Sohee~

I slowly opened my eyes and tried to take in my surroundings. It was dark. It was raining.

“Sohee?! Sohee! Are you awake?!” a familiar voice demanded. My eyes struggled to see who it was, and I finally realized it was my older brother, Yongguk. He looked panicked and shaken, something unusual for him.

“… Oppa…” my voice rasped. “Where’s… Mom…”

There were tears in Yongguk’s eyes. Or was it just the rain? It was raining so awfully hard…

He pulled out something small out of his pocket.

“Sohee, I’m sorry. I have to leave you by yourself for a while. I… I have to… Wipe out your memories… I’m so sorry. But this’ll keep you safe, I promise,” Yongguk said softly. He struggled with a small, glass vial, then poured the contents into my mouth.

The liquid burned my tongue, but Yongguk’s hand was clamped over my mouth. But as the liquid slipped down my throat, my body began going numb, and a dense cloud began forming in my vision. Slowly, I slipped back into darkness.
