Daehyun’s POV

When I placed everything into our own rooms I was about to leave when I heard a sound. It was Hyejin’s cellphone.

‘Maybe I should get it for her.’ I said in my head and dug in her back. I took her cellphone out and saw that she had received a message. I didn’t open the message because I didn’t want to invade her privacy. I decided to just grab her purse and dropped the cellphone inside before leaving. I went out to the beach to meet up with them and saw that Hyejin was running around and splashing the water with the biggest smile on. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen her smile like that.

‘Yes… We are back.’ I smiled. Although I was happy I was also worried because now I’m focused on my real future. My dating life…

‘Just what is your answer Hyejin?’ I asked in my head. Just then she ran over to Yongguk and began playing in the water with him.

‘Well’ I’m jealous.’ I sighed in disbelief.

“Daehyun! Come on!” Yongguk shouted to me.

“Oh. Coming!” I shouted and flashed him a smile. The rest of the time the three of us played in the water for a bit. I played with my hyung and then I played with Hyejin. I didn’t know if she felt it too but I was nervous yet happy whenever she held onto me. And then there was Yongguk hyung playing with Hyejin. I couldn’t help but to feel jealous.

“Okay. I’m tired.” I said and walked out of the water.

“Ayy~ Already?” Hyejin sighed.

“I’m… Hungry.” I made something up.

“Me too. Let’s go eat.” Yongguk hyung suggested

“OKAY!” Hyejin was so excited that she grasped onto Yongguk hyung’s hand. I felt myself shrink when I saw that. Ever since I confessed to Hyejin I reminded myself that I wouldn’t let anyone else take her but now…. I’m chickening out…

‘Hyung, why are you being like this?’ I asked in my head. I knew that he didn’t know about me liking Hyejin but still why must you get in between us. Hyejin grabbed her purse and the two of them walked over to me.

“Should we change before going to eat?” Hyejin asked.

“It’s fine like this. It’ll keep us cool and before you know it it’ll dry up.” I beat Yongguk hyung in answering her. 

“People always go to eat like this whenever they are here. Look the restaurant is right there.

“Oh, it reminds me of Hawaii” Hyejin giggled.

“You’ve been to Hawaii?” I asked her.

“It was a few years ago for a vacation. Huh~ I want to go again some day.” She sighed. I wanted to tell her that we can go there together some day but I couldn’t say it in front of Yongguk hyung. When we got to the restaurant the three of us just ate lunch like normal I suppose.

“Hyung you should get a girlfriend” I said to Yongguk hyung.

“Should I?” Yongguk hyung giggled and looked over to Hyejin. Hyejin then looked over to me and giggled.

“Why? Are you feeling lonely Daehyun or does Yongguk oppa seem lonely?” She asked me.

‘What is she trying to say? Is she teasing me?’ I asked myself.

“Forget it” I said and ended the conversation.

‘I can’t even make a proper conversation. Maybe I should just stay quiet since I’m nervous around Hyejin.’ I said in my head

*ring~ ring~ *

Hyejin’s cellphone rang.

“Oh my phone!” Hyejin dug into her purse.

“Oh, yes umma?” She answered her phone.

“Shopping? YES! I ‘ll go shopping with you!” She said excited.

“Okay. I’ll be home in a bit!” She said before hanging up.

“Going to go shopping?” I asked her with a small smile.

“Yes. It’s been like forever since I’ve gone shopping at a mall.” She said before realizing that it was because we travelled back in time.

“Well you better buy something for me.” Yongguk chuckled.

“If I see something that suits you then I’ll buy it.” Hyejin said back.

“Me too!” I said abruptly and awkwardly. Hyejin and Yongguk hyung looked at me weirdly.

“Looks like Daehyun doesn’t want to be left out either.” Yongguk hyung giggled.

“Okay~ I’ll buy you two each a cute dress.” Hyejin joked. WE all started laughing and joking but in the inside I still felt some awkward and nervousness. Mainly because of Yongguk hyung. I was afraid… Afraid of Yongguk hyung taking Hyejin away from me…

“Excuse me I have to use the restroom.” Yongguk hyung said and got up leaving Hyejin and I alone. Hyejin was just looking through her phone and then she smiled.

“Daehyun oppa. Look it was real! I still have our picture” Hyejin showed me her phone screen. There it was the picture of the two of us with ajusshi, ajumma, Mincha, and Himchan.

“I can’t believe that we still have it.” I was so fascinated.

“Huhh~ I miss them.” Hyejin sighed.

“Me too. “ I said taking one last look at the photo.

“Hyejin-ah, Why are you-“

“I’m back!” Yongguk interrupted me.

‘Ahh~ hyung! Wrong timing!’ I groaned in my head.

‘Did you wash your hands?” Hyejin asked him.

“Yes but I didn’t use the toilet. I have to get the water out of my ear.” Yongguk said back. Afterwards we just continued eating. Hyejin just brushed me off and didn’t even bother asking me about what I was going to say to her. When we were done. The three of us walked back to the house. Hyejin went to change her clothes before leaving with her umma and my umma. That was the last time I saw her for the rest of the day.  While she joyfully went shopping I went to the gym and let myself loose. I was so frustrated with myself. I got back for dinner but Hyejin wasn’t even home yet. Most likely she was eating dinner with our ummas at a restaurant somewhere. I then went to my room and just hangout until I went to bed.

“Why am I acting as if I was rejected? I wasn’t, right?” I asked myself. She does seem like she’s ignoring me but that’s not rejecting right? I then came to a conclusion to confront her tomorrow. I didn’t like this feeling of not having an answer from her. I have been waiting for her answer patiently but now I was getting anxious and my will power is depleting.

The next day it was the same. Although I confessed to her it seemed like nothing had happened. She didn’t give me an answer nor did she seem to be effected at all. I’ve been completely ignored. So I decided to follow with my plan and confront her when it was just the two of us. She was taking a stroll in the back yard by herself so I approached her.

“Hyejin-ah” I called out to her.

“It’s a nice garden you have here.” She said right away. I didn’t even get a ‘hi’ or anything.

“It’s my umma’s hard work.” I said back. I then began walking beside her.

“Hyejin-ah… Ummm. I… Are you still thinking?” I asked her nervously.

“Yeah. I’m still thinking.” She said casually as she looked around. I felt really frustrated and anxious yet I couldn’t do anything about it.

“Huhh~” I sighed and looked elsewhere to calm myself down.

“I can think about it as we go somewhere.” She said to me

“Somewhere?” I was surprised

“Where do you want to go?” I asked her.

“Hmmm~ I don’t know. Ummm~ anywhere you want you go?” she said softly.

“Anywhere I want to go?” I thought about it.

“Well aren’t we going somewhere right now?” I said back to her.

“I meant somewhere else. Somewhere fun ore perhaps a place that you like going to.” She said softly with a hint of shyness.

‘What is she trying to suggest?’ I thought about it. Just then it popped up in my head. I stopped and stared at her. She stopped in her track and looked back at me.

‘Could it be that she wants to go on a date? It sounds like it but it doesn’t seem like it… She’s been ignoring me the entire time.’ I said in my head

“… Are you suggesting a date?” I gathered my confidence and asked her.

“Mhmm~” She shrugged her shoulders and turned away.

“Maybe~ Maybe not~ I don’t know.” She said as she kicked around shyly. I immediately smiled.

‘That means she is, isn’t it? Then her answer is yes?’ I was so happy that my heart was racing.

“Hyejin-ah~ does that mean you we’re dating?!” I rushed over to her excited.

“STOP!” She raised a hand in front of me and made me stop.

“I said I’m still thinking about it.” She said making me confused.

“But you just suggested a date.” I said to her. She seemed confused herself.

“Yes but…. I’m still thinking…” She insisted.

‘What’s with her? So we’re dating but she’s still thinking about it?’ I was so confused but I couldn’t help but to think that she was so cute.

“I think you just don’t want to admit that you like me as well.” I giggled. She glared at me and then turned away.

“Whatever you think~” She said and raised her hand to me again. This time I held onto her hand making her surprise. She turned a bit and peeked over to me. Surprisingly she didn’t pull her hand away.

“So how is it?” I asked her.

“Hm~ it’s… okay” She nodded and tried to keep a straight face when I knew she was embarrassed. I then interlaced our fingers and got closer to her.

“I still want a proper answer from you.” I said to her softly.

“Still~ thinking~!” She said cutely and turned away.

“Tsk~ I really didn’t that you were this stubborn” I chuckled.

“What? Do you want me to let go?” She threatened.

“Ah-no~ don't~. I was just playing.” I said nervously.

‘Woah I can’t believe she actually threatened me like that.’ I secretly giggled. We then continued walking slowly hand-in-hand.

“Aren’t you scared of the others seeing us?” I asked her. She then stopped and thought about it.

‘I shouldn’t have said that!’ I mentally smacked myself.

“Well either way we are still going to continue.” I said pulling her along.

“That is why I suggest that we go somewhere.” She said to me.

“Where should we go?” I asked her.

“Ahhh~ I was the one that asked you!” She pouted.

“C-can I kiss you?” I asked her. It’s been lingering in my mind the entire time but I was too afraid to kiss her without her permission.

“No! We are deciding on where to go!” She said sternly.

“How can you not be flustered from that?” I said under my breath.

“What did you say?” She asked me.

“Nothing~ Oh there’s a festival somewhere nearby today. Should we go check it out?”

“Festival? That sounds interesting.” Hyejin smiled.

“Let’s go then!” I said excited.

“Wait! Let go first.” She tugged me backwards.

“Why?” I asked her.

“I don't want to explain this to our ummas…. Or anyone else… as of now…” She pouted.

“I don’t want to let go~” I sighed and thought of a way.

“Do you have everything you need?” I asked her.

“I just need my wallet.

“Forget about it. I’m going to pay.” I said with a smiled and pulled her back the other way.

“But the others will see us.” She whined.

“We can leave through the back gate. No one will see us.” I said with a smile. She was a bit unsure but then I saw her smiling slowly appearing.

“I guess that would work.” She said shyly.

“Come on let’s run!” I pulled her along. We then sprinted towards the back gate at an easy speed. I turned around and saw her smiling widely as she grasped onto my hand tightly.

‘Such a pabo~ Still thinking of an answer when it’s clearly a yes.’ I giggled.

“Do you think there are rides there?” She giggled out loud.

“There should be. If there isn’t then we can go to the amusement park.”

“The amusement park? Then I would want to go on all the rides.” She said happily as we continued sprinting.

“Then we can stay there all day so that we both and go on all the rides together.” I giggled.

“Do you think we can ride all of them today?” She asked me.

“If it’s for you we can always come back tomorrow and the day after tomorrow as well.” I said to her and she smiled.

“Well go on the rides, eat, rest, and go on some more rides afterwards. I can continue on like that for the rest of my life as long as I’m with you.” I said without much thinking. She didn’t say anything back nor did she show any discomfort. In fact she seemed like she was blushing. We then slowed down and began walking since we were far away from the house.

“Really?” She asked me

“The first part might be exaggerated but the last part… ‘Forever with you’…” I repeated and stopped for a bit. I looked at her and waited until our eyes met.

“I mean it.” I said softly and placed a kiss on her forehead. I moved back and gave her a moment to grasp herself.

“Umm thank you.” She said softly with her head down.

“No, thank you Hyejin-ah~ Come on” I led the way with her beside me. I saw that she was slightly turned away because she was embarrassed. I didn’t mind though. Nor did she mind since she kept our hands linked.

I've been so busy that I couldn't update any of my fanfics.
