Joongki let go of her as they exited the shop.

Saemi turned to him face to face.

“Look, I know you may want to.....kill me right now, but I didn’t know..” Joongki trailed off, not knowing how to finish.

“You didn’t what to do?” Saemi grinned at him. Joongki looked at her.

“You’re not mad at me?”

“You didn’t anything bad, oppa. Just a little heartache, I guess, on her side. But no.” She smiled.

“You were supposed to get coffee.”

“I was, but it’s fine. I’m sure there are other shops-”

Joongki’s brows rose.

“I have to pay you back somehow.” He said.

“It’s fine oppa, you’re my brother’s friend. I should help you out.” She chuckled before walking to her car.

Joongki watched as she left.

“Well, Lee Saemi is different.”

Saemi rubbed her temples together.

“Well, I heard you were the one the president....”

She looked up.

“I was the one with connections?” She finished. Her boss smiled at her.

“Would you like to prove yourself then?”

“Maybe I do.” Saemi nodded.

“This,” She placed the folder on her desk.

“We’ve been wanting to get these people to dine at one of our hotels, now they’re going to hold a meeting-”

Saemi’s brows furrowed lightly as she read the files.

Then she saw the logo of the company.

“I’ll take care of this.”

“Jung Banking Group?” Minho asked from the phone.

“I need to get his company hold their annual BOD meeting at our Cheongdam branch.” Saemi stated as she exited the department office and walked to the elevator.

“I can give you his number if you want. Ilwoo will surely-”

“Oppa, no. I wont use connetions for this. I have to prove myself.”

Minho sighed.

“Fine, I’ll just send you their address then.”

“Great, thanks.”

“What were you thinking?!”

Joongki winced from the other line, he was on the phone wiith his mother.

“The Kims has always been good friends to us!”

“Eomma, please stop setting up blind dates, I’m too busy for that.” He sighed.

“You’re busy? Mirae said you brought a girl with you.”

Joongki shook his head.

“She’s....we were acting.”

“I knew it. No girl can stand that attitude of yours.”

Joongki chose not to reply.

“Son, I wonder when will you ever settle down.”
