Out on a Stroll
Daddy's Little GirlLim Kim - You Don`t Even Know
When Kyuri came home that day she darted straight inside her room not wanting to interact with the two living under the same roof as her. It seemed like Jongin had taken the day off so he could take her with him to school, and maybe even spend the rest of the day with her, but that wasn`t her intention.
She sat on the bed staring at her injured knee that had now been patched with a Hello Kitty bandage. She remembered the time he would come home buying her the newest of all Hello Kitty stuff that was at the market. She also remembered how her mother used to scold him for that. She would always get afraid if her mother would snatch the toys away from her but he would wink to her secretly telling Kyuri that it was nothing to be afraid of, he was always going to be by her side.
She never did though; she never took the toys away from her as she knew how important they were for Kyuri. How much she cherished anything that came from her father. Even a penny from her father would make her feel so precious and important in his life; like she actually was. He used to tell her how much he loved her more than anything in the world, and how she was created. A small smile was created on her lips when she recalled the time she was quite young asking her father how she came to life.
His expression, it was so priceless. His eyes almost fell out of his sockets as he looked over at her mother who was blushing but laughing at the same time. His explanation it was the cutest. At that time she didn`t know what he was talking about as she was young, but now she understood.
“When omma and appa love each other very much a baby gets born”
He really did love her mother. Recalling at the time they used to spend together she remembered how he would hold her hand tightly while walking on strolls, how her mother never stopped smiling when he was by their side, as she was the happiest girl having a father she could look up to, a role model who was better than everyone else. The day he left was the saddest day for her, but the sadness soon turned to hate. Thinking how he could leave the two behind that he told that he loved more than his own life. How was it possible to leave the people that he cherished more than himself? She never understood that, it seemed like she never would either.
She got up from her bed and noticed the sun that hadn`t stopped shining once that day. It was still bright outside, so Kyuri decided to go on a walk, just around the neighborhood so she could get to know it better. After all she was going to spend most of her time here from now on.
When she finally got out of her room she headed for the front door only to hear Yumi call for her. “Where are you going?” Kyuri stopped her tracks and turned around slowly locking eyes with Yumi and Jongin who was watching TV with her.
“Going out to get some fresh air” She was about to leave when she stopped her tracks once more. “I might need the house keys” Jongin seemed to react as he stood up from his place.
“How long are you planning on staying outside?” Kyuri turned her gaze from him looking at her feet.
“I don`t know that`s why I need the keys” She replied back and when she looked up she noticed Yumi walking over to her handing her the keys without arguing.
“Don`t go too far” Kyuri took the keys from her and walked out of the house without caring to bid goodbye. Jongin slouched back on his seat, but then his eyes snapped towards her room getting up he headed towards it.
Kyuri was walking along the pavement. The wind was dancing in her hair, as it was touching her face ever so slightly. The sunrays kept her from getting cold and the cloudless sky turned this day into a bright one. People were passing by as she was blending in with them, but even so she knew they couldn`t blend. Each and one of them had their own untold stories t
