EDITED

Jessica’s eyes widened as she saw Hyoyeon under her and her lips on top of hers. Secretly savoring this moment before she remembered what happened, she got up.

“Oh my god! Are you okay Hyo?” She sat next to the unconscious girl and shook her.

“What happened?!” Taeyeon yelled as she heard the fall.

“This dumb here broke my fall even though she’s beat up! Now she’s out cold!”

“Haha! That’s Hyoyeon for you! Always putting people before herself!”

Jessica blushed at Hyoyeon’s level of care for her despite how much she hates her.

“Stop laughing and help me get this girl up!”

“ME? Did you forget that I’m crippled?!”

“Fine!”

Jessica looked at Hyoyeon on the floor wondering how she’d be able to get this girl all the way upstairs. She wasn’t the most muscular girl in the world, just downright lazy but realizing that the girl must be in a lot of pain, she it up and helped her. She grabbed her arms on her back and struggled to get Hyoyeon’s legs around her waist. She took a deep breath and hoisted her up and piggybacked her to her room.

"Awhh, how sweet." Taeyeon said as Jessica walked by.

"Shush you danshin!"

She went up the stairs slowly, careful not to drop Hyoyeon to her death on the stairs. A few seconds and Jessica was able to successfully bring her into her room.  Surprisingly, she dropped Hyoyeon off of her back a little too roughly and the girl landed on the bed with a thud. Woops.

"Ughhhh. My head hurts." Hyoyeon stirred up from the pain.

"Sorry, Hyo." Jessica positioned her head on the pillow.

"Why do I always get hurt when I'm with you?!" Hyoyeon said angrily. "Why is there blood on my lips?" she touched .

"Uhhhh. You're lips broke my fall…" Jessica responded awkwardly.

"My good fortune disappears whenever you're near," she complained while wiping all traces of Jessica off her lips.

"I get it, I get it. I'll go away now…" she turned away.

"Wait!"

"What?" she turned back around.

"No sorry?" She scrunched her eyebrows.

"I thought those words didn't mean anything to you," she crossed her arms.

"Still nice to hear you try though," she smiled.

"I'm sorry. Happy now?"

"Nope, but you can go now."

"Aish!"

Jessica left the room with a sigh of relief. She wasn't as mad. That's a relief. How can this girl make me say those words so freely? AISHH STRESSS! Hyoyeon was laughing on the inside as she lay on her bed. Jessica went back downstairs to an empty living room. Where’d she go? Noticing that the girl isn’t there she shrugged and sat on the couch when she saw a note left by Taeyeon.

Be back soon. Order chicken for dinner.

~Tae

Seems like she was in a rush to go somewhere. Jessica put the hastily written note back down on the table. She shrugged again and turned the TV on.

Come on Sunny answer your phone! Taeyeon panicked and kept redialing her number. She drove franticly towards her restaurant ignoring yellow traffic lights and whizzing through stop signs. Five minutes passed and still no answer from her best friend. Her heart beat fast and her fingers fidgeted while she gripped her steering wheel with frustration. Her mind went through countless possibilities as to what could be wrong with her.

“Hello?”

“Taeyeon!”

“Hey! What’s with the sudden shout?”She laughed.

“Listen there’s something I need to tell you." Sunny said quickly.

“Shoot! Ears are wide open!”

“I might not be able to—“

“Sunny?” Taeyeon said with confusion. “Sunny?!”

The line went dead because Taeyeon could hear someone take Sunny’s phone away forcefully.

Taeyeon arrived at the restaurant and ran through the doors like the pain she felt through her body magically vanished. It was closing time and there was still a worker wiping the tables clean for tomorrow’s customers. She quickly went up to him.

“Oh hey boss!” he bowed.

“Where’s Sunny?!” she said with bewildered eyes.

“Uhh she left an hour ago” he looked at her concerned.

“You know where she went?!”

“No, not really but I overheard her talking about going to a club just a few blocks away this afternoon. Is there something wrong?”

“I’ll tell you later! Thanks! Remember to lock up!”

Taeyeon bolted out the door and ran into her car. She pushed the hand break down and slammed her foot on the pedal sending her car screeching forward. The numerous thoughts she head when she got into her car before had doubled hearing the word “club”. After five minutes of driving sixty miles an hour on a thirty-five mph street, she reached her destination and once again, ran for h

Chapter 50: WHY IS THIS SO GOOD? I know why, because you are an amazing writer who only gets better with each chapter and your progression of the story was very much more believable than most stories in which "they got together after first sight". You developed the characters and gave them their flaws and their strengths and how that translated into the story was amazing. It looks like Punch could be an entire spinoff/sequel story on its own, but I feel content with you not doing a sequel and that's a good thing. Its one thing to leave your readers wanting more, but to do that AND make them feel content without more is a weird paradox you accomplished. Your writing style is not the most sophisticated or fancy, but its one that allows for many readers to enjoy simply, but has enough complexity to make it leave no questions unanswered. I loved this story and can't wait to read more from you
