PS: HYOYEON'S VERSE IN GOODBYE... DEAD. I already love/ have the entire album...

A long and strained grunt left a saddened throat. Her eyelids were heavy from last night and she couldn’t believe that the girl next to her was all she had left. The presence of her girlfriend on her right side wasn’t big enough to fill the void in her heart. Years of togetherness have finally come to an end in her life and nothing could make her feel better.

She thought and thought about how things were now and the fact that life was moving on even though she wasn't ready. Maybe it was now time for her to grow up without the other pillars beside her. Her family figures were now moving on to do big things and at this instant she only had one pillar left. Hyoyeon, her mom wouldn't be there to listen to all her problems or cook for her seemingly always empty stomach anymore. Taeyeon, her dad, wouldn’t be there to give her money when she wanted to buy food or kill the bugs in her room. Sunny, her older sister, wouldn't be there to mess with her or give her advice about boys, or in her case, girls.

An arm adjusted itself on her abs and a low growl came from her stomach. She was hungry, very hungry. All the thinking exhausted her stomach. Her eyes fluttered open and habitually looked at the clock on her bedside night stand. She groaned as she had nothing to wake up to. The warming smell of breakfast- sometimes lunch- that filled her senses was amiss and that was enough for her to cry a little more inside.

“Fany~” She nudged her girlfriend awake.

“What Sooyoung?” Tiffany was not pleased.

“Make me breakfast.” The hungry girl continued to shake the latter’s shoulder.

“I don’t know how to cook, Youngie.” She was annoyed to say the least. Her body turned away from her girlfriend and resumed sleep.

“Anything please? I’m hungry. Your giraffe is hungry.” Her aegyo was coming out.

“Your girlfriend is sleepy.” Tiffany replied apathetically.

“Ppannyyy~ Please?!” Sooyoung bear hugged her from the back.

“I didn’t sign up for this when I said I would move in with you.” She whimpered.

"Please, babe?" She begged a little more. "Just for today? I'll figure out what to do after."

Tiffany groaned inside. A huff escaped her tired lips and opened her eyes. It was hard for her to resist the cringe worthy and albeit, annoying aegyo from her girlfriend so early in the morning. It wasn't that early but she went to bed at 3am after finishing up unpacking her things the night before. The hour hand barely passed eleven o'clock and she threw the covers off of her body. So much for sleeping in.

"You get what I make. No complaints." Tiffany spoke as she slipped her feet into her slippers at the foot of her bed.

"I love you!" Sooyoung crawled over to her side and planted a small kiss on her cheek before she walked out of the room.

"Wow." Only a small word left .

"You could say that again." The latter spoke in the same amazement.

               "Wow."

"Really, Tae?" She rolled her eyes.

"You told me to say it again." Taeyeon shrugged.

"That was a figure of speech, babe." Sunny rolled her eyes. "But this place is huge." She wrapped her arms around Taeyeon's waist.

"Tell me about it. How are two people going to occupy all this?" Taeyeon slid her right arm around Sunny's shoulders.

"Iunno. It didn't look this big when we came to look last time. Then again it had furniture when we checked it out." Sunny rested her head on Taeyeon's shoulder as they looked at their empty living room. "You think it's going to be different without the kids running around?" She chuckled.

"Definitely." Taeyeon rested her head on top of Sunny's. "Speaking of kids, did you call Jessica yet?"

"Oops! I'll do that right now."

Sunny reached for her phone in her back pocket and dialed Jessica's number. Her legs took her towards the glass door that led to the balcony outside as Taeyeon decided to walk around the apartment. Though she ideally wanted a house and backyard to wonder around on, this particular home called out to her. It kept tell her to fill it with love. Though its calling made it to her mind, the breath taking view off the balcony in their room made it to her heart. It wasn't rainbows and daisies outside but bustling streets and busy people instead. Living on the 14th floor did have its ups. Seeing everything down there reminded her that life goes on and doesn't stop for anyone. The people won't stop walking towards their destination just because of the rain. Cars won't stop driving just because of the snow. And Mother Nature won't heed to everyone's wishes.

Taeyeon rested her palms on the chilling metal rail along the balcony and took a deep breath in with closed eyes. "And yet, a new chapter begins."

"What are you gunna call this one?" Sunny stood next to her.

"I don't know yet." Taeyeon simply shrugged. "When I think of one, I'll tell you."

"I look forward to hearing it." She chuckled a little.

"How did the call go?" She turned her body towards Sunny and leaned on the rail.

"Hyo picked up. Sica was still sleeping." Sunny giggled. "I just told her to wake the girl up and give her the phone. Long story short they'll be here in about an hour."

"Should we bring up the rest of the boxes then?"

"I'm tired. That was a long drive Taeyeonniee." Sunny whined.

"You're not the one that drove, babe." Taeyeon pushed her out of their empty room and out the door. "Now let's bring the rest of the boxes up. You can relax once Hyo get's here."

               "But, But-"

Taeyeon cut her off with a quick peck on the lips. "No buts."

"Fine." Sunny dejectedly entered the elevator and pressed the basement floor.

"You won't be resting for long, now that we have our own place." She smiled inside.

"What are you up to byuntae?" Sunny's eyes squinted into skeptical slits when looking at her girlfriend.

"I'll make sure all you see the next few days are stars." She grinned a devious and naughty smile.

Feet were blazing through the studio and Hyoyeon stood there amazed and quite honestly, confused. What in the world would cause her girlfriend to actually run? That meant both feet were above the ground at one point. Jessica was running to and fro and all around Hyoyeon's studio apartment grabbing things left and right until she finally stood in front of her dumbfounded girlfriend, smiling.

"How are you not sweating?" Hyoyeon questioned her. "You've been like that for the past 10 minutes."

"I never sweat." Jessica proclaimed proudly.

"I beg to differ." She chuckled at her false claim.

"Oh yeah, when have I then? I don’t even sweat after my musicals!"

"When I make you reach your crescendo after only the first round." Hyoyeon smiled cunningly.

"Whatever, we're going to be late." Jessica grabbed Hyoyeon's wrist and ushered them out as quickly as possible.

Hyoyeon could only laugh at her girlfriend's embarrassment. She mentally patted herself on the back for have such great stamina from her previous occupation and her earlier days of taekwondo. Her lover could never win over her.

They reached Hyoyeon's car and Jessica grabbed the keys from Hyoyeon's hand and sat in the driver seat. The latter only rolled her eyes from the lack of information the Ice princess provided. What exactly is she in for and where is her girlfriend taking her? She obediently sat passenger side seat and waited until Jessica was done adjusting the mirrors and seating. She mentally cursed herself that she'd have to fix them again when they got back.

Jessica didn't say much on the drive there so Hyoyeon leaned back and enjoyed the serenity. Her eyes glanced around their city and the buildings on each side. Just when she could get lost in the scenery and forget time, the car stopped at a parking spot on the side of the road. Her door opened and her seatbelt was unbuckled by her impatient girlfriend. She got out of the door quickly not wanting to disappoint her further. Hyoyeon figured questions could be answered later as Jessica led her into a tall, modern apartment with what seemed to be 15 floors.

"Can you tell me why we're in this building?" Hyoyeon finally broke the ice.

"You'll see very soon." Jessica pecked the latter's cheek and smiled brightly.

Hyoyeon could only sigh. "You're not taking me to a serial killer are you?"

She looked at her with a lifted eyebrow and replied in sarcasm. "Yes, because I want the love of my life to die today."

"Well I would have gladly jumped off my own apartment structure if you wanted that. Dying by someone else's hands is creepy." She playfully shivered.

"Choding." Jessica punched her on the shoulder as the elevator door opened to the 14th floor. "Let's go."

Jessica's hand intertwined with Hyoyeon's again as she led her towards apartment number 1409. After a turn and a few steps, Jessica knocked on the appropriate door while Hyoyeon stuffed her hands into her hoodie pockets, completely clueless.

A black haired girl opened the door and greeted the two with a bright smile. "Hey guys! You're earlier than I thought."

"Tae?!" Hyoyeon was still stunned to see her sister in front of her after being away from her for the past 2 months.

"What? You've never seen your sister with black hair before?" Taeyeon teased as Jessica walked into the apartment.

"Not that idiot. What are you doing here?!" Hyoyeon embraced the slightly shorter girl in a warm hug.

"I live here now, obviously." She spoke and pulled the latter into the apartment. "Sunny! Hyoyeon's here!"

Sunny came from the bedroom and ran into Hyoyeon's arms as soon as she caught sight of her familiar blond hair. "Hyoyeonniee!"

"Ooof!" Hyoyeon was taken aback from the shortie's sudden force. "Hey, Bunny! You let your hair grow out! I like the new color. How's your head feeling?"

"I feel great! Good as new!" She chirped.

"Hey! Where's my hair compliment?!" Taeyeon pouted.

"I'm not feeling the bangs. There's your compliment." Hyoyeon teased as she looked around the still empty living room. "When'd you guys move in? Seems recent."

"We just got here today." Sunny replied. "Check out our balcony view!" She led the blonde to the balcony.

"Wow. It's pretty amazing. I could see everything from here!" Hyoyeon exaggerated and spread her arms out. "Sica, you should come see this!"

"I'll pass." Jessica brushed the suggestion off and went to check out the bedroom.

"It's not even that high, baby." Hyoyeon followed her into the bedroom. "Look! They even have a view from their bedroom!"

"You know I'm afraid of heights, Hyoraengi!" She complained.

"It's not that bad. I promise." She took Jessica's hand and guided her towards the balcony.

Jessica was nervous and clung onto Hyoyeon's arm for dear life. She took some courage and peaked over the balcony. Tingles zipped through her spine and she instantly drew back.

"Yup, nice view. Not looking down again." She quickly spoke and ran back into the kitchen.

Hyoyeon laughed and went back to the living room as well. "What do you need help with, Sis?" She asked as she pushed up her sleeves.

"You and I are going to get the furniture from the moving truck downstairs. Sunny and I already brought up the small stuff. Sica and Sunny will deal with those." Taeyeon explained.

               "Alright, sounds like a plan!"

The two sisters walked into the elevator and pressed the basement button. Hyoyeon wasn't feeling much of anything and she was still processing the fact that her sister is now only a few miles away from her. If she remembered correctly it only took 15 minutes for her to arrive. She was happy, she was ecstatic, but what would happen to her tall friend

Chapter 50: WHY IS THIS SO GOOD? I know why, because you are an amazing writer who only gets better with each chapter and your progression of the story was very much more believable than most stories in which "they got together after first sight". You developed the characters and gave them their flaws and their strengths and how that translated into the story was amazing. It looks like Punch could be an entire spinoff/sequel story on its own, but I feel content with you not doing a sequel and that's a good thing. Its one thing to leave your readers wanting more, but to do that AND make them feel content without more is a weird paradox you accomplished. Your writing style is not the most sophisticated or fancy, but its one that allows for many readers to enjoy simply, but has enough complexity to make it leave no questions unanswered. I loved this story and can't wait to read more from you
