KRIS' POV

My eyes suddenly caught the sight of a girl that was standing behind him. I felt as if I have seen her before. I stared directly at her as I tried to recall who she is. Then, it snap inside my mind. My eyes widen when I realized who she is. "Hyung, I'd like you to meet Raina. Raina, this is Kris. He's EXO's second in command," Kai introduced me. I was staring at her without blinking. It's her. It's really her. She's really here, I thought to myself.

I couldn't believe my eyes. She's here. She's standing right in front of me. I haven't seen her in so long and here she is right before my very eyes. She's smiling at me and I can feel my heart beating. "It's nice to meet you," she said to me. She's even more beautiful up close. I blinked a few times, trying to compose myself. I was trying to make sure that I wasn't dreaming, and I wasn't. I shook my head and return the smile.

"The pleasure is all mine, Raina," I bowed as I took her hand and planted a kiss at the back of it. I saw her blushed a little and that somehow pleases me. All of a sudden, Kai pulled her back and hid her behind him as he sends a glare at me. It took me aback at first then I couldn't help but smirk at his reaction. The look on his face was very clear. He was jealous and I find it amusing for some reason and I couldn't help but smile at myself.

I was just so glad that I get to see her in person. I remembered the first time I saw her. It was about a year ago when I was on my regular patrol over the kingdom.

*FLASHBACK*

It was at night and I was flying about over the forest. The moon was a cresent so it was a bit hard for me to see anything but thanks to my wolf visions, I was able to overcome the situation. Ever since we were chosen to be the EXO, watching over the land was our main priority. Each of us had our own part to be done. As for me, I was in charge of the sky along with Chanyeol since we're the only ones that are capable of flying. He takes the mountains path while I take the forest path. It save us some time.

I was flying over the forest and I could feel the wind blowing against me. I took a deep breath of the cold air. I flew a little higher as I try to hear the world around me. My ears caught the sound of an owl hooting on a branch of a tree as it tried to scan the area with its large eyes for its next meal. Then, at that second, I heard a mouse squeaking its way out of its hole. It was being cautious not to get caught as it crawled out. Unfortunately, the owl had spotted it and spread its wings open, ready to pounce. The mouse let out a pitching squeak as it was trapped by the talons of the owl.

Then, there was silence again. The night was once again filled with the sound of animals sleeping. I landed myself on an open field and decided to rest myself for awhile. All that flying takes a lot of energy. Plus, nothing ever happen around here so it was fine for me take a little breather. Even if something did happen, my pack is always just a howl away.

I laid myself on the soft grass and rested my head on my hands. I look up and saw billions of stars shining on the night sky. This is my most favourite part of every night. Being able to look up in the sky and realizing that there are bigger things out there than just us. It helps me realize that no matter how great and powerful somethings are, there are always something that is even more big and powerful.

I was in a daze when I suddenly heard a cry in the woods. I abruptly stood up and looked around. I narrowed my eyes as I tried to scan the area. Then, I heard it again. I quickly flew up and tried to find where it was coming from. I didn't know what it was but one thing is for sure, whatever it was, it's in a great pain. I could feel it.

I looked around trying to find the source of the cry when I heard it again. I dived down and landed on a pile of large rocks. I hunched myself behind the rocks and slowly took a peek over them. I cautiously looked around and saw a wild horse laying on the ground. Its hind leg was badly injured and there were scratched marks oozing blood all over its side. It looks like it was bitten by some predator. It was breathing heavily and I could sense its pain.

When it comes to this kind of situation, there is nothing that I could do but to end the poor creature's suffering. It kills me to thing about taking anyone's or anything's life away but it is the right thing to do. I was about to move from my spot when I suddenly heard a rustling sound from behind the trees. I pulled myself back down as I try to see what it was. Then, I saw a hooded figure approaching the horse.

Instinctly, I clutched my fist ready to attack but something tells me that it wasn't going to harm the horse. Whoever it was, it let out a gasp as it hurried itself over to the horse and knelt down next to it. I watch closely as it push the hood back. I widen my eyes when I finally saw her face. It was a girl. She looked down on the wounded horse with worried eyes. She placed her hand on the horse and tried to calm it down. "Shhh shhh. It's okay, it's okay. I won't hurt you," she said.

The horse was calmed at her touch. "I'm going to help you, okay ? But I need you to stay still for awhile. Can you do that ?" she said to the horse like it understood her and how is she suppose to help it. But to my surprise, the horse did as it was told. It had stop fidgeting. "Okay. That's a good boy," she nodded her head and flashed a smile at it. I was stunned all of a sudden when I saw her smile.

She rubbed her hands together and hover them over the horse's wounded area. "Naturae viribus, hunc sanet patitur dolorem et auferte," she chants. Her hands suddenly let out a blinding light that shone the dark forest. I raised my hand over my face as I try to adjust my cornea to the light. Then, the light began to fade away. I blinked a few times and tried to figure out what had just happen. Did she just do a spell ? I thought to myself.

The horse slowly tried to stand up and once it did there was no sign of injury on its side. Not even a scratch. The horse ran in circles around her and I heard her letting out a laugh. It had stop running and walked up to her excitedly. It poked its head against her and she chuckled at its action. "You are most welcome," she rubbed her hand on its nose.

She suddenly started looking up and I followed her suit. The dark night was getting brighter. The sun was coming up. "Oh, no," I heard her mumbled. "I need a favor. Can you give me a ride back home ?" she asked the horse. The horse nodded its head and let out a 'neigh' sound. She smiled upon its reaction. She walked over to its side and climbed up.

In a swift, the horse took off. I quickly got up on my feet and flew over the trees as I followed them. I scan the forest as I tried to find where they went. Then, I heard the sound of strides. I followed the sound and finally got the glimpse of them. I kept my distance, not wanting to let her see me as I tried to keep up with them.

The horse suddenly sped up and I had completely lost sight of them. I looked around frantically but there was no sign of them anywhere. I flew all over the place but I just couldn't find her. The sun was already rising but even that didn't help me. Then, I heard my pack howling for me to return. I scratched the back of my head as I debate with myself on whether I should continue looking for her. But then again, once we wolf heard the howling of our pack, it's compulsory for us to respond.

I heaved a heavy sigh and decided to just get back to my pack. I felt a burden in my chest as I made my way back. My mind was filled with questions that I myself couldn't answer. I didn't even get her name let alone try to find her. I had finally reached the Shadow Mountain. My pack was waiting for me at the entrance. I slowly land myself and greeted them.

"Hyung, where have you been ? You were always one of the first to get here. How come you're the last one this time ?" Chanyeol patted me on the back. I gave him a weak smiled and looked at the others. "Yeah. Did something happen ?" Tao asked me. I hesitate to answer as I try to come up with a lie. "Nah. Everything's fine. I was just double checking," I lied. I sighed in relief when I realized that they bought it. "Great. Let's go. I'm starving," Sehun patted his stomach. The rest nodded at his comment and went inside. We're always hungry when we got back from our patrols. It's a fact.

I paused at the entrance and turned to look back at the horizon. The sunlight hit my face and I could feel the heat from the sun. How am I ever going to find you ? I thought to myself. I heaved a sigh and finally followed them as the entrance closed behind me.

*FLASHBACK OVER*

I've never stop searching for her ever since. Every night on my patrol, I would hover over the same place where I had first seen her. Hoping that she would somehow show up again. She left so suddenly. Leaving me with nothing to remind me of her or even to assure me that it wasn't a dream. I didn't even mention this to any of my brothers. I've kept it all to myself.

But now I know that it wasn't a dream and that she was real and she's right here before me. I had never been so glad about anything in my life. Unfortunately, I had just found that Kai had imprinted on her. I felt my heart drop when I heard about it from them. My heart sank like it was in the deepest part of the ocean along with my hope.

I had hope of finding her but now that I found her she was lost from my grasp again. But I honored the Law and I would never break it. Eventhough I'm devastated about it but I'm glad that Kai had finally found his mate. I'm happy for him. I truly am. I guess that it's just not meant to be for me but I'll get through this. I always do. They don't call me the cold one for nothing.

Finally, it's updated. I am so sorry for the late update. I have my reason. Really, you guys are gonna laugh when I tell you. I was watching a horror movie on my laptop then all of a sudden the ghost appeared on the screen. Instinctly, I slammed my fist on my laptop's charger and I broke it. Hahaha.... I never knew that I could do somthing like that. You should've seen me afterwards. I was practically going crazy. I even cried over the busted charger. Hahaha... What the hell is wrong with me. Anyway, I hope this makes up for everything. Again I'm really really sorry.

And I'm sending my deepest condolences to the families and friends of the passengers of MH370. We all love you but God loves you more. I hope you will all find peace. Quote from EXO's "Peter Pan", "It's not going to be the end of our story, because we will meet again,". I swear my heart skips a baet everytime I hear that part of the song. And it's true, we will see you again
