The Kingdom of Ordea, the great realm of Athosia as it was 500 years before our present time, was prosperous and flourishing. The people of Ordea were entering a new era of innovation and peace. But they were slowly being put under a deep illusion of lies. A master of hexes and dark magic, one called the Shade, gained control over one-third of the people of Ordea. He told them of a future with him as ruler, a future with great wealth and power. He said his rule would bring order to not only Ordea, but to all the realms of Athosia. His words were sweet and tempting. They made people completely surrender their powers and core energy to the Shade; abilities that he gladly absorbed from their bodies. In exchange for their powers he gave them other abilities, which corrupted the people's hearts, twisted their minds, and darkened their souls. This exchange was so intense that even their outward appearances were affected. They turned into a new breed of people, people who put their full allegiance to the Shade. They became known as Skrill. Using his dark magic, the Shade resurrected many dark beings of Athosia that were exiled in past eras, such as Shadow Sweepers and the Clan of Thorem. With these creatures
