The 16 year old walked towards the playground tired and sleepy. He was hungry and starving to death. He used up all his money that he had left on food yesterday.

He couldn’t go to any of his friend’s house because their parents had connection with his dad.

Jaejoong laid on the long bench and looked up the orange sky. He held the dog tag necklace his sister gave to him in his palm. Jaejoong eyes started to get heavy. He wanted to fight it. He had to fight it. He couldn’t sleep in an open space like this.

But.

He couldn’t do it. He lost to his fatigue and slumped into his dreams. He didn’t know how long he slept, but the time he woke up it was pitch black outside.

The weird thing was.

There was a thin blanket on him.

“Did you have a good nap?”

Jaejoong shot up from the bench.

“Don’t worry, I won’t hurt you,” An old lady in her late thirties said coming out of the shadow.

 Jaejoong calmed down a little but still kept his guards up.

“Why are you sleeping on the bench?” The lady asked.

Jaejoong shook his head. “I just fell asleep that’s all I’m going home now,” Jaejoong lied. Jaejoong started to walk a different direction from the lady.

The lady sensed his lies and confronted him. “You don’t have to lie.”

Jaejoong didn’t know why, but that stopped him. He stopped in his tracks.

“If you don’t have a home, come with me to my orphanage house,” The lady said.

Jaejoong shook his head. “You’re welcome to come anytime you want. If you keep walking down this street you’ll see the orphanage,” The lady said before she left.

Jaejoong watched as she walked away. He faced the way he was walking and walked off.

He started to walk around the night skies of Seoul. He took a turn and bumped into a man dressed in all black.

“Watch where you’re going punk,” the man sneered.

“Watch where you’re going,” Jaejoong sneered.

“Are you trying to catch a fight with me?” The man sneered.

The man pushed Jaejoong. Jaejoong instant reflexes punched the man in the face. They started to throw fist punches at each other. Soon, the man backup came and jumped in the fight.

Jaejoong cussed and started to run.

He didn’t know why but he ran back towards the direction of the orphanage.  He took a turn that lost the gang. He continued to run down the dark alley towards the orphanage.

He found the orphanage building and ran towards the door. He kept knocking on it repentantly. The lady from earlier opened the door and found Jaejoong bloody. He had cuts on his arms, chest, and face.

The lady found men behind him searching. She quickly let him in and shut the door.

“Go upstairs and the first door on the right is a bathroom. Go clean up I have it from here,” The lady spoke. Jaejoong kept looking at her worried.

“Just go, I promise I’ll be fine,” The lady said, strongly.

Jaejoong nodded and went to the direction the lady told him.

Later on, there were knocks on the door.

The lady opened it and found the gangs that were looking for Jaejoong earlier.

“I seen a teenage boy running in here earlier, where is he?” A grungy man asked. “This is an orphanage not a fighting arena,” The lady spoke, strongly.

 “Just let me look,” The man said.

“No this is a house full of kids I don’t need any violent going through here. So leave or I will call the police,” The lady said before shutting the door.

She grabbed a pair of sweats and a tshirt out of a cabinet and headed upstairs. She knocked on the bathroom door and found Jaejoong cleaning the blood off his body.

She handed him the clothes and sighed.

“How would you like to stay here?”

And that was the question that changed Jaejoong life. He was moved to a orphanage in China and that was where he met Junsu, and Yoochun.

They were also orphan kids. The three of them were adopted by rich people and started their new life.
