CHAPTER 3: WHO IS THE BRIDE?

 

“Aren’t you going to welcome your soon to be wife?” Taeyeon asked “I heard that they will arrive today”

“I don’t even want to see her, how I can welcome her?”

 

“You’ve really grown as a beautiful woman” Mr. Kwon said as soon as she saw Jessica “I couldn’t even tell that it’s you… you were very little, last time I saw you”

 

Jessica smiled weakly, but you can tell that she’s nervous.

 

“Unnie, breathe and relax” Krystal whispered as she took Jessica’s hand

“Sorry that my daughter wasn’t here to welcome you… she’s busy working” Mrs. Kwon said apologetically, of course all of them know that Yuri didn’t want to come except Jessica and Krystal.

 

Jessica just smiled awkwardly… She didn’t say a word, but you can see that she was relieved

“Thank God! I thought I’m going to see my nightmare as soon as I get here”

 

“Unnie, I was nervous like hell earlier”

“Me too” Jessica answered “I’m really, really thankful that she didn’t come”

“You don’t really remember her?” Krystal asked “Mom, said you already met when you were little”

Jessica shakes her head “And even if I do, I don’t even want to remember her”

“Getting married isn’t supposed to be like this, it’s supposed to be you know full of love like a fairy tale and your wedding isn’t even close there and I can’t help you.”

Jessica smiled at her “You being there for me is enough”

 

“Anyway, Mom said, her picture was on the folder that dad gave you” Krystal said “You really didn’t open it?”

“Don’t have any plan” Jessica answered “even if I didn’t open it I’m going to see her soon”

“Am I a bad sister if I say that I’m also dying to know what she look like or her name?”

 

 

Black Order (Secret Agent’s office) “big fan of Code Geass”

 

“Tomorrow is the ‘d-day’” Taeyeon said as she sat down beside Yuri who’s busy scrolling her laptop

“I d—“

“What’s tomorrow?” Sooyoung asked

“Didn’t we tell you?” Taeyeon asked

“Tell us what?” Hyoyeon asked

“Hey! Stop it!” Yuri said

“You’re making us curious” Amber said as she locked her arms on Taeyeon’s neck

 

Then some agent started to surround them

Yuri sighed in defeat.

 

“so what’s tomorrow?” Sooyoung asked

“Tomorrow is…”  Taeyeon said “Yuri’s wedding…”

 

“WHAT!!!!!????????!!!!!!!!!!”

 

 “You’re kidding” Hyoyeon said

Taeyeon laughed “That’s my first reaction, when I heard it…. But it’s true”

“We didn’t even know that you’re dating someone and now here you are… telling us that you’re going to get married” Hyoyeon said

 

“so who’s the lucky one?” Amber asked “he or she?”

Taeyeon looked at Yuri “you’ll know when u sees her”

 

Amber, Hyoyeon and Sooyoung laughed

 

“When u sees her?” Hyoyeon laughed “means it’s a girl”

“You think fast” Taeyeon said

“Until now, I’m still curious what kind of person she’s looking for… but now I guess… I will know” Sooyoung said “so, what does she look like?”

“See it yourself” Yuri said

“Do we know her?” Amber asked

“I guess so” Yuri said “or probably not….”

“Where is the wedding?” Sooyoung asked

“Sorry, guys… private wedding” Yuri said as she patted Sooyoung’s shoulder

“tch…” Amber uttered “make sure invite us in your new house”

 

Yuri gave her a smile

 

“Two vodka please” Yuri said they at down

“By any chance, do you happen to know who the father is?” Taeyeon asked

“I didn’t even know who and what my future wife looks like,” Yuri answered “how the hell should I know the father of the child?”

“Didn’t they tell you?” Taeyeon asked “you know… we can easily find him”

“They didn’t, and I don’t want to know” Yuri answered “cause the moment I found his name, I will probably kill him for putting me on this”, she said angrily

“Don’t you think you have the right to know?”

“I don’t care” Yuri answered “and it doesn’t matter who the hell he is”

“What if he show up someday and take the child?” Taeyeon asked

“Then I’m really going to kill him”

 

Then Taeyeon’s phone rang “I’m going to take this call. Don’t leave, wait here”

 

Yuri just nodded…. Then Taeyeon went out of the club

 

“Hi” the girl greeted

Yuri just looked at her

“Do you need some company?” the girl asked

“No, I’m fine” Yuri answered “just waiting for my friend”

“I see” the girl said “by the way, I’m Hyunah” then she offered her hand to Yuri

“I’m Yu—“  Yuri couldn’t finish what she’s gonna say when Taeyeon came

“And you are?” Taeyeon asked as she looked at the girl

“Hyunah” Hyunah answered

“Do you know each other?” Taeyeon asked

“Nope” Hyunah answered “first time seeing her… just asking her if she need some company”

“I see” Taeyeon said “I don’t want to offend you or something, but I don’t think we need some company”

Hyunah smiled “Do you by any chance are couple?”

Taeyeon laughed “you wish??... and besides this friend of mine, she’s going to get married tomorrow, that’s why we’re here”

“Really?” Hyunah asked “But she doesn’t look like someone who’s gonna be spending their whole life with her loved ones, she look li—“

“You know what, thanks for the concern, but I think we need to be alone” Taeyeon said

“Sure” Hyunah said as she made her way “Congrats on your wedding… best wishes”

 

 

“Let’s go home… you’re drunk”

Yuri slowly shook head “I-I d-don’t want t-to g-go home”

“You have to,” Taeyeon said “Tomorrow is your big day”

“That’s why I don’t want to go home”

Taeyeon can only looked at her with pity

“Where are we?” Yuri asked as she woke carrying by Taeyeon

“In your house” Taeyeon answered

“Let’s get out of here” Yuri said “let’s drink”

“Drink? Seriously?” Taeyeon asked “you want to drink when you can’t even walk properly?”

“I tol—“

 

“Kwon Yuri!” Mr. Kwon shouted

“Here we are” Yuri whispered, as she stood straight “Hi dad,”

“You have a wedding tomorrow, and look at yourself” Mr. Kwon said looking at Yuri “Have you really lost your mind?”

“Yes dad! I already lost it the moment I agreed on this wedding!”

 

Taeyeon just stood beside Yuri, quietly

 

“Now, can I rest? Because I have to be ready for my big day” she said as she made her way to the stairs

 

“Sir, sorry about that” Taeyeon apologized “I shouldn’t have let her drunk herself”

“No it’s okay” Mr. Kwon said “Thanks for bringing her home”

 

Taeyeon gave her a smile

 

“Sweetie” Mrs. Jung called when she heard Jessica sobbing

“Please rest now,” Mrs. Jung said as she hugged Jessica “You’ve been crying all day”

“I don’t want to get married, please… I’m begging you” Jessica said, sobbing

 

Mrs. Jung doesn’t know what to say and just hugged Jessica tightly

When she felt that Jessica was already sleeping… she put her head on the bed

“Sweetie, I’m sorry” Mrs. Jung said “it’s for you and your daughters own good”

 

 

 

“Yuri wake up” Taeyeon said as she sat down on Yuri’s bed but Yuri didn’t budge.

“Hey, sleepyhead!” Taeyeon said, tapping Yuri’s shoulder “Leave me alone, I want to sleep”

“I will let you sleep, if it’s ordinary day” Taeyeon said “but unfortunately it’s your wedding day”

 

Yuri let out a sigh as soon as Taeyeon mention the word wedding

 

“Just give me five minutes” Yuri said as she closed her eyes

“Nope” Taeyeon said, as she pulled her to get up “I’ve been waking you for an hour, so I guess it’s enough”

 

Yuri sat down, feeling that her room was turning

 “How are you feeling?” Taeyeon asked

“” Yuri answered closing her eyes

“I shouldn’t have let you get drunk last night”

 

“What are you doing here, early in the morning?” Yuri asked

“Isn’t it obvious? It’s your wedding day”

“We could have meet there”

“Your father asked me to sleep here last night” Taeyeon said “so that someone will wake you up”

“Are you my maid now?”

“Nope” Taeyeon answered “but since it’s your day… I’ll do the honor”

“You know sometimes I was thinking if I should be thankful that you’re my best friend or not”

“You should be. I am your best friend, your body guard, and your maid…, only Kim Taeyeon can do that” Taeyeon said “now get up… you have to fix yourself”

“Can I go like this?”

“Of course you can” Taeyeon answered “but I’m sure your dad will gonna kill you”

 

 

 

“Sweetie, you ready?” Mrs. Jung asked

“If I’m not, would you stop this wedding?” Jessica asked sarcastically

Mrs. Jung can only looked down “We have to leave now, they’re already there”,

“Jessie, let’s go” Tiffany said as she went out of the bathroom

Jessica nodded weakly

 

 

“Do you need water?” Taeyeon asked as she entered Yuri’s car, waiting for their scheduled time

“Nope… just need some sleep” Yuri answered leaning on the driver’s seat

“They’re on their way” Taeyeon said, as she looked at Yuri worriedly

 

Yuri didn’t answer

 

“You think you can do this?” Taeyeon asked

“I can’t but I have to” Yuri said sadly

“You know I hate seeing you like this” Taeyeon said “What do you want me to do? Do you want me to shout to stop the wedding when they ask who’s against it? I can do that”

Yuri smiled “Thanks for being here and giving me courage”…

“I’m always here, you know that”

“And besides, it’s not a church wedding you know…but… will you really stop it?” Yuri asked smiling at Taeyeon

“I think there’s your bride” Taeyeon said as soon as she saw Jessica’s car, and changing the topic

 

Yuri’s smiled fade… then she looked at the car

 

“Take a deep breathe” Tiffany said “don’t stress yourself… it’s not good for your baby”

“Stress is an understatement right now” Jessica said “Let’s go, so we can finish this… I want to rest early”

“Why are you smiling like crazy?!” Tiffany asked noticing how Krystal’s grining

“Just excited” Krystal answered

Jessica glared at her.

“I know this wedding is a nightmare for every bride there is but I’m just curious about your soon to-be-wife”

 

 

“So who’s your wife to be?” Taeyeon asked while looking at the car, while Yuri froze on her seat.

 

Then the door opened

 

“She’s here, she’s here” Taeyeon said excitedly

 

Then the next moment a girl with a black hair went out of the car.

 

“She’s here!” Taeyeon shouted, she was going to go outside when Yuri stopped her “why?”

 

Yuri didn’t say a word and just grabbing Taeyeon’s hand, shaking…

“I know…” Yuri said as she squeeze Yuri’s hand

Yuri closed her eyes and calming herself… “I thought you’re gonna go and greet her?”

“I want to but… I don’t know who should I greet” Taeyeon answered

“I thought you’re gonna go and greet my future wife” Yuri still calming herself

“I want to but…….. I don’t know who your bride is” Taeyeon said as she saw two other girls came out from the car

“Huh?” Yuri asked confusedly “didn’t she----“, she couldn’t finish what she’s gonna say, when she saw three girls come out of the car

“So… who is your bride?”
