EDITED

Hyoyeon retreated away from his arms and gave him another warm smile full of happiness. Junho reciprocated with more enthusiasm. He stepped to his right side and held out his hand for Hyoyeon to take. She happily complied and they made their way out of the house forgetting that there were people watching them from behind. He led her to the passenger seat of his car and opened the door. After she got in, he quickly made his way to the other side and hopped into the driver seat. In one swift motion, he brought his car to life and exited the driveway.

Hyoyeon felt ecstatic from the fact that she had Junho back in her life. A smile crept onto her lips as she thought of the bountiful adventures they had in store for the future. Junho noticed Hyoyeon's bright mood from his peripheral vision and smiled along with her.

"Why so happy all of a sudden?  I didn't know you missed me this much," he chuckled while looking at the road.

"Of course I missed you!" Hyoyeon punched his shoulder. "What kind of question is that?!"

"I see your old habit hasn't been fixed yet," he teasingly rubbed his punched shoulder while keeping his right hand on the steering wheel.

"Nope! And I'm not ever going to be fixing it now that Sica's here," she chuckled back.

"Sica? Who's that?" he asked while he turned a corner.

"You know Jessica Jung the musical actress?" she questioned back.

"Of course I know her. I'm a big fan!" he exclaimed.

"Well she's my violent roommate," her smile grew wider thinking about said person.

"Looks like you really enjoy having her around."

"I do. At first I hated her though. I hated her so much," she frowned regretting her past deeds a bit.

"She must have done something really horrible to have the sweetest person in the world hate her," he turned and looked at her admiringly.

"It was the past. I gradually discovered who she really is. She may act like a to people she doesn't know but I could tell it's the only way she knows how to protect herself," Hyoyeon tapped her chin.

"Kinda like you?"

"Yah! You just said I was the sweetest person in the world and now you call me a ?!" she punched him again.

"Oww! See what I mean?!"

"Oh it up! It doesn't hurt!" she punched him once more.

"Noonaa!" he pouted and whined while parking the car.

She laughed at his childish ways and opened the car. They arrived at a very familiar place they both reminisced about. The two of them walked out of the parking lot and went to the ticket stand. Just when Hyoyeon was about to take out her money, Junho stopped her like any other gentleman and paid for the both of them. She knew it was no use in arguing so she just accepted his generosity.  He extended his left elbow since he knew Hyoyeon was a lefty. They both went to the entrance of the park and looked up at the sign.

"It's been a while since we've been here huh?" Hyoyeon spoke.

"Yeah. Honestly, the last time I came was with you," he laughed a little.

"Same. It didn't feel right going here without you on my right side," she smiled.

"Then let's not waste anymore time! The rides are waiting for us!" he impatiently pulled her right hand towards the first ride he saw.

Taeyeon and Sunny sat in the living room a bit confused as to what just happened. Jessica speedily left for her room while Hyoyeon forgot about their existence once Junho stepped foot into their house. Sooyoung sat impatiently in the sofa next to them. She couldn't help but feel like something was off. Her eyes met Taeyeon's and they both understood. Sooyoung got up from her seat and headed straight for her room. Taeyeon excused herself from Sunny and quickly followed. Sunny didn't mind since she knew Taeyeon would eventually tell her later.

The two girls sat on Sooyoung's bed and took a deep breath. Sooyoung scooted over to the left side and went under the covers leaning back on the headboard. Taeyeon did the same.

"You thinking the same as me?" Sooyoung broke the silence.

"You worried over Sica?" Taeyeon questioned.

"Yeah."

"Me too."

The both sighed in frustration. Neither of them knew what to do but it was a situation they couldn't ignore. Taeyeon played with the hem of Sooyoung's blanket while Sooyoung drowned herself in deep thought.

"You know that Jessica loves Hyoyeon right?" Taeyeon didn't know what else to say but she was getting impatient waiting in the silence.

"Yeah I know. She loves her a lot but I feel bad. Hyoyeon isn't like us. She doesn't like girls and she's very stubborn," Sooyoung pouted.

"I know where she comes from Soo. I'm still a little awkward with Sunny sometimes. Though it may seem like nothing's changed, it's very different for us."

"But at least you two accepted it and acknowledged it."  Sooyoung comforted. "To be quite honest, I don't even know if Hyo has the slightest feeling towards Sica. Or at least what Sica feels for her."

"I think she does. It's not love, but it's definitely something. She cares for Sica a lot more than us," Taeyeon mentioned.

"But that's Hyo being Hyo. I'm pretty sure she takes care of Sica more than us is because she knows that we can take care of ourselves," she debated.

"I don't think that's it. I saw the way Hyo looked at Sica during the musical. It was the same look you normally have when you look at Fany."

"I don't know then," she sighed in frustration, "even though I'm happy that Junho came back into Hyoyeon's life, I can't help but wish he hadn't; for Sica's sake."

"I know how you feel," Taeyeon looked at Sooyoung quickly after. "Why don't we just wait it out? Let's just give Sica her space and talk to her after dinner or something."

"Sounds good to me," Sooyoung agreed.

"Okay. I'm go take a nap in the meanwhile. I'm tired," she yawned.

"You didn't even do anything today," Sooyoung shook her head in disappointment.

"Shush! Just let me have my beauty sleep."

"Yeah you need more of that," she chuckled.

"Yah!" Taeyeon nagged, "you punk!"

Taeyeon playfully threatened the girl with her fist up ready to punch. She chuckled and walked out of the door into her own room. Multiply worries were taking refuge in her already stressed brain. She had family problems to figure out and a very stubborn sister to break through. Sunny came up the stairs to see what was taking the two so long but she met a very stressed out Taeyeon standing in front of their door in the hallway. Sunny stood in front of her and looked at her with worry. Taeyeon simply put on a smile and shook her head knowing Sunny's telepathic question.

"I'm going to take a nap before I make dinner. Wake me up in two hours okay?" Taeyeon took a hold of Sunny's hands and lightly swung them from side to side.

"I'll join you. I'm a bit tired too," Sunny smiled and pulled Taeyeon into the room.

Sooyoung sunk into her comforters and hugged her pillows in exhaustion. "Seems like everyone's tired except for you, Hyoyeon." She spoke to no one in particular. Her eyes closed but her mind was far from allowing her to gain rest. Keep trying, Sica. She's a tough nut to crack but keep trying. You're almost there. Everyone here is supporting you. She inhaled a long breath and exhaled slowly. She prayed for God to be on Jessica's side. She smiled and let her last thought drift her off to sleep. I know once you have her, she'll never let you go.

Hyoyeon and Junho took a seat at one of the benches after four hours of endless rides. Since it was the weekday, the amusement park wasn't as crowded. They were able to ride most of the rides in the few hours they had. Hyoyeon took a deep breath of exhaustion and began the ice cream she got at the stand not too far away. Junho began to eat his own ice cream but he was quite curious to know more about what Hyoyeon had been up to these past couple of years. He leaned into the table more and looked at Hyoyeon.

"So how have you been these past few years? Still having fun with boys?" His question came out more sarcastically than he intended.

"Nahh," she blew it off, "I stopped. I've just been so busy lately," she continued to eat her ice cream.

"With what?" he kept his as well.

"Teaching, Jessica's musical and recovering from injuries," she said nonchalantly.

"What you got hurt?! What happened?" his eyes open more widely.

"Don't worry about it. I'm fine now. I heal fast remember?" she reassured, "well anyways, I pushed Jessica out of the way of a truck but I couldn't get away fast enough so I got injuries to my head and left leg."

"Are you sure you're okay now, Noona?" He doubted her.

"Yes. I'm okay Juniee," she used her nonexi

Chapter 50: WHY IS THIS SO GOOD? I know why, because you are an amazing writer who only gets better with each chapter and your progression of the story was very much more believable than most stories in which "they got together after first sight". You developed the characters and gave them their flaws and their strengths and how that translated into the story was amazing. It looks like Punch could be an entire spinoff/sequel story on its own, but I feel content with you not doing a sequel and that's a good thing. Its one thing to leave your readers wanting more, but to do that AND make them feel content without more is a weird paradox you accomplished. Your writing style is not the most sophisticated or fancy, but its one that allows for many readers to enjoy simply, but has enough complexity to make it leave no questions unanswered. I loved this story and can't wait to read more from you
