▬ Chapter 8: A Moment to Remember ▬

School was through for the day so I headed towards the auditorium in the Piano majors building. Once I entered, there was a grand piano in the middle of the stage.

“Wow. This is the huge.” I traced the keys with my fingers as I went up the stage, admiring the grand piano. “Let’s see.”

I placed my bag beside the piano and took out the music sheets that I had found late last night. I placed the sheets on the ledge and adjusted myself to the most comfortable position.

“It’s been a while. I hope my fingers still know how to play this song.” With those last words, I began to play the piano and sing to how I remembered the lyrics.

I love you. I’m sorry

But I can’t do this anymore

I don’t even have the right to get close to you

Don’t love me

I don’t have the ease of being able to give you my heart

I live each day beyond my strength

Each day is too much so I cry

While I was playing, I heard a noise backstage, causing me to jolt and stop playing. 

“Is someone there?”

I slowly crept towards the back and found someone sleeping with a fedora covering his face and his head rested on a guitar case. He’s going to catch a cold if he just sleeps here. I should call someone. I was about to walk out when his voice echoed the room.

“Hey.” He removed his fedora, revealing his face.

“Oh. You’re awake.” I stared at his face. He’s kinda cute.

“Of course, and who do you think should I blame, creating that much noise when someone’s sleeping?” He blankly looked at me.

“S-sorry.” I meekly smiled.

 “Never mind. What’s your name?”

“Annhee. Kim Annhee.”

The guy just stared at me as I said my name. “Annhee...”

“What’s your name?”

“Kim… Myung… Soo…” He responded with his eyes still looking at me.

“What’s your name?” I scratched my head and slowly got up.

“Annhee. Kim Annhee.”

“Annhee…” I thought for a moment. Sunggyu hyung’s sister?

“What’s your name?”

“Kim... Myung… Soo…” My mouth automatically responded. She’s his sister?
