Chapter 17
The AlphaAs you woke up the next morning Lay wasn't there anymore and it made you question if last night was all just a dream. You really wished it was but you knew it wasn't, this was real... and it hurt...
No one would ever know how much it hurt you to see someone in the family in pain, physical or mental. And you couldn't help but to feel terrible for doing that to Lay...
You sighed and rolled on your back, taking a couple of deep breathes. You felt a little light headed and you felt the cold sweat rolling down your neck. *Oh no not again...* you thought.
It was full moon again tonight and your body started to fight the inner wolf again. You didn't understand why couldn't you just change like normal werewolves do. It's like your body was fighting back its nature, and it sure won every time.
You closed your eyes before taking a deep breath and slowly sitting up, making sure your head wasn't spinning too much. You opened your eyes and the brightness of the room blinded you. Your senses again became way stronger and also your hunger. You waited until your eyes adjusted to the light in the room and then slowly stood up.
You could hear the birds singing loudly outside and you knew it was around 10 am, by the way the sun shinned through the window.
You had a metallic taste in your mouth and your stomach was automatically leading you towards the refrigerator. Every time your body was in a fight your appetite got much bigger, now you understood how the guys ate so much.. being a wolf 24/7 must be pretty hard.
"Good morning." Someone greeted you, but you didn't even pay attention to them. You swiftly opened the fridge and grabbed the first thing you saw. You bit into the apple and ate almost half of it in one bite. You started putting things on the counter, eating some of it on the way.
You didn't even notice both packs staring at you. You started stuffing your face with all kinds of food... mixing everything together, salty, sweet, sour.. it didn't matter as long as it went to your belly.
As you ate almost half of the fridge, you felt your body stopped shaking and you regained some power to function normally. You cleaned out the counter and then jumped on it, gulping down the last glass of milk.
You looked around and saw all the guys staring at you with their jaws haning low.
"Has anyone ever told you that staring is impolite? tsktsktsk." You laughed at your own joke as you suddenly felt a boost of energy running through you.
"Ahmm.. are you okay?" Yongguk asked. He was sitting behind the table with the rest of the hyungs.
"Ahh Gukkie oppa.. I'm great." You jumped off the counter and ran to him, throwing your arms around his neck. He chuckled as you sat down on his lap and kicked your feet happily.
Suddenly a flash of last night replayed in your head and you quickly looked around nervously, looking for a certain someone.
"He's not here... he went to the mountains this morning." Suho said not even looking at you.
"Ahh.." you scratched the back of your head. You again felt those burning eyes on you and you couldn't help but glance at Kris. This time he didn't look away, he locked his gaze with yours and something inside you was telling you to not look away.
Those painful memories came back again.. the ones you tried to erase so badly. And it was all because of those eyes that were staring at you right now, it felt like he could look directly into your soul. You remembered how those eyes were once so loving and caring.
You could never understand why he kept staring at you like that. He didn't care about you anymore right? Then why would he get so jealous and over protecting every time you did something with Lay or Yongguk? It was confusing you so much.
You felt like a dark cloud just hung above you and you didn't feel like doing anything else but sleep anymore. You got up from Yongguks lap and you caught his worried glance with the corner of your eye.
"I'm going back to sleep." You quickly said and started backing off. You didn't know why was it so hard to break the eye contact. But you finally did it and ran upstairs.
You stormed into your room, totally forgetting that you were giving it to Bap for the time being. You jumped into your bed and pulled the covers over your head, burying your head in the pillow. Everything smelled like Yongguk and it made you relax.
Soon after your body stopped trembling you fell back asleep.
