Mix Nuts

Min’s POV


“Ei?” I uttered the moment I woke up the next morning when I saw Kyu jong oppa sleeping on the couch inside my room while Jungmin oppa was sleeping beside me.


“Oh right...” I remembered that I fell asleep right after my dongsaengs helped me get cleaned up despite the noise that my brother and his fellow guardians was creating.


“Ke Ke they must be really tired.” I giggled in a soft voice as I used my powers to transfer Kyu jong oppa to my side of the bed and moving Jungmin oppa a little to give more room. They didn’t even wake up a bit.


“Min ah, hang in there. We won’t let our sons die.” I remembered suddenly what Kyu oppa said last night.


“Eiiyeee...” I shook my head to get rid of the blush that I was sure was painted on my cheeks over the words our sons.


“Ya Min! Get a hold of yourself, he didn’t mean that in a romantic way, babo!” I scolded myself as I went inside my bathroom to take a shower and go check on the twins.


“Mommy! Mommy! Mommy awake!” The twins greeted me when I arrived at the living room.


“De. Mommy is awake now. How are my cute little babies?” I asked giving each of them a kiss on the cheek.


“Aki fine.” He said and hugged me.


“Yuki fine too mommy.” He said and hugged me too.


“Then mommy is happy now.” I said as I held unto them tightly, relieved that they were back to their normal selves.


“Mommy where daddy?” Aki asked suddenly making me stutter as I replied, my brains were still a mess.


“Aki, Yuki, Kyu jong is still sleeping to get some rest. He just became the second young herald so he needs sleep. Arasso?” Youngsaeng tried to explain to the twins when he noticed I didn’t answer.


“Awasso hyung, twins no disturb daddy.” They said in unison and I couldn’t help but smile.


“Min just rest here with the twins, Youngsaeng and Joelle, arasso? We’ll go and do some grocery shopping.” Hyun joong oppa said as they stood up and left.


“Unnie what do you want to eat?” Joelle asked me when I looked at the clock to check the time.


“I’ll pass first. I’m not hungry.” I replied even though it was already 11:30AM, my body wasn’t asking for food.


“Arasso. But if you pass out from not eating, I’ll stuff you with stones until you’re too heavy to be moved by a truck.” Youngsaeng oppa said while taking the twins and Joelle with him to the music room.


“Err...Wasn’t that a bit too scary coming from him?” I asked myself while scratching the back of my head before giving out a heavy sigh.


“What am I really to Kyu jong oppa...”


“What do we do now we are comple?...”

“Youngsaeng oppa, wasn’t that a little to harsh?” Joelle asked him as they entered the music room.


“Not really, she hasn’t eaten a thing since this morning, and that worries me.” Youngsaeng said with a smile and ran his fingers along the piano keys.


“Aiggooo you’re enjoying bullying her.” Joelle complained as she helped the twins sit down near him on the piano but deep inside she was a bit jealous of how concerned he was when it comes to their master, Princess Soo Min.


“Any requests?” he asked his audience.


“ABC!!” Yuki announced so Youngsaeng began to play it.


“QRS...TUV...aiiggoo why does this sound so funny.” He complained when he was almost done and his audience giggled at his expression. He then changes the tune into a nursery rhyme and the twins sang with him while Joelle was just staring at him.


Jungmin’s POV


“Oppa wake up.” I heard a voice whispering in my ear.


“Go away.” I mumbled and ignored the voice.


“Ya! Will you quit it?!” I sat up and yelled in an angry voice.


“Carrot juice?” It was then that I realized it was Kimmy waking me up.


“Sure. What are you doing here anyway?” I asked while drinking my juice.


“To wake you up. It’s 3pm already.” Kimmy explained then she pointed to the sleeping figure beside me.


“Ya! Kyu jong wake up! Aissshhh can’t believe I slept through the whole morning!” I said while trying to shake Kyu jong to wake up.


“Was Min unnie like this the first time she turned into a young herald?” Kimmy asked.


“De. She didn’t wake up by the next morning even when we have to go back to the Kingdom. So I just carried her there in her pajamas.” I smirked at that memory.


“Eiii, so having a new power is draining. I don’t want to have one anymore.” Kimmy said and pouted.


“Wae~having magic is cool, you can use it like this.” I said and started a fire illusion and woke Kyu jong.


“Kyu jong-sshii the house is on fire!!” I yelled at his ear and he right away jump out of the bed.


“Waaeeee~” Kyu jong complained when he realized it was just an illusion.


“Morning Kyu oppa!” Kimmy greeted him.


“Morning dongsaeng.” He replied sleepily while stretching.


“Ya! You greet him good morning but you don’t greet the crown prince? How rude.” I pouted and stood up.


“Ke Ke mianhe. Good Morning your highness.” I heard her say in between laughter.


“Never mind.” I grumbled and went to my room to get a shower.


Kyu jong’s POV


“Seems like someone is jealous...and someone is happy that he was jealous...” I teased Kimmy but she hit me on the shoulder instead of retorting.


“Ke Ke arasso...arasso...I’ll pretend I wasn’t here.” I said and thought of my own room to take a shower then I was suddenly there.


“Whoa! Karin never mentioned that being a young herald is like this.” I said in amazement.


Flashback


I was just eyeing the chaos that was unfolding in Min’s room as the guys were busy teasing and bullying each other when Riza talked to me.


“Kyu jong oppa, Karin is trying too talk to you.” She said and I just looked at her with a blank face.


“Karin is your moon necklace, concentrate like how you communicate with your Caster.” She tried to explain.


“How do you know that it wants to talk to me?” I asked this Young herald thing was all new to me.


“Hyung, I forgot to tell you, Riza’s magic is to be able to talk to certain spirits or souls.” Seung Ho announced after he got away from Hyun joong’s wrestle.


“Arasso, I’ll try.” I replied and took a deep breath and tried to ‘speak’ with Karin.


“Can you hear me now?” a voice suddenly entered my mind.


“Uh...ne...Karin right?” 


“De Master, I am Karin, the moon keeper.”


“Nice meeting you, you can call me Kyu jong, drop the master please.”


“Very well then, I wanted to talk to you about your plans on going after fox.”


“What about him?”


“Delay it first. You have just transformed and the star young herald as well as you the moon young herald needs to get used to your new magic abilities. You must learn to move as one if you want to defeat fox.”


“Arasso, I’ll discuss it with the others. Can I ask you a question?”


“What is it?”


“What does Karin mean?”


“It’s a goddess name from a certain show in Japan, I picked it up when you went there two months ago.”


“Were you within me all this time?”


“Ne. Just as how the star keeper was within Master Min’s the whole time. You’re feelings were always clouded with fear, insecurity and a sense of being confused. That was why I had no choice but only appear when everything was clear.”


“When I thought about all I wanted was for Min to be safe and not hurt.”


“Ne. Your love which is pure is what drew me towards you, since you were young the love you give to others were always pure and without doubt nor greed.”


“Komawo, for appearing at that time. I didn’t know what would have happened to them if you didn’t.”


“Ya! Why are you spacing out?” I felt a pillow hit my head making me break my conversation with Karin.


“Wae?~ I was talking with somebody.” I complained as I threw the pillow back to Hyung joon.


“Ei, my sister is asleep, were you talking to her in her dreams?” Jungmin asked and I couldn’t help but smile at his wide imagination.


“If I could do that, I would have invaded your dreams already and give you a spook.” I said teasing him while the others agreed on giving it a try.

“Kyu jong ah make Min eat.” Youngsaeng said to Kyu jong when he took a sandwich at the table while the others were busy talking about something.


“You mean she hasn’t eaten yet?” Kyu jong asked again, it was already 4 in the afternoon.


“I’m not sure what it is, she refuses to talk to anyone, but I can feel that something is bothering her.” Hyun joong said while eating the cucumber that Gab was cutting.


“Ya! Are you guys here to help or to eat all the ingredients?” Gab spanked his hand while Joelle and Alicia were shaking their heads since Youngsaeng and Hyung joon was doing the same thing.


“Here, you can bring her this, its light so it won’t cause any stomach problems from fasting the whole day.” Riza handed Kyu jong a bowl of porridge.


“Ei, you made one for Master but not one for me.” Seung Ho complained and Riza just ignored him like what she was doing the whole night and day.


“Jungmin oppa what snack do you want?” Kimmy asked the crown prince but he wasn’t listening again. He was busy following Kyu jong walk towards where his sister was.


“Cool! Did you guys see that?!” Hyung joon exclaimed when one second Kyu jong was at the kitchen’s door then he was gone the next second and was at the pool’s side tables. 


“Is that one of the new abilities that Kyu jong oppa talked about last night?” Kimmy asked in awe.


“Apparently my sister and him can do a lot of new things.” Jungmin grumbled, thinking about the closeness that was growing between her sister and Kyu jong.


--at the poolside


“Why aren’t you eating anything?” Kyu jong asked his Caster mentally as she was underwater when he arrived.


“Don’t mind me Kyu oppa, I was just thinking about stuff.” Min replied mentally but she didn’t swim up to the surface. She just wanted to hide under water, for her it felt peaceful to be there.


“Could you at least come up here so we can talk?” Kyu jong replied back after giving a loud sigh. His Caster was being stubborn again by keeping all her worries to herself.


“I don’t want to.”


“Fine.” Kyu jong said and dived in to join her.


“Ei, what are you doing here, I want to be alone?!” Min yelled mentally but he didn’t listen to her, instead he used his power and made a big water bubble around them so that they can breathe and stay underwater until he could talk to her.


“Babo. You’re worried about our mission with fox. I’m a part of this too, don’t take it all by yourself.” Kyu jong knocked her head and sat down beside her.


“I...I don’t want to get them involved in the fight. Everyone has been good friends with us, even the guys have started to like them.” Min suddenly burst crying, her tears floating around the water bubble.


“It’s not for us to decide, they were created for that purpose, but I’m sure the two of us will be able to find a way so that all of them will not get hurt.” Kyu jong said looking at her and started to wipe the tears left at her cheeks.


“I’m here with you, don’t forget that I’m a young herald too, and your fighter. I would do anything for you.” He continued but they suddenly chuckled when they heard a loud yell coming from the surface of the water.


“Ya! KIM KYU JONG!! What are you doing to my SISTER DOWN THERE?!” 


“That’s definitely you brother.” Kyu jong smiled and pointed towards the distorted figure they are seeing, plus two more figures holding him.


“Guess we have to go up already.” Min said mentally and swam up ahead of her fighter.


“Ya! What were you both doing down there?” Jungmin asked his sister and she just let out a sigh.


“Kyu oppa, komawo, I feel better now.” Min whispered to his ear and walked away leaving Kyu jong blushing while he was suddenly staring at her. Finally realizing that she was wearing a blue y bikini.


“Ya! Stop drooling over her!” Jungmin hit his head and covered his sister with a big towel and hugs her protectively like a lioness protecting her cubs.


“Someone was sure staring at our unnie...” Kimmy and Gab said in teasing tone and they all screamed when Kyu jong made a huge wave from the pool and directed it towards them and the other guys. Making them all fight and play with water the whole afternoon until it was dinnertime.


---at the music core studio


It has already been two days since the new young heralds were getting used to their new abilities and practicing them as much as they can. Today was an exception though since the guys have their activities, as they were to promote a new song. All of them were present to cheer the guys on.


“Aiggoo these kids are sure having fun running around.” Hyun joong said as Aki and Yuki was running again around in their waiting room with Gab and Alicia chasing after them.


“Let them play Hyun jong-sshi, its okay with us.” Their cordi noona said and was chuckling when Yuki avoided getting caught by Hyung joon by crawling in between his open legs.


“Aki, Yuki come here, let’s change your shirts first. You’re here to give energy to your hyungs, not drain them.” Min said smiling as she took off Aki and Yuki’s shirts.


“Kwenchana. We feel more at ease with them being their normal hyper selves.” Kyu jong said while patting their heads before heading towards the girl that called him.


“Ya! Let’s do a mission.” Hyun joong suggested.


“What kind of mission?” Jungmin asked.


“We must do a mission while performing later.” Hyun joong replied and the rest agreed.


“Arasso. If we are able to do our missions, then the girls have to grant us one wish.” Youngsaeng suggested and the girls protested.


“Ei, why are we in this?” Alicia complained.


“That’s because you agreed too and even suggested what missions. It’s only fair.” Hyun joong said while winking at Hyung joon.


“If we complete our mission, Gab must grant Hyun joong hyung a wish, Joelle to Youngsaeng hyung, Kimmy to Mal, and Alicia to me.” Hyung joon said while smiling.


“Why is Min unnie not in the deal?” Alicia complained.


“That’s because she won’t do it no matter what, and there’s a problem with this Mal.” Hyun joong said and ran away from Jungmin’s carrot attack.


“Just who is that girl?” Min said in a low voice while handing Aki and Yuki their bottles of water.


“That’s kiss noona.” Yuki answered when he saw the girl his daddy was talking to.


“Kiss noona?” Min’s eyes went wide.


“Ne. Noona and daddy kiss middle of street.” Aki replied referring to the scene wherein Kyu jong filmed a scene from his drama SETI.


“Middle of the street?” Min asked in disbelief. I knew he only thought of me as a younger sister, but she doesn’t need to know it like this, she said to herself.


“Mommy, Aki need to go potty.” Aki tugged on her hand, so they went out of the waiting room with Yuki in tow since he always go wherever his twin brother goes.


“Ah! So director said that we don’t have to shoot this week, and that this lines were changed a bit. Komawo.” Kyu jong bowed in appreciation to his partner at a drama he was filming before sitting down in front of the mirror to get his hair fixed.


“Alright you guys, go on standby, you’re up in five minutes.” Their manager called out.


“Hyung, can you guide them to their seats?” Hyun joong asked their manager, referring to the girls.


“Sure, no problem.” Their manager smiled.


“Ei, Min and the twins are not here yet.” Jungmin said looking for his sister.


“One moment then.” Kyu jong said and asked Min mentally where she was.


“She said she’ll go directly to the their seats after she is done with the twins.” He said and the others just nodded.


Min’s POV


“Aisshh. I have to change your shirts again.” Min said while taking off the twin’s shirts since it was soak with water.


“Mommy water fun.” Yuki said in delight.


“Ne, water is fun but we have to stop playing with water and cheer for hyungs arasso?” Min said while she happily changed their shirts, the bathroom was quite far from the stage so they have to hurry.


“Mommy colors switch.” Aki said when he was the one wearing blue and Yuki was the one wearing red.


“Ke Ke mianhe, how about this then.” Min snapped her fingers and they swap shirts.


“Mommy cool, do it again.” The twins waved their arms in excitement.


“Anni, someone might come in and see. No magic around humans remember?” Min said giggling when they pouted then bounced happily.


“So is it okay to show your magic to me, Princess Soo Min?” a guy wearing a black hoodie suddenly said making me turn around and stepping in front of the twins.


“Who are you? In case you haven’t noticed this is the girls rest room.” I said trying to sound calm when my heart was beating so fast. 


“My name is Elaborox, also known as fox.”


“Ya! Hoodie guy get out of here before I get angry.” I said totally ignoring what he was saying. I can’t call out for Kyu oppa they’re on stage right now.


“It’s Elaborox not Hoodie guy! Aissh whatever, you’ll be coming with me.” He said and started casting a spell.


“Aki, Yuki, when I say go run ahead find daddy arasso?” I whispered to the twins while chanting too.


“Go!” I said after I finished chanting a barrier around them as they ran out.


“Wise choice, but not wise enough!!” I felt something stab me from behind.


“What is this? Why can’t I...deflect...it...” I asked, as the pain grew deeper and deeper until I felt my body become numb.


“Like I said, you’re coming with me.”

“Yuki, Aki scared.” Aki said while crying as they made a run for it leaving their mother behind.


“Yuki scared too but mommy said find daddy, we have ta do what mommy says.” Yuki said and held his twin’s left hand as they ran towards the room they remembered earlier.


“Oh! What are you kids doing here, what’s wrong, why are you crying?” SS501’s cordi noona said when the twins entered the waiting room.


“Daddy, where daddy?” Yuki said trying not to cry like Aki.


“They’ll be here soon. They just got off the stage wait here ne? Stop crying.” She tried her best to comfort them but they wouldn’t listen. The minute the door opened they ran towards Kyu jong and started crying.


“Ei, what’s wrong?” Kyu jong asked the twins, confused as to why they were crying.


“Mommy...bad guy attack mommy...” Yuki said and tugged at his sleeve to follow him.


“Min...” Kyu jong’s heart raced a thousand beat when they found the restroom empty with only her bag left.


“We have to find her, kaja.” Kyu jong started to panic but Youngsaeng and Hyun joong stopped him.


Youngsaeng’s POV


“Let go of me, Saeng Min is in trouble we have to go now.” Kyu jong struggled to get loose from our grip but we held unto him tighter.


“Kyu jong, we still have two recordings with only 10 minutes between those. If we disappear suddenly then our cover is blown, and we could also break the hearts of those fans out there waiting for us.” I tried to explain it to him but he won’t listen.


“Min is in trouble, aren’t you worried?!” He shouted, I knew he was panicking, it wasn’t the Princess missing, it wasn’t the Star Young Herald who was taken, it was the only girl he loves.


“Kim Kyu Jong! Don’t you start to think that I don’t worry about my own sister, but we are professionals, we have to finish this first before we can leave.” Jungmin answered suddenly when I was about to speak.


“Kyu jong ah, Jungmin is right, will be risking a lot if we go now. For now, let’s pray that Min is okay.” I said with a heavy heart, I know everyone else was wrecking their own minds on what to do, but at the same time our commitment here in the human world is also important. 


“Min be safe, for Jungmin, for Kyu jong, for the twins, for all of us.” I prayed silently as we prepared for the next stage and let the girls calm the twins and take them home first.

---Somewhere around night


“Where am I?” Min asked herself as she stared at the city lights below her.


“Ei! What am I doing on top of a building!?” She said panic.


“I see, you’re stronger than you look to have slightly broken the spell.” A guy in black suddenly appeared in front of her.


“Ya! You ert weird guy at the restroom, release me!” Min shouted when he wrapped his arms around her waist.


“I told you many times, its Elaborox! And oh one step you take you’re going to fall.” He reminded her as they were standing on a small block above the building.


“Whatever what do you want from me?” Min said as she started to use her powers but it won’t work, she tried to use her mental abilities to contact Kyu jong but it won’t.


“No use using your magic, you are still under my spell.” He whispered to her ears and gave her a kiss and seconds after Min fell lifelessly into his arms.


“Now what will you do Moon Young herald, Star young herald.”
