The first thing that she sees as soon as she has gotten out of the portal is the green grass. Looking around, she could see the ocean and blue sky hanging above it. She walks towards the sea and the she reaches the edge of a cliff. She looks down and watches the waves splashes against the wall of the cliff. The wind is blowing in her hair and she could smell the salty air. She turns to her left and she sees a house. A really big house at that.

"Welcome, My Lady. To my family's mansion," L says with his arms spread wide. She stares at the building with amazement. She blinks and looks at her surroundings once more before turning her attention back to him. He frowns.

"Something bothering you?" he asks. She raises her hand and makes a gesture at their surroundings.

"Not to be rude or anything. But how come there are no other houses around here? Not to mention that I don't see anyone else but us," she states. She inspects the scenery and all that she could see is the mansion, the sea and trees lined up behind them. She hears him chuckles lightly which makes her stop her 360° rotation.

"Forgive me. I must have forgotten to tell you. My family has an island of our own. We tend to be quite sensitive in terms of privacy," he explains. She raises an eyebrow at him.

"So your family decided to buy a personal private island to isolate yourselves from everyone else?" she couldn't help but feel really awkward after saying it out loud. It seemed to have sounded better in her head. He smiles and nods his head in respond.

"Well we wouldn't call it as an isolation, though. It's more like keeping our distance from others. But we are capable of adapting and socialize with the society nevertheless," he says. There is nothing else that she wanted to say so she just nodded her head in return.

"Shall we go inside?" he gestures his hand towards the mansion with a slight bow like a gentleman. She smiles and walks beside him. By the time they reach the front door, it is suddenly open from the inside and they are greeted my a middle-aged man in a suit. He smiles and bows politely in their presence.

"Welcome home, Young Master," he says. L smiles and nods his head. "Thank you. And how are things, Hanjoon? Everything all right?" he asks him politely. "Splendid, Young Master. Just as you left it," he replies with a smile. L nods his head as he leads her inside and introduces her to him.

"Your Highness, this is my housekeeper Hanjoon. If you need anything feel free to ask for his assistance," he says to her. She shifts her attention to the man standing in front of her.

"It is a pleasure meeting you, Your Grace," he bows to her.

"The pleasure is all mine, Hanjoon," she responds politely.

"I have already been told that you will be staying here with us for awhile. I have prepared a room for you. Shall I lead the way, My Lady?" he asks. She looks at L and he responds with a smile. She looks back at Hanjoon and follows after him, leaving L behind.

"We don't always get visitors but I do hope you will be comfortable here," he says as he leads her upstairs. She looks at the interior of house and must admit she is impress. Everything seems so neat and elegant. Crystal chandelier hanging from the high ceiling, beautiful portraits on the wall, Persian carpets cover the wooden floor and the staircase, large windows with an exquisite view of the ocean, a magnificent fireplace.

She's practically eyeing everything in the house and doesn't even realize that Hanjoon has stopped walking. She manages to avoid from bumping into him and stands straight. He smiles down to her and opens a door revealing a very spatial room.

The bed is facing a balcony, the windows are open to let in the breeze. A couch and a large wooden table are situated between the bed and the balcony. On the right side of the room is a row of bookshelves already stocked with books and that is the first thing that she is interested in since she got there. She examines the books and couldn't help but smile when she touches them.

"Young Master had mentioned that you love to read. I took the liberty to stock some classics for your enjoyment and also a few books that you might find to be of a help with some new spells," he says standing behind her. She grabs a book from the shelf and flips it open then she closes it and places it back. She takes a step back and stares at them.

"This is all for me?" she asks almost inaudible.

"The Young Master wants you to feel comfortable while you are staying here. He hates to have you feel like you are forced to come here so he makes sure that everything is perfect for you," he replies shortly after.

She walks around the room. Her hands run on anything that she could touch. She notices a door next to the bed and goes over to open it. She finds a closet that is also stocked with clothes and it is connected to the bathroom which is very much convenient.

She curiously inspects the clothes. Some seem casual and there are some that look comfortable. Some she finds are appropriate for rough or outdoors activity. Well, at least now she knows that she would have to break a sweat. These clothes don't look like they are easily ruined. She is starting to look forward for her training. Nothing beats a good challenge. She hears Hanjoon clearing his throat and turns to see him standing by the closet door.

"Do you find your room to your liking, My Lady?" he asks with his hand clasps to his sides.

"Very much, Hanjoon. Thank you," she smiles.

"Well then I will take my leave now. You should rest, My Lady. Do not hesitate to ask for my assistance," he says and heads to the door.

"All right. Thank you, Hanjoon," she says.

"You are most welcome, Your Grace," he replies as he closes the door behind him.

She heaves a sigh and sits on her bed staring out the window. She suddenly yawns and starts to feel a bit restless. It is still too early to sleep but she is just so sleepy. She didn't really get much sleep the other night because of the nightmares. With a whisk of her hand, the curtains are closed and the room turns slightly darker. She lays down on her bed and dozes off.

In her sleep, she hears someone knocking on her door while calling out her name. Then she hears the door is open and someone comes into the room. Suddenly she feels the warmth of a hand caressing her cheek. The hand then disappears and is replaced by a kiss on her head and the person leaves the room closing the door quietly behind him. She is too tired that she couldn't even tell if she is dreaming or not.

L is giving her a tour of his house. She woke up a little while back to see that the sun had already set. She heard a knock on her door and in came L inviting her to have dinner with him. Afterwards, he offered to show her around.

"This is personally my favorite spot of this entire place," he says. The courtyard is really wide and it feels peaceful. He sits on the grass and pats on a spot next to him. "Would you like to join me?" he says smiling up at her. She smiles back and sits next to him.

"I've been coming out here ever since I was a child. I feel calm and it soothes me. The feeling of having no worries once or ever," he says while staring out to the sea. She hears the sound of the waves and the wind blowing from time to time. She takes a deep breath and closes her eyes.

"It does feels nice for a change," she says. She couldn't remember the last time she had a time for herself. She was always surrounded by people. Being ask to do this and that. Sometimes being restrained from doing something. Particularly by her father. She could never really understand his motives. She knows that he has the best intention but most of them just confuses her and at times it even hurts her. She wonders if other girls her age are having dad trouble like she is. All of a sudden, she shifts her attention back to him after realizing something.

"How come I've never met your family yet? Are they away or something?" she asks bluntly. He doesn't respond immediately. He is still looking out to the sea. He leans in forward and hugs his knees and a slight smile appears on his lips. He's chuckling to himself and she has the feeling that it isn't out of amusement. There was a hint of sadness in his laugh.

"Both of my parents were killed when I was 13 and I don't have any brothers or sisters. Just me," he says looking down at his hands.

"Oh. I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to pry," she can't help but to feel bad for asking a stupid question without thinking.

"It's okay. It happened a long time ago," he reassures her. She looks at him from the side.

"Ever since then, Hanjoon has been taking care of me. He's like a father figure to me. I don't know what I'd do without him,," he continues.

"How did they die?" she asks. She knows that it isn't her place but her curiousity got the best of her.

"They were attacked. By animals," he responded. "We had men tracked the animals down and killed them."

She watches him fiddling with his fingers and she feels terrible for bringing it up. She moves closer and grabs his hand in hers. He looks up at her and she gives him an assuring smile. She leans in and kisses him on the cheek.

"I guess that's another thing that we share in common other than being born with magic," she kids. He smiles in return and she leans her head on his shoulder as they both listen to the sound of the soothing waves.
