-1 month later-

                Eli and AJ were sitting in the recording studio. Eli was helping come up with lyrics for their upcoming unit promotions. He was still learning so he would write in English and someone else would make it fit into the song format and translate. AJ was scrolling through stuff on the computer. He kept looking over at Eli, giggling. Eli finally sighed and looked at him. “What is wrong with you since yesterday? You keep giggling at me… Did you find something funny online about me again? You should stay away from tumblr.” AJ laughed. “No, I didn’t go on tumblr. I was just wondering if you are excited about the Malaysia concert with the backstreet boys and them.”

                Eli leaned back in his chair and stretched his arms back. “Of course I am. The backstreet boys are like our heroes. You should concentrate on KISSME Day tomorrow though.” AJ nodded. “Yeah, true. How are your lyrics coming?” Eli laughed awkwardly. “You are probably going to have to re-do them.”

                AJ rolled his chair over to Eli and took the notebook away from him and started reading. He raised an eyebrow and looked at his friend. “You still haven’t dreamed about Jade again?” Eli took the notebook back grumpily. “Shut up! Is it that obvious?” The taller boy nodded. “Yup…”

                A man dressed in a hoodie and jeans came into the room and saw the two boys sitting around. “Eli, let’s record your part for ‘Should Have Treated You Better’. Kevin isn’t here today?” Eli went into the booth as AJ rolled back over to the computer. “Dong Chul-sunbaenim, Kevin will be here later. He is at his moms this morning.” The man sat down in front of the controls for the booth and started checking sound levels. “Right now we are just going to record the English sub vocals.” Eli nodded as they started working.

                Soon Kevin came into the studio as AJ was recording his rap. He greeted everyone and sat down next to Eli. “Am I late?” Eli shook his head. “We told him you were at your moms.” The younger boy nodded and laughed awkwardly. “I see.”

                AJ finished in the booth and Dong Chul sent Kevin in to record the chorus. Eli was mindlessly scribbling in his notebook as the taller boy kept staring at him. He had a secret he couldn’t tell Eli or any of the other members. The only person who knew was the staff person he asked to borrow their email. A few other staff will find out as well if they accept the proposal. He had found Jade through the magazine Eli told him she modeled for. He even saw the pictures of her online. Eli wasn’t kidding when he said she was attractive.

                AJ had started laughing quietly again and Dong Chul looked over at him and Eli. “What’s so funny?” Eli shrugged his shoulders. “He’s been doing that since yesterday. I think he’s broken.” The older man laughed and shook his head and went back to telling Kevin what to do.

                Eventually they had all of the vocals recorded and the producer let them leave early.

                Outside the studio was really cold. It was February and there was snow on the ground. The three of them had planned on walking back to the dorm but a few fans had spotted them so they grabbed a taxi instead.

                Kevin got stuck in the middle between Eli and AJ and Eli kept staring across him at AJ. “AJ, tell me why you keep laughing to yourself…” Kevin looked back and forth between them, confused. AJ just grinned. “No reason. You will find out eventually.” Eli kept asking questions over and over as Kevin sat there awkwardly the whole way home.

                At the dorm, Kevin climbed out over AJ first and ran into the dorm as Eli kept drilling him with questions, he just kept laughing and telling him no. Inside the living room, AJ laid flat on the couch on his stomach. Eli plopped down on his friends back and wrapped his arms around him. “Tell me why you keep laughing at me!!”

                Kiseop came out of the kitchen and stared at the two of them. Eli started wiggling back and forth. “Why won’t you tell me? It’s annoying!” AJ was now whining with his laughter “I told you that it’s no reason!!” Eli tightened his grip. “You are a horrible liar! That’s why you keep laughing at me! You want to tell me!!” Eli started laughing as AJ was squirming.

                Dongho and Hoon came into the living room just in time to watch the two boys fall off the couch. Kiseop and Dongho burst out laughing and Hoon just turned around and went back to his room. Soohyun came in through the front door and saw Eli pinning AJ to the floor and everyone laughing. “Yah!! What is going on?!”

                Eli got off of AJ and told their leader about AJ being weird and not telling him why. Soohyun just nodded and looked at AJ. “Just stop laughing at Eli so much if you don’t want to talk about it.” He pointed at Eli. “You, don’t pin people to the floor a day before a fan meet. What if his face was hurt? How would we explain that? Be more careful.”

                Soohyun finally took his shoes and coat off and went down the hall, followed by Kiseop. Dongho sat down on the couch and grinned at AJ. AJ sighed. It was going to be a rough month for him.
