“hey, Taeng!” Yuri greeted when she saw Taeyeon on her desk

“oh, hey..” Taeyeon greeted back

“are you---“

 

“guys,” Sunny took both of their attention “we got a dead body”

 

“Lee Jonghyun, 25 years old… an artist” Siwon said “found his body inside his gallery”

“any evidence of a break in?” Yuri asked

“no..” Siwon shook his head “no force entry, nothing missing…”

“why us?” Sunny asked “they could just give it police?”

“yeah… but the thing is… there’s a rumour that Mr. Lee is connected to ion” Siwon said “and it’s not just ordinary… a big one… and that big one lead to—“

“Neptune?” Yuri asked

 

Siwon nodded

 

“so are we gonna come over to the crime scene and see what can we find?” Yuri asked

“no… you’re gonna come over tonight” Siwon said

“tonight?” Yuri frowned “we could just do it now”

“the woman who found the body that there’s some art opening tonight” Siwon said “looks like they’re still having it”

 

 

 

Yuri’s POV

 

I’m standing in front of the mirror looking at myself “How do I look?” I turned as I face the angel that’s sitting at the bed

Jessica stands as she walked closer to me, then she fix the tie on my neck “perfect!”… I broke into a smile as I leaned and kissed her

 

“do you love painting?” she asked while we’re walking hand in hand going downstairs

“quite…” I answered “you..?”

“never been a fan of painting” she answered honestly

 

I let out a sigh as we both sit at the couch “I hate leaving you like this”

 

“don’t worry, I called Krystal and said she’s on her way here” Jessica assured me with a smile

“but stil---“

“Yul…” she said “your mom gave you that ticket because she knows that you’re gonna like it”

“I’m…sorry” I said as I looked into her

 

“why are you saying sorry?” she asked chuckling “you’re just going to some gallery… I’ll be fine… just enjoy the night, huh…”

 

I nodded… as she leaned her head on my chest…

 

“I’m not saying sorry because I have to leave… I’m saying sorry, because I’m lying to her… it’s true that my mom really gave me that ticket, but even if she  didn’t, I don’t have a choice but to go, cause that’s where our next mission would be…

 

Ding Dong!

 

“that must be Krystal” Jessica said as she stand up and walked to the door

 

“hey, Krys, I’m going” I said

 

Krystal nodded “take care oppa!”

 

I smiled, she’s been calling me oppa since the first day and I got used to it “you too”

 

Jessica walked me into the car “just call me if anything happen” I said

 

She nodded “drive safely…”

 

I nodded as I leaned and kissed her…

“you’re lucky you have no one to lie to” Yuri said, focusing driving “I didn’t know that it would be as hard like this”

“I don’t kno--, Taeng?” Yuri asked as she glances at her best friend beside her “are you listening to me?”

“yeah… of course” Taeyeon answered weakly

 

Even without Taeyeon telling her, Yuri knew exactly that something is wrong “you wanna talk about it?”

 

Taeyeon said as she leaned backwards

“you’re not stupid… you’re just hoping” Yuri comforted her

“yeah… but it was hopeless” she said,

 

 

 

“shall we?” the man asked as she offered her his arms

 

Tiffany rolled her eyes, as she reluctantly took it…

 

“by the way, you look beautiful tonight” the man said

 

Tiffany just ignored her

 

“are you gonna ignore me all night?” the man asked

“I agreed to be your date tonight, but I never said that I’m gonna talk to you” Tiffany said as pulled her hands “I’m gonna get a drink”

 

 

 

“are we really sure that this Lee Jungshin, the brother is our man?” Taeyeon asked as they both went inside the gallery

“well, can’t blame them… how can you possibly push these things when you’re brother just died on it” Yuri answered

 

“Fancy crowd” Taeyeon said as she took a glass of wine

 

“Wow!” Taeyeon couldn’t help but uttered as the blond girl wearing a very low cut of dress

 

“Taeng, Focus…” Yuri said “you’re supposed to be mingling”

“fine” Taeyeon said as she left Yuri

 

 

Yuri was standing in front of a painting when a man beside her suddenly spoke to her

 

“how tall are you?” the man asked “5’6?”

 

She doesn’t know the man but answer anyway “yeah…”

 

“10 million won” the man said as she looked at her “I’ll bet it’s worth every penny”

 

 

“hey…” Yuri said as she tugged Taeyeon

“there’s really something illegal here” Yuri said

“yeah… I got propositioned” Taeyeon agreed “people coming here… they’re not paying for the paintings… they’re paying for the women”

“yeah… you pay a lot of money for a painting and a woman comes home with you” Yuri added

 

“this kind of party bring back memories, don’t you think?” the man asked as she looked at Tiffany “we used to have fun…”

“this is gonna be the last time that I will go in a filthy place like this” Tiffany said “after tonight… don’t ever appear in front of me again”

“I can’t promise you that” the man said “how can you say that to me after all that we’ve been through?”

“If I could forget you, forget all of you… I will do it, in a heartbeat” Tiffany said “but you can’t…” the man said as he leaned closer to Tiffany “I can’t just let you go”

 

 

“maybe some, clients were not satisfied and want their money back, but Jonghyun, don’t want so he killed him” Yuri said

“then if it’s a client… it’s not the brother” Taeyeon said

“we can’t be sure” Yuri said as she sighed…

“there’s just one way to find out” Taeyeon answered as she looked at Jungshin’s way

“just tell if you got something” Yuri said

 

Taeyeon nodded, as Yuri left to look around, then she took a step towards Jungshin when suddenly---

 

“oh--!” Taeyeon gasped, someone just threw a wine on her

“I’m sorry…, I reall---“

“Tiffany?” Taeyeon asked unsurely

“Taeyeon?” Tiffany asked “what are you doing here?”

“no… I just---“

 

“hey, babe!” a man wrapped her arms on Tiffany’s shoulder, Tiffany was gonna jerk his arm, but the man squeezed her shoulder, which means stay still

“is everything fine here?” he asked  as he looked at Taeyeon

 

Taeyeon looked at the arms on Tiffany’s shoulder, then she looked at her, but Tiffany just looked away, then she shifted her gaze to the man then nodded “y-yeah… everything’s fine”

 

“Nickhun, by the way” Nickhun said as she extended his right hand into her,

“Taeyeon… Kim Taeyeon” Taeyeon said as she shook his hand, then her phone rung…

 

“I don’t wanna be rude to you but Tiffany and I need to go somewhere” Nickhun said

“no… of course not” Taeyeon said “besides I’m also waiting for someone”

 

Nickhun grinned “well, take things easy… have a good and wild night”, then left

 

“Try that again, I’ll tear your arms off” Tiffany said as she jerked Nickhun’s arm off of her

“scary…” Nikchun said playfully as they both in front of the car “stay here… I just need to finish something”

“I’m leaving…” Tiffany said

 

Nickhun smirked “no, you won’t, our little Taeyeon is kind of cute”

 

“leave her out of this!” Tiffany said

“well that depends on your behaviour tonight” Nickhun said, giving her a evil smile “if you know what I mean…”

 

 

“was that Tiffany?” Yuri asked as she pulled Taeyeon on the corner

“y-yeah…” Taeyeon nodded weakly

“what is she doing in a place like this?” Yuri asked

“I don’t know… or maybe she’s one of the-----“

“no, Taeng, of course not!” Yuri said “you don’t think that she’s a….”

“I don’t know Yul…” Taeyeon said “can I go get some fresh air for a second?”

“Of course” Yuri said

“thanks…” Taeyeon then she went outside

 

 

Taeyeon’s POV

 

As I left Yuri, I found myself, in front of the tree not far from the gallery…

 

“why?... you’re going somewhere?” 

“yyup…. But don’t ask where”

 

“AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” I shouted to let out everything that I am feeling right now… but it wasn’t enough…

 

“there’s really something illegal here”

“people coming here… they’re not paying for the paintings… they’re paying for the women”

"you pay a lot of money for a painting and a woman comes home with you"

 

I keep punching the tree in front me, I felt the blood flowing on my hand… it was numb… but still nothing from what I’m feeling right now… the pain inside me…
