A Sneaky Hyung
My Boyfriend's Best Friend
Sulli took the next day off school. While the effects of the drug had worn off, she still didn't feel well. She felt slightly light-headed and her stomach felt a bit upset.
Her parents, when she had told them what happened, were both angry and concerned, not that she blamed them. They were upset that she had been so stupid but worried about what could have happened to her.
That said, her relationship with her parents was pretty rocky. She moved around a lot as a kid; something she always blamed her father for. Not only that, her parents were very controlling and strict. They insisted they were doing what was best for their daughter but sometimes she felt like they crossed a line.
The truth was, Sulli wasn't an amazing singer, dancer or rapper. SM High was a very prestigious school that only accepted the most talented kids - which she wasn't. Her parents, though, were convinced that she would go to the performing arts school no matter what. Even after being declined via auditions, Sulli got an acceptance letter in the mail. She was shocked.
When she told her parents, something seemed off about their reactions. It was only 3 months after enrolment that she eventually found out her parents had bribed her way into the school. She was ashamed - not that she would ever tell anyone what happened. She wasn't grateful to her parents; they had put her in a position where she always felt inferior, like she wasn't good enough.
She shook away those negative thoughts. *I might debut next year. If I'm not good enough, they won't let me debut. It's as simple as that."
That afternoon, she decided she should call Taemin. Despite everything that had happened, he was still her boyfriend.
"Yoboseyo?" His voice was tired.
"Taemin, it's me."
"Oh Sulli I missed you at school today!" The tone of his voice brightened.
"Yeah... about that," Sulli hesitated. She thought back to last night's traumatic events; how she had phoned Minho for help. She wasn't sure how to tell her boyfriend that in her time of struggle, she had called on another man. "Something happened to me yesterday that I think you should know about."
She told Taemin about everything; the drink, calling Minho, Donghyeon's attack, Minho saving her, how she went to the hospital. The only part she left out was what happened in the parking lot. She recalled, though her memory was foggy, confessing to Minho and almost kissing him; an event she justified by being completely out of her mind at the time.
Not that she could tell her boyfriend any of it.
Taemin cursed through the phone once she finished her story.
"Who is this Donghyeon piece of crap?! I will find him and I will personally break his jaw."
Sulli was taken aback slightly since Taemin is rarely ever angry.
"It's my fault... I shouldn't have put myself in a dangerous situation."
Taemin sighed. "No. You can't blame yourself for some pig attacking you."
There was a pause.
He continued, "I just have one question. Why did you call Minho hyung instead of me? I could have protected you. I could have saved you."
Sulli could hear the hurt in his voice. "I don't know. I was really dazed and confused and that's the decision I made. People do all sorts of crazy things when they're high."
"I guess so," he said. He sounded unconvinced.
"I'll see you tomorrow, okay?"
"Ya... See you tomorrow."

Jonghyun, Onew and Minho all sat in Jonghyun's basement playing video games.
Minho swore as Jonghyun beat him. He hated losing... Especially to that punk.
"You know, Minho-ah," Jonghyun said after a while. "I was thinking... You need a new girl."
Minho stared at him incredulously. *But there's only one girl that I want.*
Jonghyun rambled on. "At first I thought it would be Ji Eun but she turned out to be your cousin which is kind of awkward. Then I thought, 'Who do I know that would make a good couple with Minho?' and I think I found someone."
"What do you mean?"
"I set you up on a blind date!"
"Mwo?!" Minho's mouth fell open.
Next to him, he heard Onew chuckle.
"This isn't funny," Minho scolded him before turning back to Jonghyun. "What do you mean you set me up on a blind date, hyung? Why would you do that?"
"Because," Jonghyun elbowed him in the ribs, "you need a girl. It's more than a month since Krystal broke up with you!"
"Aish...," Minho frowned. "Who is this girl anyways?"
Jonghyun winked at him. "Minho-ah, the point of a blind date is that you don't know who you're going on a date with. Just trust in Mr. Amazing." He pointed at himself. "Would I really set you up with a girl who was terrible?"
Minho looked questioningly at him.
"Um yeah," he said, "you kind of would."
Jonghyun slung his arm over Mimho's shoulder. "Have a little faith in me."
"Yeah, it'll be fine," Onew added.
"Why do I feel like this is a terrible idea?"
