Forty-Nine Days
Never forget the goodnight kiss. And always remember to say, “Sweet dreams.”
Xiumin is exhausted. When he reaches their flat, he almost collapses right at the front door. The long, endless hours of practice are torture. What he doesn’t understand is the fact that company still puts them under callous trainings even though they debuted three months ago.
He tosses his duffel bag at the couch and makes a mental note to put it away tomorrow. He proceeds to their room, inaudibly hoping that Kyung would be there.
She’s here.
A smile draws on his lips when he sees her in deep slumber. Taking off his coat and his shoes, he quietly tiptoes to her side. The bed creaks and Kyung stirs awake, but her eyes don’t open. As if on cue, she immediately nestles closer to his chest.
The exhaustion and disappointments seem to fade away.
He places a kiss on her forehead, lingering his lips there for a long time. Then he whispers, “Good night, baby. I love you. And sweet dreams.”
Tomorrow would be the day.
