I UPDATED! WHAT IS THIS MADNESS?!

"Sunny what are you doing?!" I screamed after her. I couldn't believe the sight before my eyes. That shorty dove right into them! I ran as fast as I could to grab her out of the battle ring but my nonathletic legs could only take me there so fast. Curse you legs. What a waste of length. No wonder the basketball team had such a hard time walking away from begging for you.

"SUNNY WATCH OUT!" My mind was a mess. My heart fell and tears accompanied its sadness. I ran even faster and grabbed her from the ground but it was already too late. Two heavy blows to the head already took her consciousness away. I looked at the other two with much disappointment but it seemed as if it was a waste. Their knees fell to the ground. Taeyeon looked at her legs in disgust as Hyoyeon stared at her hands in repulsion.

Mother Nature seemed to understand our plea and join us in our sadness as her tears fell on our sullen hearts. I looked down at Sunny and felt warmness on my right hand, soaked in blood.

"SUNNY. SUNNY? SUNNY?! WAKE UP SUNNY! PLEASE WAKE UP!!" My tears fell down in waterfalls. "YAH! COME BACK TO YOUR SENSES AND CALL 119!" I punched Taeyeon on her shoulder.

"What have I done…" Taeyeon looked at her in fear and desperation.

"STARING AT HER ISN'T GOING TO HEAL HER!" My fist landed on her right cheekbone.

                "Youngie! Youngie!! Sooyoung!! YAHHH!"

"SUNNY!! NOOOO!!" Sooyoung's body sat itself up in a flash of an eye as sweat fell from her creased forehead.

"Sunny what?" The shorter girl looked at her with furrowed eyebrows.

"N-Nothing. I had a dream Sunny took away my food because I didn't listen to her." She wiped the small amounts of perspiration formed on her sweaty forehead.

"You seriously need to stop dreaming about food. It's hurting our pockets and our fridge is in depression from lack of use." The elder scolded with a nagging finger.

"Leave me be, danshin. I don’t even have time to eat these days." Sooyoung combed her fingers through her hair. "At least let me be happy in my dreams." She flung the blankets off her slender legs.

"What are you doing in my bed anyways?" Her arms crossed against her chest.

Sooyoung looked around a bit confused about that question. What AM I doing in here? Her eyes roamed around until they landed on the picture frame on the bedside table. Ahhh. That’s right. "Sunny. Anyways, what time is it?" She slid off the bed.

"A little after 5pm. Did you sleep all day?" Taeyeon looked at her a little bit in disbelief. "Must be that tired, huh?"

"Don't even get me started." She sighed. "Where's Sunny anyways?" She walked out the room down towards the living room hoping to find something for her itching mouth.

"Iunno. I just came home. I was about to ask you that." Her shoulders slumped slightly in disappointment while following her.

                "Clingy much?" Sooyoung teased.

"Not as much as your psycho girlfriend." Taeyeon scoffed a little while opening the empty fridge for an apple to appease her hungry giraffe.

"Not as psycho these days." She giggled playing along in her little joke. As much as she feels like she should slap the back of Taeyeon's head hard, there was some truth in those slightly discourteous words.

Taeyeon came around the island with a cutting board and a knife in hand while the apple rolled around, threatening to fall off the board any second. "That’s good to hear." She sat down beside her.

Sooyoung's right hand pounced on the delicious fruity object only to be slapped away by mother Taeyeon. She frowned and rubbed the back of her injured hand in her lap while mumbling what anyone could guess, sulky curse words. Taeyeon just scoffed once more and started skillfully peeling the apple with her fruit knife. After what seemed to be centuries for the shikshin, the apple was finally exposing its juicy glory. She smiled deviously at her prey and reached her hand for it again. Taeyeon's pale hand slapped it away another time.

"Ahh whhyyyyyyy!?! Just let me eat it already!!!" Sooyoung complained in agony.

"No! Small pieces!" Taeyeon started cutting the apple to ridiculously tiny sizes.

"WHY!!! It's all going to go in and out the same anyways!" The tall girl childishly stomped her feet on the wooden floor.

Just as Taeyeon was about to reason with the younger girl, the front door burst open to a small blonde with grocery bags in both hands. She looked at the two girls sitting in the living room and rolled her eyes at the sight. "Tae, stop torturing the Janshin and help me with these bags."

                "B-but.. it's fun…" Taeyeon got up frowning.

"Shush. Put these in the freezer." Sunny handed her a bag and left the rest on the floor next to the fridge.

Sooyoung grabbed the apple and happily munched on it after waiting so impatiently. A thought popped up into her brain and she quickly grabbed her phone to send a text message. Her eyes went to the kitchen and saw all the newly bought food. A smile grew across her face.

"Wipe that smile off your face, shikshin." Sunny scolded while stacking the drinks in the fridge.

                "B-but how'd you-"

"You do that every time." Taeyeon apathetically stated after closing the freezer.

"Whatever." She childishly responded. "Soonkyu, check your phone. You got a message." Sooyoung mentioned trying to change the subject.

"I didn't hear my ringer." Sunny lifted a brow up and looked at Sooyoung from the kitchen. "And how would you know from all the way over there?"

"Just check it." She smiled while hiding her gritting teeth and stared at her for a hint.

"Uhh, okay." She unlocked her phone to a message from Sooyoung.

[Sooyoung]: Tmrw. Noon. Oppa isn't charging.
                [Sunny]: Convenience store. Now.

Sooyoung got up from the couch and tossed the useless remains of her apple into the trashcan and headed for the door. "I'll be back, the psycho texted me. I guess it's urgent." She put her shoes on and quickly opened the door. "See you for dinner!" She went out the door and got on her bike. She didn't feel like walking down the street. After practically working out for 8 hours every day, walking is the last thing she wants to do.

"Clingy Fany as always." Taeyeon shook her head in slight disappointment while chuckling.

"Tae, I'm going to buy some more apples. Stupid shikshin ate it all." Sunny sighed.

"Actually… that was me." Taeyeon rubbed the back of her neck in embarrassment. "Woops?"

"I just bought some yesterday!" Sunny's knuckles met her forehead. "I wanted to eat them tonight."

"Sorry!" She apologized with her much not needed aegyo.

"It's okay. I'll just go buy some now. I'll be back. Start cooking dinner, yeah?" Sunny said while putting her shoes back on.

"Yes ma'am!" Taeyeon's right arm saluted and went straight to the rice cooker.

Sunny rolled her eyes and walked out of the door. The garage door opened and she grabbed her red scooter leaning on the wall and headed towards the store. Since the way there was downhill, she arrived in no time without much effort. She folded up her scooter and headed for the only section she would find target at, snacks.

"Yah! I just bought food!" Sunny slapped her hand from grabbing the bag of chips.

"What’s with everyone and slapping today!?" Sooyoung rubbed her hand once more.

"Anyways..." Sunny nagged to get the subject back on track.

"Oppa scheduled us as soon as he could so we can't miss it, okay?" She looked at her with the worry she had this morning.

"Alright. Let's just hope it's nothing serious." Her shoulders slumped as a frown formed across her face.

"How's your head been?" Sooyoung held both sides of her head with care while her thumbs soothingly massaged Sunny's temples.

"Honestly? Worse." A defeated sigh escaped her lips and her body succumbed to Sooyoung's.

"Don't worry." She held her gingerly. "It'll all end soon." Her head rested on Sunny's. "I'll make sure of it."

A smile replaced the sadness at the thought of the youngsters comforting words. "Thanks." Sunny left the arms of her long friend and smiled at her. "Ice cream?"

"Before dinner?" Sooyoung asked her in shock.

"It doesn't hurt to defy rules once in a while." Sunny shrugged.

"Fine by me!" Sooyoung grabbed Sunny's scooter from her hands and headed out the door. "BUT!" She suddenly stopped outside the store causing Sunny to run into her back. "If Tae finds out, you take responsibility." She turned and pointed a finger at the shorty.

"Alright, alright. Let's just go get some ice cream now!" Sunny grabbed Sooyoung's arm and dragged her to her own bike. She jumped on, strapped the helmet on waited. "Go!"

Sooyoung chuckled and got on. "Let's go!" She the engine and drove off towards their icy goodness.

The sun's heat started to grace upon them as the morning gradually disappeared. Hyoyeon slowly ascended their beloved steep hill towards her equally important tree. Due to the girl on her back she couldn’t expose her excitement by running all the way up there. She gently lowered herself on the ground eventually landing both their butts on the grass. Her legs brought her back up to sit beside her girlfriend. Jessica frowned. Unknowingly why, she didn't like the minimal distance there was. As if Hyoyeon could vanish at any moment, she crawled herself in front of her hand sat on her lap smiling.

"Couldn't even stand sitting next to me but on me?" Hyoyeon chuckled.

"Whatever. I'm just scared." She slapped the arms around her waist.

"Of what?" The blonde rested her chin on the latter's shoulder.

"You disappearing. You do that a lot nowadays." Jessica's head dropped in sadness and a frown appeared while her fingers nervously played with each other to coax the silence.

"Well, I can't really go anywhere with you sitting on me." Hyoyeon teased.

"Yah…" She lightly elbowed Hyoyeon's side from slight annoyance. "Why can't you be serious once in a while?" She said more to herself than to Hyoyeon.

"Alright. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Hmm?" She apologized and nudged Jessica's body with hers. "Hmm?" She nudged her again when she didn't hear a response.

"Mm." Jessica acknowledged her apology with a simple hum.

"I promise you after this week or two, I won't go anywhere. Okay?" Hyoyeon assured.

"We'll see…" She brought her head back up and looked into the distance.

"You have no faith in me, huh?" Hyoyeon frowned but it didn't do her any good since Jessica wouldn't be able to see it.

She didn't receive a reply but she knew it wasn't like that. It wasn't that Jessica didn't trust her but it was the situation they were in that Jessica couldn't trust. She took a big breath and decided to surface the reason why she brought her here in the first place. Her arms tightened their hold on her and brought Jessica closer to her, back touching her front.

"Brace yourself. This is going to be cheesy…" Hyoyeon warned. "…but, thank you."

"For?" Jessica turned her head to the side to be able to see Hyoyeon's face in her peripheral vision.

"For chasing me around for 9 months. For throwing away your pride for me. And for loving me." Hyoyeon smiled in gratitude.

"It wasn't easy but you're welcome."  Jessica smiled back at her.

                "And… I'm sorry."

                "Why?" Jessica furrowed her eyebrows.

"Because you chased me around, threw away your pride and loved me." Hyoyeon looked down and frowned a bit. She felt Jessica shift and knew she was about to respond but before she could, Hyoyeon continued. "But it's different now…" She turned her head to look at Jessica looking back at her with confused eyes. "…because now, I'll be the one to chase you aroun

Chapter 50: WHY IS THIS SO GOOD? I know why, because you are an amazing writer who only gets better with each chapter and your progression of the story was very much more believable than most stories in which "they got together after first sight". You developed the characters and gave them their flaws and their strengths and how that translated into the story was amazing. It looks like Punch could be an entire spinoff/sequel story on its own, but I feel content with you not doing a sequel and that's a good thing. Its one thing to leave your readers wanting more, but to do that AND make them feel content without more is a weird paradox you accomplished. Your writing style is not the most sophisticated or fancy, but its one that allows for many readers to enjoy simply, but has enough complexity to make it leave no questions unanswered. I loved this story and can't wait to read more from you
