Surprise Visit [Part two – Awkwardness]

The mornings seem to be getting colder and also at the evening as the autumn season begun. I was doing our monthly inventory with my boss at our stockroom…

“Our shop is having a lot of customers lately, thanks to you.” My boss said as he checked the list he was holding.

“Me? Why?” I bemusedly asked.

“Because of Baekhyun and those other guys that’s always with him, they’re really getting popular nowadays… what’s their group name again?” my boss said as he tried to remember the name the customers always mentioned.

“EXO~” I answered bluntly.

“That’s right, EXO!” he enthusiastically mentioned.

“EXO is the one you should be thanking not me.” I uttered as I filed up some boxes.

“They’re not gonna be a regular customer here if not for you.” He put down the list and pen in the near table and helped me in lifting some boxes.”…always asking for you whenever they come here.”

“Well, I don’t want to sound so arrogant, but I cannot argue about that because it’s true.” I jested and then we both laughed.

A crew peeked at the door as she knocked… “Ye Eun~ah, two of your customers are here, looking for you.”

“See? What have I told you?” my boss said grinning.

“Oh my god Ye Eun~ah, I’m so jealous of you… Luhan and Sehun are there looking for you.” Sumi, the crew, said enviously.

“Luhan~ssi? He’s there? Oh shoot!” I suddenly panicked a bit

“Yeah, and he’s really cute up close.” Sumi dreamily said with a big smile.

“Go now.” My boss instructed fluttering his hand, gesturing to me to leave.

But I didn’t, instead I told my co-worker… “Please tell them I’m busy with the inventories. Tell Sehun I’ll call him later.”

“What’s wrong?” Sumi asked a little bit confused on my reaction.

“Just tell them what I said.”

“Okay if you said so.” She said shrugging.

Even though Luhan and I have straightened out our misunderstanding I’m still a little bit scared of him, especially when his with Sehun~ah. He has beautiful sparkling eyes but when he starts glaring… it gives me goose bumps I don’t know why. It’s like his going to eat me alive. After a moment I received a text message…

Sehun~ah:

I went there to see you... Don’t forget to call me, okay?

 “I’m so sorry Sehun~ah.” I sighed as I returned my phone in my pocket and continue in what I’m doing. I spend my whole duty time of that day in counting, restocking, filing and encoding files and stuffs. Before my shift was over I got a call from Nayoung ahjumma. She asked me to come in their house after my work at the shop.

After a thirty-minute travel, I was at Ahjumma’s place. She was alone at the house since the kids are at the school and Ahjussi is at the store.

“I made kimchi and ddeokbokki. I set aside some for you and also for Baekhyun and his friends.” She said putting some food storage containers in a bag.

“Wow~ thanks Ahjumma these looks delicious.” I said as I opened one of the containers of the ddeokbokki and smelled it.

“Could you bring these to them?” ahjumma asked.

“Right now?” I said with hesitation on my voice.

“Yes. Don’t worry, I already excused you from your work, so it’s okay,” she explained. “Oh yeah before I forgot, JiBin said Joonmyeon was sick so I cooked rice porridge for him, too.” She took a thermos flask and put it also in the bag.

“Thanks Ahjumma, I’m sure they’ll love these.” I took the bag. It’s a little bit heavy. “They’re living by themselves so I guess they miss eating homemade foods like these.”

While in a bus on my way to the EXO Dorm I was in mixed emotion. I was nervous and excited. My hands are cold and shaky. I tried to breathe deeply many times just to calm myself but it has no effect at all. I even become tenser when I got to their dorm. I can’t even bring my self to press the button of the door buzzer. All I can hear at that moment is the deafening sound of my heart beat. I put down the bag at the floor. I jump a couple times while wagging my hands to loosen up the tension I’m going through.

“AHHH! Dang Ye Eun~ah what’s goin’ on with you? Please calm down…” I muttered to myself aloud. “Should I call Baekhyun or just press this freaking buzzer? Ah~ why am I so nervous at the first place.” I was busy arguing with myself when someone suddenly appeared at my back and tap my shoulder. I felt my soul had left me when I turned around and saw who it was.

“LU-LUHAN!” I burst out loud.

 “You look like you’ve seen a ghost… What are you doing here?” he queried looking at me from head to toe.

“I… I… ah… I ha…” I was stuttering and can’t say anything properly.

“Ah, TCH~” he was shaking his head in disbelief as he moved me aside and pressed the door’s pass combination to unlock it. He opened the door and moved at the side still holding the knob to let me in. But I was nailed on where I’m standing and blankly looking at him… “Are you getting in or what?”

“Huh?” I blurted coming back to my senses… “Ah yeah, I’m sorry.” I picked up the bag and hurriedly made my way through the door. Luhan closed the door when we got in. He took the bag I’m carrying and guided me to the living room.

I look around hoping to see the other boys but the place was so quiet. He noticed what I’m doing and said… “Wait here… They’ll be here in a minute.” He put my bag at the center table and left me alone there.

Then a moment later I heard the door opened…

“Oh, Ye Eun~ah!” Baekhyun was surprised in seeing me there. He immediately went to me and wrapped his arms around me. “What brings you here?”

“I have delivery for you guys” I replied.

“Delivery? Did someone order something?” Chanyeol asked the others who were now surrounding me.

“No Chanyeol… Nayoung ahjumma asked me to give you guys these.” I handed to him the bag that’s in the table.

“What’s all this?” Chanyeol asked as he examined what the bag contains.

“It’s Kimchi and ddeokbokki... oh, and the one in the thermos is for Joonmyeon oppa.” I saw Suho looked at me as I mentioned his name. I tried to meet his eyes but he evaded my gaze. I wonder why… did I did something wrong? “Ahjumma heard from JiBin that he’s sick so she cooked porridge for him.”

“Thanks.” Suho said as he gave a quick glanc
