An Uncomfortable Party
My Boyfriend's Best Friend
FF: Chapter 15
The next day, the hype surrounding Ji Eun showed no signs of dying down. Sulli was at her locker, picking up on little whispers about her. When the new female student walked into the hall in the morning, Sulli felt the entire atmosphere change.
The majority of the male trainees became momentarily entranced by her beauty. That, or they were just fascinated to see a new face among the other, very familiar, seniors.
"Ji Eun-sshi," Sulli heard one boy say, "I am in love with you! Please be my girlfriend!"
Sulli gagged a bit. You don't fall in love with someone within a day of meeting them. In fact, 99% of the boys now drooling at Ji Eun's feet had never spoken a word to her before now. Yet for some reason they were bringing her flowers and chocolates.
Sulli tried not to judge this new girl with out really knowing her but she couldn't help resenting her a bit. The fact that Minho was acting so friendly with her yesterday only contributed to that resentment.
Speak of the devil.
Just then, Minho walked up to Ji Eun's locker. He made his way past all the other desperate trainees surrounding her. He greeted her with a hug, earning some death stares from the other rejected boys. Ji Eun responded to him, talking comfortably with him.
As Sulli glanced over at them, Key walked up next her, his eyes following her gaze.
"Looks like Minho is already buddy-buddy with the new ulzzang," he stated, raising his eyebrows questioningly.
Sulli looked away and pretended to be concerned with her math books. "It's seems kind of weird to me. She just came yesterday."
Key gave her look. "Not jealous are we, Sulli-ah?"
"Why would I be jealous if I'm dating Taemin, not Minho?"
"I'm not talking about who you're dating, I'm talking about who you like."
She rolled her eyes before leaving to go to her next class.

At lunch, Minho sat down at his usually cafeteria table that SHINee and f(x) shared. When he arrived, he saw that his friends were all giving him strange looks.
"What?" He looked from Jonghyun to Key to Sulli.
"Made some new friends I see," Key answered, raising his eyebrows as he stared down at his food.
"What do you-," Minho began before suddenly realizing what they were wondering about.
"Are you guys talking about Ji Eun?"
If anyone wasn't listening before, they were now.
"Yeah man," Jonghyun said with a sly grin. "She's become the most desired girl in the school and you've already managed to talk to her, AND engage in skin ship with her." He winked at Minho.
Minho laughed out loud, earning himself even more weird looks from the others.
"Guys, she's my cousin. I did notice she was getting a lot of attention though. Good looks must run in the family," he joked.
Their jaws all dropped.
Jonghyun spoke first. "Well... This is awkward." He grinned sheepishly.
"You guys really don't know me well enough. You honestly think I would be flirting with some new ulzzang girl?" Minho laughed and walked off shaking his head.

Sulli checked her watch: it was 8:45 pm.
*Damn.*
She was supposed to be at Onew's cousin Jongdae's party by nine, as instructed by Luna.
After lunch, Sulli's day had brightened up considerably due to the discovery that Minho was actually related to Ji Eun, not just being flirty. It shouldn't have bothered her anyways but since he had just confessed to her, his flirting would have made his confession less credible.
Sulli ran into her front hallway, checking herself in the mirror. She was wearing minimal make-up, not wanting to cake her face with artificial product. She hadn't had time to do anything special to her hair but it was falling cooperatively down her back, cascading around her shoulders. She was wearing dark jeans and a black sleeveless blouse. She had decided not to go with heels since she was already tall enough.
Patting down her shirt one last time, she grabbed her bag and sprinted out the door to catch her bus.
*****
Sulli sat awkwardly on a stool in the kitchen of Jongdae's house, sipping a diet coke. Luna was off with Onew and would occasionally pop in to talk to Sulli about how things were going.
But, for the most part, she was seriously bored.
The house was super crowded, with trainees an students from many different schools and agencies. The music was blaring loudly from Jongdae's expensive sound system.
At one point, a boy saw that she looked bored and came to talk to her.
His name was Donghyeon, she soon found out, and he was a student at JYP.
She quickly realized her was trying to flirt with her. She tried to think of an excuse to leave.
"I have to go to the bathroom," she told him, interrupting his story about some football play he had made. "I'll be right back."
After she left, Donghyeon got a sinister idea. He was getting frustrated by her lack of response when he was flirting with her. Normally, when he saw a girl he wanted - he got her, one way or another.
He looked around the crowded house to see if anyone was looking at him before pulling a mysterious substance out of his jacket pocket.
He then took this substance and dumped it into Sulli's coke that she had foolishly left on the counter.
He had spiked her drink.
