“If he is annoying you Eunbin, let me know okay”

Yoseob said with an annoyed stare towards the boy behind you. Giving him a warm smile, you shook your head.

“Thanks Yoseob, but its okay for now”

First period was finally over and you were now off to combat training. You felt scared about going there considering you weren’t that good with your bending. Yoseob who was next to you noticed you weren’t packing up your books. With a wary expression, he asked.

“Um. Eunbin, is there something wrong?”

Looking down at your books you nodded your head. You felt like you could trust him.

“Yeah. I. . . I don’t know how to use my bending power very well”

Yoseob stared wide eyes at your comment. He only thought the best benders came here.

“Oh. Don’t worry okay; I’ll look out for you in combat training okay. I’ll make sure no one notices you”

Looking up at Yoseob you could tell he meant every word he said.

“So a water bender doesn’t know how to bend. How sad”

Both you and Yoseob turned around to see a group of boys with smirks on their faces. Yoseob’s once happy face turned into a threatening look.

“Back off air bender”

“Wow so you’re sticking up for the water bender?”

“I won’t tell you again air bender. Now back off”

The boy in front smirked down at you before leaning closer. His left hand extended towards your necklace but was stopped when someone grabbed his hand. Looking up you noticed a boy with red through his fringe, whilst the rest was black had a firm grasp on the other boy’s wrist. He was glaring at the air bender who was trying to touch you.

“I suggest you move away from her, Kia”

Kia smirked still not taking his eyes off you. If he was trying to intimidate you it was working. You wished you were back at the tribe helping your grandmother with her work, even if it was only healing the sick or at least with Niel. He always knew how to help you out in these types of situations.

“What if I don’t, fire bender?”

“Then ill make you”

Each word that came out of the boy’s mouth was a threat. You felt great full to him helping you but you knew if Niel knew that a fire bender and earth bender was helping you, he would confront them then trouble would start. Niel was a good friend you wouldn’t deny that but when it came to your safety, he would overreact to things that put you in harm’s way. Kia re treated his hand away from you but still wouldn’t break eye contact.

“Fine, I’ll get to talk to her again when you’re not around. Plus we have combat training next, and I think the rest of the class would love to know the school accepted someone who couldn’t bend properly”

Laughing along with the rest of his friends, they exited the room leaving you feeling scared to go the next class. Looking up at the red haired boy you couldn’t help but feel scared around him. He had this scary aura about him that made you feel small.

*A fire bender? Why would someone who is from the fire tribe help a water bender?*

 The fire benders eyes diverted down to yours. Due to his sudden action your eyes widened. His eyes were the same red colour as his hair, and he had a red ring on his right index finger symbolizing he was from the fire tribe.
