Lee Jieun is an ordinary highschool girl. She wears thick, rimmed glasses, so to other students, she's a nerd. When she was 8 years old, her mother died in an airplane crash. After that, her father got addicted to gambling and borrowed money continously from loan sharks. Her father left her to deal with the debt herself. She has been running away from debt collectors for 2 years.

             The landlord, Mrs. Kim, of an apartment, found Jieun on the streets. Mrs. Kim took her in and Jieun stayed with her. Mrs. Kim gave her everything she needed. After 4 years, Jieun got her own apartment room and works part-time at a cafe. One day, a guy called Park Chanyeol moved into the apartment room next to hers. Just talking to him changed her life.
