What am I?EDITED
Sooyoung stirred up to an annoying sound ringing from both ends of her ear. She turned to the side; eyes closed and felt around for the rectangular object responsible for interrupting her beauty sleep. The constant buzzing scratched the back of her eardrums causing much aggravation to the tall girl.
She grabbed her phone and answered with annoyance. “Hello.”
“What’s up with the attitude huh?” The caller retaliated.
At the sound of her voice, Sooyoung bolted up into a sitting position with eyes wide open and quickly regretted answering with such apathy. “Sorry, Fany! What’s up babe?”
“Are you Sica now? It’s 1pm and you’re barely waking up?” Tiffany nagged her.
“Give me a break Fany-ah. I went to bed at three in the morning.” Sooyoung complained with her cringe-worthy aegyo.
“Why so late?”
“The group of girls I taught only had time from 12am- 3am. I had no other choice.” She complained.
“Awhh, poor baby.”
“ Anyways, what’s wrong? You never call me during your work hours.” she said with concern.
“Oh right! I called you to tell you that you got the job!” Tiffany exclaimed with excitement.
“What really?! How?! I thought I didn’t have the body for that?!”
“Oh please! I see that glory every day. If that isn’t a body I wouldn’t know what is. Anyways, he wants you over here now. You already have a project!”
“REALLY?!”
“Yeah! So you better get here quick! I’ll tell you more about it when you get here.”
“Okay! Tell him I’ll be there in twenty mins. I need to get ready first!”
“Forget the makeup you don’t need it!”
“Alright alright! I’m coming now! Bye babe! Love you!”
“Love you too, Giraffe!”
Sooyoung hung up her phone with a smile. She quickly went to her closet and searched for appropriate clothes to wear for such occasion but was stopped by the heaps of clean, unfolded piles of clothes on the floor. Damn it. Why do I have to be such a slob! UGHH! She thought as her eyes grazed through the mountain searching for an article of clothing that stood out. After five minutes of unnecessary searching, she found the perfect outfit. Hurriedly throwing her outfit on, she went down the stairs and out the door while grabbing her purse along the way.
Not too long after, she arrived at the company building and was welcomed with an equally ecstatic girlfriend standing at the entrance. She smiled and quickly ran to her lover. Without wasting a second, Tiffany grabbed Sooyoung’s hand and led her to her boss.
Sooyoung could hardly keep her emotions in check. Even though the job wasn’t such a big deal, it was for her since it would be her first real job on her own. She felt proud to be able to contribute her own well earned money to her family. Just like how a daughter who would be proud of herself, another smiled swept across her face at the thought of showing Hyoyeon and Taeyeon her first paycheck. As Tiffany led her through what seemed to be an endless amount of hallways, Sooyoung could only feel more nervous. Tiffany noticed quickly because Sooyoung’s pace was slowing down. She stopped and looked back at her girlfriend.
“What’s wrong Soo?” Tiffany looked at her with worried eyes.
“It’s nothing. I’m just a bit nervous.” Sooyoung laughed awkwardly.
“Yeah I could see that. You’re sweating like crazy.” she chuckled.
“Yah… you’re supposed to be supporting me,” she pouted.
“I’m just kidding baby. You’ll be fine.” she shook her arm. “Don’t worry. He’s seen you before.”
“Oh really? Is he a stalker?” Her eyes were wide open.
“No silly! He sees you picking me up all the time babo!” Tiffany knocked on her forehead playfully.
“Ahh. Gotcha!”
“Let’s go. We’re going to be late at this rate!”
The two of them quickly walked to the set. They walked through the doors and looked around for their boss. Tiffany spotted him sitting at the table looking at the photos coming in from the current photo shoot that was in motion. She went up to him and bowed. Sooyoung did the same.
“Anyeonghasaeyo depyo-nim” they both greeted.
He turned his attention to the two beautiful girls on his left. “Oh Tiffany!” he stood up. “What’s with the formality hm? You know I don’t like that!” he laughed.
“It’s fun though, Oppa!” she flashed her eye smile.
“Aigoo,” he turned his attention to the silent girl standing next to her, “and you must be Sooyoung-shi right?”
“Ah, yes,” she bowed, “I’m Choi Sooyoug.”
“I’m Lee Sungmin, your boss but don’t call me that, it makes me feel old,” he smiled. “Anyway, sorry to call you over here on such short notice.”
“It’s okay. I wasn’t doing anything important.”
“She was sleeping when you told me to call her.” Tiffany butted in.
“Yaahh!” Sooyoung elbowed her in the side.
“Haha! Oh really?” Sungmin laughed.
“Baby, that hurt!” Tiffany pouted.
“It was supposed to hurt.” Sooyoung scoffed.
“Awhh look at you two. Hate to break you girls up at this beautiful moment but, Tiffany did you forget you’re still in the middle of a photo shoot?”
“Woops! Gotta go babe! I’ll see you at the end of work!” Tiffany pecked Sooyoung’s lips and went out the door.
“Okay, what’s there for me to do?” Sooyoung asked.
“Do you mind modeling as a guy from now on?” He asked seriously.
“Eh? Well… I prefer not to but since it’s my job I’ll do it anyways.” Sooyoung replied defeated.
“Okay, just making sure. Don’t worry, if I wanted a male model I would have hired an actual male. Haha. It’s good that you told me straight up,” he smiled.
“Phew, that was close.” Sooyoung wiped the nonexistent sweat off her forehead.
“Follow me.”
Sungmin led the way to one of the many dressing rooms on the set. Sooyoung’s eyes lit up immediately once she saw the dozens of outfits hung on the rack. Sungmin saw the sparkle in her eyes and knew she was excited. She went up to the rack and ran her fingers through a couple of the outfits and praised the designer who thought of such brilliant arrangements.
“Excited aren’t you?” he smiled.
Sooyoung turned back around embarrassed. “Yeah.”
“These first seven outfits are arranged for you to wear today for this photo shoot. I picked them out
