EDITED

Two weeks have passed by. Taeyeon and Sunny have been back to their regular selves, or so they thought. The two no longer walk out of the shower as they deemed it to be too awkward and strange. They suddenly stopped bringing boys over and resorted to hotels or others’ homes the few times they felt their urge.

Hyoyeon found herself in a similar situation. She slowly but surely felt herself lose the urge to go out and have fun. It was probably because that night with Jessica left a bad taste in . She has become tolerant with sharing the same bed with Jessica and even cleared out some of her clothes to let the girl put her clothes somewhere. Though Hyoyeon has warmed up, not more than a couple of words would come from when speaking with her. Her pride didn't let it go. Jessica has accepted their situation but didn’t give up. She was determined to make the girl forgive her.

It’s a Saturday and the girls took their weekends off to relax and spend time with each other.

“Hey girls, what do you want to do today?” Taeyeon walked over to the couch.

“Iunno. What’s there to do?”  Sunny sat on the couch.

“What about the carnival that opened yesterday? It sounds fun.” Sooyoung suggested.

“Hell no. I got no partner and I want to do something that I haven’t done before.” Hyoyeon said as she walked out of the kitchen with freshly cut fruit.

Jessica felt a surge of pain from Hyoyeon implying her discomfort being next to her the entire day.

“Any suggestions, Sica?” Taeyeon looked over to her.

“Uhhh… how about bungee jumping?” She said.

“You?! Bungee jumping?” Sooyoung broke out in laughter.

“What’s so funny?” Hyoyeon questioned.

“She’s deathly afraid of heights.” She said trying to calm down.

“Hey! It’s a step to getting over my fears!” Jessica defended.

“Alright! Bungee jumping it is!” Sunny said.

“Sounds good! We’re leaving in twenty!” Taeyeon said.

Everyone got up and went to change as they were still in their PJs. Tiffany couldn’t come as she was overseas in Australia shooting a commercial for a local clothing brand. They all came down changed and ready to go. They decided to go in Hyoyeon’s car since it had more room than Taeyeon’s.

After an hour of driving they arrived at a bungee jump center in the mountains somewhere. As they looked up at the platform they will soon have to jump off of, Hyoyeon, Taeyeon and Sunny leaped in joy while Jessica was left to rethink her brilliant plan to get over her fears. Sooyoung trailed behind them frightened not by the height but at the whole situation.

After receiving lessons on how to jump and how to position their arms and legs, they suited up and readied themselves. In excitement, Sunny volunteered to go first. Chickening out at the last minute, Sooyoung waited at the bottom with a camera ready to tape their expressions.

Without holding back, Sunny took off and jumped into the sky with arms open wide and legs spread out. She felt one hundred pounds of stress lifted from her small body as she fell towards the lake that welcomed her. As her jump dies down she was let down slowly from one of the employees pulled her to the ground.

Taeyeon got ready to jump but before she could, a slight shock came through here realizing what she was about to do. Quickly shrugging it off, she ran towards the ledge and jumped off screaming. Relieved that the jump has done justice to her just as it had done to Sunny, she smiled her signature dimple smile with her bright white teeth showing towards Sooyoung’s camera throwing a quick peace sign while she was at it.

Next was Jessica.

“Ahhh! I’m scared! I’m scared!” Jessica hugged the pole closest to her.

“Oh come on! You wanted to do this!” Hyoyeon nagged.

“Yeah but now I’m having second thoughts!” Jessica pleaded.

“Hurry up and jump! I’m after you!”

“You can go right ahead! I’ll go after.”

“No you won’t!”

“Yes I will!”

“If you’re sorry to me you’ll jump right now!”

Jessica let out a long sigh. She looked at Hyoyeon who looked back at her with anticipation. Unhappy about Hyoyeon blackmailing her with her amount of, sincerity she let out a pout. Unwilling to give up she stood confident and walked to the ledge. Here goes nothing. All this to prove to you my sincerity. She closed her eyes, counted to three and jumped. let out her horrid dolphin scream as her hands covered her eyes from seeing the world flash by.

Good job. I knew you could do it. Hyoyeon smiled as she watched from above. While the employees fixed her gear she prayed. God, if there is a God, please turn fate on my side. She opened her eyes and jumped forward as she watched the trees, lake and clouds mush together into one blob as she fell.

They all took off their equipment and gave it back to the employees. On their way back, Sooy

Chapter 50: WHY IS THIS SO GOOD? I know why, because you are an amazing writer who only gets better with each chapter and your progression of the story was very much more believable than most stories in which "they got together after first sight". You developed the characters and gave them their flaws and their strengths and how that translated into the story was amazing. It looks like Punch could be an entire spinoff/sequel story on its own, but I feel content with you not doing a sequel and that's a good thing. Its one thing to leave your readers wanting more, but to do that AND make them feel content without more is a weird paradox you accomplished. Your writing style is not the most sophisticated or fancy, but its one that allows for many readers to enjoy simply, but has enough complexity to make it leave no questions unanswered. I loved this story and can't wait to read more from you
