             “The tiger is out.”

Sooyoung silently took small steps back to her pot and gently sat on her sofa somehow afraid of the tiger breaking out of its cage. She sunk into the seat trying to make herself as small as possible, disappearing if she could. Her hand reached for her phone on the table and quickly retracted back to its owner, cradling it as if it was her baby. She didn’t know why her body instantly became frightened at the sight of Hyoyeon acting like a predator hunting down its prey after weeks of starvation. She’s seen it many times before, but something inside of her never gave her the freedom to become accustomed to her dear friend. Was it because the sight of a different Hyoyeon reminded her of their high school years? Was it the same feelings of helplessness as she stood along the sidelines watching the scene unfold right in front of her like a helpless puppy without anywhere to go? Was it the same urge to bring Hyoyeon back to her senses and the failed attempts to do so? Her eyes traced the room to find the blond girl sitting next to her other dear friend when guilt suddenly sprung throughout her body.

“Come on, Sunny. Let’s go home.” I pulled her arm towards our home. She looked back at the other two and ran back to them. “Yah! Sunny! What are you doing?!” I yelled after her. “Sunny!!” I ran back for her. “SUNNY WATCH OUTT!!”

             “Yah!” Taeyeon yelled at her.

             “Huh? What?” Sooyoung responded.

             “Your phone has been ringing!”

“H-huh?” She looked down in her hands and her phone was ringing. “Oh.” She swiped the screen and answered. “Ppany!”

“Hello. I’m sorry this isn’t her. Are you Choi Sooyoung?” A male voice answered.

“Yes. And who are you?” A hint of annoyance flowed through her voice.

“Oh sorry. I’m a bartender. Your friend is with another girl and it seems like they need some help getting home. I called you because it was number 1 on her speed dial.” He explained.

“Okay. I’ll be there in a few, please keep an eye on them for me.” She got up from the couch.

“Yes ma’am.” She hung up and headed for the stairs when Taeyeon spoke.

             “What was that?” Taeyeon questioned.

“Fany got drunk with a friend. I gotta go pick her up from the bar.” Sooyoung sighed.

“Drunk? Well that’s new. Must be really stressed. How has she been these past days?” Sunny asked.

             “I don’t know.” A frown formed on Sooyoung’s lips.

“You should probably go find out then.” Sunny chuckled.

“Yeah. I’ll see you guys later.” Sooyoung grabbed her wallet and keys before heading out the door. A deep sigh escaped her tired throat. She hasn’t gotten much rest since Hyoyeon left. She was still surprised at how Hyoyeon could look so jolly and happy all the time with this much responsibility that came along with the studio. Dealing with the studio needs and Tae Entertainment’s trainees were only half of her problems. Though she embraces her passion for dance, it will never surpass her elder’s. She still can’t find the same love Hyoyeon has to keep a smile on her face after teaching for 8 straight hours. Minyoung helps her with a lot and lightens up the mood but the same feeling of exhaustion still lingers within her after she’s gone.

The appointed bar came into sight and she parked her bike next to the curb. She took off her helmet and proceeded into the raging club. Music pounded into her ears as she felt the bass vibrate throughout her body. Her eyes searched for her girlfriend at the glass bar while maneuvering through the countless amounts of alcohol induced people. It didn’t take her long when she found a taller woman draped across her girlfriend’s body, arms around her waist. Steam was coming out of Sooyoung’s ears at the sight. Her long legs stomped over towards Tiffany as her right arm flung the touchy woman off of her girl.

“What the hell?!” The other girl exclaimed.

“Yuri?!” Sooyoung angrily questioned when she noticed a familiar face under the girl’s voluptuous hair.

“Youngie!! It’s... not whaaatt chuuu thinnkin’ babe~” Tiffany slurred.

“What do you mean, Tiff? We’re having a GREATTT timeee!!” Yuri attempted to talk as her head hit the counter with a loud thud.

“Shushhh, Yull! You’re makin’ ma girlfriend maaaaaad.” Tiffany silenced the other drunken girl with her index finger on Yuri’s mouth.

Sooyoung was beyond mad. On top of the over bearing stress the studio has put upon her, she was now witnessing her own girlfriend being overly friendly with the girl she never favored. She was tired of everything, of all the drama in her life and the unhappy days she has been experiencing lately. She grabbed TIffany’s arm and decided to voice her anger. Whether Tiffany was going to remember this night or not, it didn’t matter anymore. She has had enough.

“Tiffany what the are you doing?!” She forced the other to look at her.

“Eeyyyyy! Easy Sooyoung!” Yuri tried to pull her back.

“You stay the out of this!” She glared at the tanned girl.

“I’m having fun can’t you see?!” Tiffany pouted as her eyes were closing.

“This is what you call fun?!”

“WELL WHAT ELSE IS THERE! I’M STRESS! I WAN TOO LET GOOOO~” Her voice rose.

“Well why didn’t you call me to accompany you then?! Instead of calling her!!” She pointed her finger accusingly at Yuri.

“Me?” Yuri suddenly sat up and pointed at herself clueless. “What about me?”

“I DID! YOU DIDN PICK UUUPPA!” A fist landed on Sooyoung’s right shoulder.“You’ve been too busy lately! Don’t blame her! Blame yourself! I barely get to see you anymore!!” Tears began to form at the bridge of her eyes.

“I’m sorry! Why didn’t you tell me then?!” Sooyoung’s voice weakened. “I would’ve made time for you...”

             “I didn’t... I didn’t want to b-bother you.” Tiffany’s words were slowly taking form.

“Well you should have! Instead of going out with her!”

“So now it’s all my fault now?!” Her feet met the ground as she stood up with fists beside her hips.

             “Yes!” Sooyoung was being stubborn.

             She k

Chapter 50: WHY IS THIS SO GOOD? I know why, because you are an amazing writer who only gets better with each chapter and your progression of the story was very much more believable than most stories in which "they got together after first sight". You developed the characters and gave them their flaws and their strengths and how that translated into the story was amazing. It looks like Punch could be an entire spinoff/sequel story on its own, but I feel content with you not doing a sequel and that's a good thing. Its one thing to leave your readers wanting more, but to do that AND make them feel content without more is a weird paradox you accomplished. Your writing style is not the most sophisticated or fancy, but its one that allows for many readers to enjoy simply, but has enough complexity to make it leave no questions unanswered. I loved this story and can't wait to read more from you
