

“Oh. My maknae’s car broke down so her oppa will send her.”

Mr. Jung nodded in total understanding while Mrs. Jung is having a different idea in her mind. “Never late on your first meeting.” Not only Mrs. Jung, Mrs. Park also has the same idea actually.

“Hmm.. Where is YunHo?” Mrs. Park asks when she didn’t saw their only son. Shin Hye who sits beside Mrs. Jung gives a full attention to her answer.

“Owh.. we are very sorry. He already went to Singapore this morning. Got some business there.” She then turns to Shin Hye while holding her hand. “We will have another dinner when he comes back.”

Shin Hye disappointed at first place, but soon turns to happy when she heard the news.

After they ordered their food, Hye Ran and YooChun finally arrived. YooChun mentions the Jung name and immediately the waiter shows them the VVIP room. Hye Ran knocked on the door and when she heard the person inside said yes, she slides the door.

Mr. Jung and Mr. Park smile upon seeing her face. YooChun closed the door and both of them bow. “I’m sorry we are late.” YooChun said.

“Never mind never mind. We just ordered our food.” Mr. Jung said and YooChun takes a seat beside his mother since Shin Hye sits beside Mrs. Jung. The head of the family is facing with each other while their wife faces each other too. That goes the same with YooChun and Shin Hye. Only Hye Ran sits at the end and not facing anyone.

While waiting for the food to arrived, Mrs. Jung starts a conversation with Shin Hye in order to get to know her more.

“What are you doing now dear?”

“I’m a fashion designer.” Shin Hye answered. Mrs. Jung looks amused. “I already owned a boutique called LAVA.” She continues. “Wow.. Such a great achievement. You already have a boutique at such young age. So how’s the business going?”

“So far so good. Since we are at the place where the tourist and artist always go, so the business is kinda good.” She smiled at Hye Ran. Because it was she who suggests the place to her when she told Hye Ran that she wants to open a boutique. Hye Ran smiles to her too.

Mrs. Jung saw Shin Hye was smiling towards her sister just now so she shifts her attention to the young doctor too.

“Ah the maknae.. What is your name?” Mrs. Jung asks and Mr. Jung looks at his wife with his right eyebrow creased. Somehow he didn’t like the way Mrs. Jung asked her.

Hye Ran quickly stands up and bows. “Anneyonghaseyo.. I’m sorry I didn’t greet you earlier. My name is Park Hye Ran. I’m a doctor at Seoul General Hospital.”

Mrs. Jung somehow impressed with Hye Ran but she quickly brushed it aside since Hye Ran was late just now. “Seoul General Hospital?” She then looks at her husband. “Yobo.. doesn’t that is the hospital you admitted last time?”

Mr. Jung smiled and nodded his head. Still smiling, he looks at Hye Ran who is still standing. “Nice to meet you again Dr. Park.” She smiles “Nice to meet you too Mr. Jung.”  Then she takes a seat.

“You met her before?”

Now is Mr. Park turns to feel offended by Mrs. Jung for calling his daughter like that.

“Yes. Dr. Park is my doctor yobo. Of course I met her.” Mrs. Jung nodded her head.

“Oh Mr. Jung, just Hye Ran is fine.” Hye Ran quickly butts in when she saw Mrs. Jung make a face when she heard Mr. Jung called her Dr. Park just now.

“I will stop call you that when you stop calling me Mr. Jung.”

The other elders who heard are smiling because Mr. Jung totally a down to earth kind of person.

Mrs. Park notices that they attention seems went to Hye Ran instead of Shin Hye. She then looks at Mrs. Jung. “Mrs. Jung, if you want to know, Shin Hye will be going to Paris this December to attend the winter fashion show there.”

Mrs. Jung quickly looked at the young girl beside her. “Really? Waah.. you must be so excited.”

“For your information, the designer personally invited her because he is so amazed with uri Shin Hye designs when he visited here last time.”

“Oh my, you must leave a great impression on him Shin Hye ah.. Have you been to Paris before?”

“No. have you auntie?” Shin Hye asked.

“Of course… the building is a masterpiece. Paris is quite well known with their…………”

While Shin Hye and Mrs. Jung are talking, she couldn’t help but to once again amazed with her sister. No one has ever made her feel proud except her family. How she starts from being the post grad from top university in Seoul until she’s been invited to Paris. Shin Hye also is her mom favorite child as she is the only one who will always at her mother side. Unlike her, she spends almost half of her day in hospital and sometimes she doesn’t even have the chance to sleep at home when she got double shift. If she has a few days off, she will always end up helping YooChun finished up his drawing. That’s why she is close with the guys in her family than her mother and sister.

The waiter slides the door and served their food. Everyone except YooChun and Hye Ran get their food. The waiter quickly apologized because he didn’t come earlier to take the order but Hye Ran quickly said never mind. She asks for the menu and the waiter quickly gives her.

She opens the menu and look at the food pictures. “What should we eat oppa?”

YooChun who sits beside her closed his own menu and look at Hye Ran’s instead. “I don’t think I want to eat since I will be meeting my friend after this.”

“Really? Hmm.. then what should I eat? Any suggestion?” Hye Ran flipped one more pages of the menu.

“How about this?” 

 YooChun points to one of the food in the menu and Hye Ran nodded her head. “It looks like really delicious.” She then turns to the waiter beside her, “I will take this,” She points to the picture. “And 2 green tea for us. One is warm and the other one is cold.”

YooChun smiles when he knows the cold drink is for him. After the waiter left, he takes a look at his watch. “What time he wants to meet with me?” He mumbled. He then takes out his phone and message ChangMin.

After few minutes, he feels his phone vibrates. He touches the display of his phone and takes a look at his watch again. “Hmm.. I still got 30 minutes.” YooChun look at the elders plus Shin Hye is enjoying themselves while his other sister is silently sits beside him while watching them talking among each other.

“Aren’t you bored?” YooChun whispers to her. Hye Ran shook her head while smiling to him. “I don’t believe you. If I were you, I excused myself and have a good rest at home. You are boring.” YooChun complaints and received a hissed from her.

“I’m always boring. I don’t have any friends to hang out with and if I’m at home, I will be facing the drawing. I don’t have anything to do.”

YooChun grew soft when he heard the statement. “You are not like this before. Before the accident, you always have something to do. You will always have something to say.” Of course, he didn’t say it in front of her. YooChun and the others Park family members promised to each other that they will not say anything about Hye Ran accident that happened when she was 12 years old.

After the misfortune happened to Hye Ran parent, The Park family is more than happy to accept Hye Ran becoming one of their family members. The police said they are unable to catch the culprit and that make Hye Ran really sad. She didn’t want to sell the house and Mr. Park paid someone to clean up the mess and asks her to come twice a month to clean up the house. Hye Ran only takes all of her clothes and some of her belongings to Park Resident. Her date with YunHo is completely forgotten. Moreover, YunHo already moved to Seoul. She didn’t know about his moved and if she knows, she can’t do anything as she don’t know how to contact him. She tried to search for ChangMin but at that time, ChangMin already sold his house in GwangJu and moved to his other house in Seoul.

Few weeks after she moved, when she is walking alone to check on her house, she suddenly saw the same man that killed her parent. She quickly gathers her braveness and approached them. The two culprits run from her and she follows them until she arrived at the main road. Hye Ran is really close to catch them when she didn’t saw a speeding car is coming towards her. Of course, at that time if there is somebody who warns her about the car, she will not hear since her only focus is the culprit.

The speeding car driver hits the brake, but unfortunately, he still hits the young girl. Hye Ran was hit and she even rolled on the car and fall behind the car. Ambulance came and she was taken to the hospital. When the hospital calls her house, only YooChun is at home because he just got back from abroad to spend his holidays at home. Upon hearing the news, YooChun drives to the hospital and that’s when he knew Hye Ran is having memory loss.

Since that day, Mr. Park and his family are making a believable story about Hye Ran to avoid that poor child remember about how her parent being killed to death. Because the doctor had warned them that if they tell her about her parent, she will surely feel unwanted and that will somehow change her life after she knew since that is unpleasant memories for her to remember.

Hye Ran waved in front of her brother for countless times already. The ice in his glass already melted down completely. Luckily she is the only one who notices because everyone is still talking to each other. She can’t hold herself and finally, she smacked YooChun shoulder as hard as she can.

“ARGH!!!!”

Everyone in the room focused on YooChun who is suddenly yelled. Hye Ran couldn’t hold herself, so she covers using her hand. YooChun awkwardly smiled towards each one of them and turns to Hye Ran.

“It really hurts!”

He whispers in total annoyance.

“I know. That’s why I do it because you seem so into your own world until you didn’t realize I already half finished.” She points to the food in front of her and then switched it to his glass of green tea.

“Your drinks sir…” She said it in English and YooChun moves his mouth to imitate her. He drinks in to half of the glass and look at his watch.

Meanwhile Hye Ran is finally noticing something. She looks at every faces in the room and mumbles, “He is not here.”

“I got to go now. So you want to follow me or you want to stay here?” YooChun talks to her while she is still in her own thoughts. He waves in front of her and when she doesn’t budge, he wickedly smiled.

He search for her foot under the table and when he got the chance, he step on her red sneaker not with his forces, but the enough energy to make her yell just like him just now. For the second time, the other four is looking at them both.

“What is it this time?” Mrs. Park asks. YooChun laughed while Hye Ran doesn’t know what to do when all of them are looking at her.

“err…” She looks at YooChun for some help. YooChun smiles then look at his mom.

“Umma, we got to go first because I actually have a meeting with my friend. Hye Ran is coming with me too.” He then stands up. “You came late and now you want to go home earlier than us?” Mrs. Jung suddenly butts in making YooChun feels offend because she is not talking to him; instead she is aiming on Hye Ran while he is the one who talks right now.

“At least we come.” YooChun sternly said and make his parent to look at him. “YooChun ah…”

Mr. Park hissed while Hye Ran is pulling his shirt and keeps telling him that she don’t have to go. Mr. Jung notices the tension between them and quickly said, “Never mind Yeon Woo ah. He’s right. They did come although they have plans for tonight. I can’t stop them otherwise he will design my room badly.” Mr. Jung slowly laughed and smiles towards two of them.

YooChun bows to him. “Thanks sir. I will surely design your room perfectly. If you excuse me, I got to meet my friend.” YooChun said while looking at Mrs. Jung and with that, he drags Hye Ran who is struggling with his hands when she is about to bows everyone of them.

“That girl!” Mrs. Jung said in her thoughts while grabbing hard the napkin on her lap. Her husband saw it and holds her hand.

“Just let it go….”

“Oppa! How can you do that? It’s rude to the elders!” Hye Ran said when they already inside YooChun car. He starts the engine and keeps silencing himself. Hye Ran notices YooChun is keeping something from her. He drives out from the restaurant and Hye Ran also silencing herself. When they stop at the traffic light, YooChun asks, “Why you suddenly stop?” while his eyes fixed on the road.

“You are keeping something from me.” Hye Ran short answer make him want to turns his head to her but the lights already turned to green so he have no choice but to drives.

They arrived at the stall where YooChun supposed to meet with ChangMin. He gets out from his car and takes a look at the stall to see whether he already arrived. When he didn’t saw the man, he gets inside his car back.

“Okay, look. I can’t stand this silence. Tell me, why are you not talking to me?” YooChun faced his sister who is looking outside. “Hye Ran ah…”

“I told you. It’s because you keep something from me.” She still didn’t turn to face him.

“What do you mean by that?” He knows she hits the target but he of course didn’t want her to know.

Hye Ran opens the door and get out from the car. She leaned against his car while staring at the stall. “I always noticed whenever you silence down after we make something rude like that just now, you will always have a solid reason to do so and make me feel guilty after scold you badly.”

YooChun silently sighed in relief. Hye Ran still don’t have a single clue what is he thinking just now. He goes to her and pulled her a little bit. He then hugs her.

“I don’t like the way she is treating you. You see, just now, is me who are talking, but why she suddenly have to fire you. I hate seeing my sister being bullied. Luckily she didn’t do it on Shin Hye. If she do it like that too, I will surely grab both of you and come here to have our own dinner.”

Hye Ran nodded her head. She feels so blessed when she have YooChun as her brother. “Thanks oppa.” YooChun smiles warmly and let go of her.

“Saranghae oppa.” Hye Ran tries to lighten up the atmosphere and make the heart sign on her head using her hand. However, YooChun couldn’t stop from staring Hye Ran face.

“That is the first time she said ‘I love you’ to me.”

ChangMin who is waiting for YooChun at the stall by the roadside saw he is talking to a girl. He squint his eyes to look at the face of the girl and he of course recognizes her.

“Park Hye Ran” He mumbles while trying to interpret what he saw just now.

“I’m 100% sure they are hugging just now.” He said to himself.

“Oppa.. what’s wrong?” She shakes his hand.

“Owh.. nothing. Come.. let’s go..” YooChun hold her hand and drags her to the stall. ChangMin who saw them quickly stands up.

“Why so late?”He said and received a knocked on his head.

“Yah! Is that how you greet your hyung?” YooChun make Hye Ran sits beside him. “Oppa.. don’t be too hard on your friend.”

ChangMin was about to replied YooChun statement but stops when he heard Hye Ran called him, “your friend.”

“Aneyonghaseyo” ChangMin bows to her and Hye Ran quickly stands up and bows to him too. “My name is Park Hye Ran. Nice too meet you.”

She hands out her right hand and ChangMin shakes hand with her. “I know who you are.”

“You do?” Hye Ran looks surprised.

Hye Ran and YooChun ask him together. ChangMin make a gesture to sit and Hye Ran and ChangMin sit down together.

“Of course. She is my junior in high school.” By the time ChangMin mentioned high school, Hye Ran become so interested while YooChun is having a bad feeling.

“Oh really?? But why I seem I never saw you in school.” She said and ChangMin face turns to puzzled. “What does she mean she never saw me in school? I met her every day!”

YooChun wants to distract them but ChangMin seems don’t want to let go of this matter. “Don’t you remember me? We always greet each other when we see each other in hallways.” He tried as hard as he can to find the actually reason why Hye Ran don’t remember him.

“Really? Hmm.. lemme try to remember first..” She cutely puts her right hand palm under her chin.

“It is you. I still remember during old days. You will always do that whenever I saw you in class answering your exam.” He said it in his thoughts while looking at her.

“What is this? Is ChangMin likes Hye Ran before?” YooChun who has been the viewers just now said in his thoughts.

“Okay okay. Enough. If you keep try to remember then we will not have any other conversation.” YooChun pushed away Hye Ran hand and points to ChangMin. “You. Wait for your school reunion to do this. This night, we will only talk about us.” ChangMin nodded his head and deep inside his heart, he knew, YooChun know what actually happened to her.

YunHo switch on his phone. After waiting for 3 minutes, his phone didn’t rings; means he didn’t get any calls or messages. He sighed and looks out at the beautiful night view of Singapore.

“It can’t be like this..” He ruffled his hair. “I still haven’t start a move yet and you already have someone else? was our memories is not enough for you to wait for me?”

Early that day, YunHo have give himself a long deep thought on how he can forgot Hye Ran memories with him. After almost 5 hours of thinking, he finally concludes that he totally forgot Hye Ran is because his condition at the new environment.

When he first comes to Seoul, his parent already busy working. During their days in GwangJu, his mom didn’t go to work but it’s different when it’s in Seoul. Both of them need to be working because the living expenses in Seoul are higher than in GwangJu.

So, he needs to take care of himself and since he is in college, he needs to gives a full concentration on his studies. All his things that related to Hye Ran, he already gave to ChangMin as he doesn’t want his parent to find out because they will surely throw a fit. And with the busy YunHo, the memories are not his priority anymore. He already moved on.

YooChun and Hye Ran came home during midnight and judging by time, their parent of course already asleep. YooChun unlock the door key and step inside. Hye Ran is right behind him. They both want to climb the stair when suddenly the living room lights suddenly switched on.

“Umma..” They both mumbled.

Mrs. Park is sitting alone on the sofa. “Come here.”

“Umma.. Why are you sitting in the dark?” Hye Ran asked and takes a sit beside YooChun in front of their mom.

She ignores Hye Ran question and look at her. “Why are you both behaving like that in front of our important guest?”

“What have we done?” YooChun sternly asks. He now knows the real reason why the dinner was held. “The main star is Shin Hye right? Then why asked us to join you guys?”

Mrs. Park is shocked when her son answered her like that. “YooChun ah.. do you realize who are you talking to? I’m your umma… the one who raised you since you were small until now. How dare you talk to me like that?”  Tears already start forming around Mrs. Park eyes.

Hye Ran is panicked. She doesn’t know what to do. She then takes a sit beside Mrs. Park while caressed her umma back. At first, Mrs. Park wants to push away her hand but somehow those gestures make her heart feel warm.

 “I know you are my umma and I’m not trying to be rude here. But please umma… if you asked us to join you, please treat us like them too. You guys just left me and Hye Ran in the corner. Like we really desperate to attend the dinner. One more thing, I don’t like how Mrs. Jung treated Hye Ran. She is your daughter too umma. You should make her treat my both sister equally.” YooChun then stands up. “I got nothing to say anymore. I’m sorry we are late, but that doesn’t how you punished a late person.” He bows and climbs the stairs.

“Hye Ran ah……” Mrs. Park cries at her shoulder and she continues to hug her mom. “Umma.. this is the first time I hug you.” She also wants to cries but hold on to it.

After Mrs. Park already calmed, she led her to her bedroom and she enters her bedroom. After she took a refreshing shower, she flopped on her bed and take out her phone in her handbag. Hye Ran touches the phone display and still, nothing new.

“are you avoiding me?” She mumbled and tossed her phone aside. After lying on her bed for a few minutes, she stands up and walks to her study desk. Her intents is to take a look at her schedule for tomorrow, instead, her eyes fall on the manga at the right side of the table. The manga seems so old due to its condition, pretty worn out.

 “Nah.. Last time you said you never once read manga so I’m lending you this. My favorite manga since I’m in high school.” YunHo gave her the envelope where inside it got the manga which YunHo mentioned earlier.

“I will surely read it when I have time.” She smiles and continues eat with their dinner.

She takes the manga and lied on her bed. Like before, she will raised the manga and read it. Until she flipped one page, suddenly there’s a small worm out white paper fall on her cheek.

“What is this?” She changes her position and takes a look at the paper. It got some words on it but because of the manga is really old, so the manga condition somehow had effect the words on it.

“I like you Hye Ran… hopes we can go to the same university. JYH”

 “Hye Ran? Me? Definitely no. we only know each other recently. It must be other Hye Ran.”

She mumbled but still staring at the worn out paper.

“JYH? Who is it?”
