When You're Mad
What am I?EDITED
Hyoyeon's eyes bulged out of her eye sockets. It seemed as the world had stopped spinning and time had froze. She carefully looked at Taeyeon who seemed to be in the same boat as her. Never in her life did Taeyeon think she would come across this subject. Afraid that Sooyoung might find out that something was awfully wrong, she kept her composure. She kept her Popsicle as if it didn't mean anything to her. Hyoyeon understood what Taeyeon was intending and played along with her little charade. Thinking she left Sooyoung unanswered for too long, she finally spoke.
"Brother? I don't have a brother though," she said nonchalantly.
"That’s what I thought too!" Sooyoung pointed at her, "but then he insisted on meeting you."
"So what'd you tell him?" Hyoyeon asked and resumed massaging her leg.
"He seemed pretty damn persistent about meeting you, so I told him your restaurant's address."
"YOU DID WHAT?!" Taeyeon spit out the chunk of Popsicle she just bite off.
"He didn't seem like he would hurt you." Sooyoung cowered in fear.
"Aigoo! What have you done Soo! You just told a stalker her address!" Hyoyeon punched Sooyoung's arm and knocked on her head.
"I'm sorry! I wasn't thinking," she apologized.
"Aigoo… anything else Soo?" Taeyeon rubbed her temples in frustration.
"He's coming tomorrow," she mumbled with her head lowered.
Hyoyeon sighed. "You are so lucky that we love you enough not to kill you right now," she poked the tall girl.
"It'll be okay right Tae? I mean you could kill him if you wanted to. It's not like you're some defenseless little girl." Sooyoung said to Taeyeon as she stood up and dusted the grass off her .
"But she looks like one," Hyoyeon said under her breath.
"Yah!" Taeyeon gave her sister a hard punch on her bruised shoulder.
"Yah! That hurt!" Hyoyeon rubbed the assaulted spot while pouting.
"Good!" She got up and wiped the grass off her . "Let's go home now or else the girls will worry. Soo, you start walking first."
"Okay…" Sooyoung walked down the hill first with her head hung low.
Taeyeon went to Hyoyeon and pulled her up slowly. She turned around and Hyoyeon climbed on. Taeyeon slowly walked down the hill and tried to decide what she was going to do next. She didn't what the others to know of the situation.
"What are you going to do Tae?" Hyoyeon whispered into Taeyeon's shoulder.
"I don't know, Hyo. What should I do?" Taeyeon whispered while frowning. They both kept their voices in a whisper to make sure Sooyoung couldn't hear them from ahead.
"Don't you think it's time that you tell the others?" she felt concerned for her sister.
"I didn't tell them about this before because I didn't think it would be necessary. I never thought this would happen," Taeyeon said with a hint of frustration.
"So what are you going to say when he shows up at your restaurant?" She tightened her arms around her neck, hoping it would give her sister some comfort.
"If it really is him, I don't want to be associated at all." She tilted her head towards Hyoyeon's and let it rest. She felt disheartened.
"Family is still family, Tae. You can't hate them forever." Hyoyeon playfully knocked her head on Taeyeon's.
"Then what about yours huh?" she sighed. "They're not my family. You are. You're the only family I have." Taeyeon looked at Hyoyeon with saddened eyes.
"I don't even remember who my family is let alone care for them." Hyoyeon gave a comforting smile. "You're the only family I have too. So whatever you decide, I'll help you in whatever way I can."
"Thanks Hyoraengi," she playfully kissed her sister on the cheek.
"Yuck." Hyoyeon wiped her cheek on her shoulder, keeping her arms around Taeyeon's neck.
They both laughed.
Sooyoung stopped walking when she heard laugher behind her. She turned around and saw chuckling between them. She didn't like walking alone. It made her feel lonely. She went up to the two assuming that they weren't as angry as before. Taeyeon and Hyoyeon ceased their laughing and looked at the tall girl standing in front of them.
"Since you guys are laughing, does that mean you aren't mad at me anymore?" Sooyoung asked nervously.
The sisters looked at each other and smiled. They turned back to Sooyoung. "Why?" Hyoyeon asked.
"I want to walk with you guys again." Sooyoung pouted.
"Such a kid." Hyoyeon shook her head from left to right, "okay," she smiled.
Sooyoung smiled back and they all walked back home. Not long after, they got back home. Sooyoung went straight to her room, ready to knock out from a very long day. Taeyeon brought Hyoyeon to her room but before she could set her on the bed, Hyoyeon whispered to her. "Yah. I still have to brush my teeth!"
"Oh right." Taeyeon whispered back and chuckled.
When she finished brushing her teeth, Taeyeon brought her back to her room. She sat her on the bed and they both said good night. After Taeyeon closed the door, Hyoyeon slowly got under the covers, careful not to disturb Jessica who was sleeping beside her. Little did she know, Jessica was still awake. Once Hyoyeon got comfortable in bed, Jessica suddenly turned around.
"Where'd you guys go all of a sudden?" she asked.
"Ahhh!" Hyoyeon put a hand on her fast beating heart. "Sica! You scared the crap out of me!"
"Sorry." Still lying down, she stuck her tongue out.
"What's it to you?" Hyoyeon asked back.
"Nothing. Just curious since it was so sudden," she brought the covers over her shoulder.
"It's none of your business," she poke Jessica's forehead.
"Ouch," she rubbed her forehead cutely, "awhh come on. Tell mee~" She pouted.
"Why do you want to know so much?" Hyoyeon pulled the covers over.
"I'm worried."
"What for? You're not even my girlfriend."
"Then can I be?" she broke out a toothy smile and batted her eyes.
Hyoyeon knocked her forehead. "Go to bed."
"Fine fine fine!" Jessica turned around in defeat.
Hyoyeon just laughed inside her head. What kind of ice princess acts like a child? Even though the matter was settled, she didn't see the harm in telling her. She did mess with her a bit so the least she could do was tell her something but she didn't know what to say. She couldn't reveal what they talked about at the park.
"We were just catching up. It's been a while since we talked to each
