Description
To Ari, Zelo was always off limits for her. Liking him meant she would be crossing a line not to be crossed.
But to Zelo, rules were meant to be broken. After all, nothing about love is supposed to go right.
lol...... can't believe I'm adding a new story. oh well. yayyyy. I plan on this story being relatively short, and hopefully, things will go as planned... also.. I need to cover a longer time frame than I usually do in stories so it might be a little... choppy/awkward. bear with me folks.
Foreword
Zelo pressed something into my hand. I held up my hand to see a ring sitting on my palm.
“Zelo…” I started, trying to hand it back to him. “Zelo, we’re over. Please don’t make this any harder than it has to be…”
“Well, we’re still friends, right?” Zelo said harshly, a tone rarely heard from him. He softened his voice, “It’s just something… to remind you of me for the next two years. And a promise. A promise that you’ll be seeing me in two years.”
I sighed and dropped my hand, curling my fingers around the ring. I knew there was no way to fight his stubbornness.
“And… there’s another meaning,” Zelo said, a tint of his usual playfulness in his voice.
I raised an eyebrow, curious.
“What do they call them…? Purity rings?” Zelo said, the corners of his lips curling up into a grin. “It means you better save yourself… for me.”
As Zelo’s meaning sunk in, he winked at me and starting backing up, heading for the exit.
“I’ll see you in two years, Ari,” he called out before disappearing into the crowd.
