Beach Parties and Mao's Big Booty

Third Time's The Charm
Dedicated to Christine.

She got me through this chapter anyhoo.

10:00 PM

“Matsumoto-san! Back so quickly?” Rosa said and Jun shrugged as he entered the club. Rosa gave him an approving smile and looked at Natsuki who was in turquoise blue today looking even more stunning than last night if possible.

Which would probably explain why she was absolutely flocked at the moment. Jun could swear in the five minutes he’d been here he’d seen her run to at least five customers here.

“I figure I’m in for a wait.”

“Or while you wait we maybe able to assign you another hostess?” Rosa opted and Jun looked at her and immediately shook her head.

“I’m loyal to Natsuki.”

“What a nice customer.” A voice observed from the back and Jun recognized it as the man who had reprimanded the waiter who was obviously in love with Natsuki yesterday. Even now as the two of them raced around the room Jun could almost see the way that time slowed down for him every time she even remotely brushed by him.

“Shota! You made Aki late again didn’t you?” Rosa said from behind him regarding the girl who was fixing her hair up in a straight ponytail. Jun squinted his eyes and took a closer look at her as she pinned up her hair in a small mirror hoping none of the customers were looking.

Feeling someone’s gaze on her Aki turned around a little apprehensively to see a beautiful almost girl like face staring back at her. It seemed so familiar.

“It wasn’t my fault neh Aki?” Shota said nudging Aki in the hip who was clearly not getting the message as she neared Jun’s own face and the two stared at each other quite intently for a minute or so.

Shota and Rosa exchanged mirroring looks of confusion as they stared at the two. Today Aki was wearing a pale pink with crazy diamonds shining off her ears dangling in a delicate manner. She looked almost purely nymph like.

“ I know you.”

“Back at you.”

“You can’t recognize me?”

“Back at you.” They exchanged stoically and then turned away from each other pausing to look back at each other at odd intervals trying to figure out who exactly it was that was beside them. To look so familiar and so unfamiliar at the same time. Aki and Jun had not come across this before.

“Aki-chan. If possible could you be Natsuki-chan’s help for today.” Aki resisted the urge to roll her eyes. Why was it she was always stuck being the help hostess even though it had been ages since she’d really been assigned as one.

“Hai Rosa-sama,” A demure, positively breath taking smile came on to her face and she couldn’t help but feel elated at the pride on Rosa’s face. Shota gave her a victory wink.

He’d been giving her pointers on how to make Rosa happier with her so she could get bigger paycheques in the future.
Except she wasn’t really being directed anywhere. Rosa finally realized that Aki had no idea that the man beside her was Natsuki’s customer.

“I’m not having such a dumb woman keep me company. I get enough of that every ing night in my room.” Jun said understanding the situation and Rosa’s eyes widened at the insult but quickly understood that Jun was probably just this straightforward on a normal basis.

“Wakat-“

“Wait wait...did you call me dumb?”

“Why yes...Dumb and Slow...definitely not a winner are you?” He lifted her face in his hands and examined it.

“Not too much of a looker either. Poor girl, one can only think of how you got into such a business.” He said enjoying the small look of frustration on her face as he raked his eyes over her body. She felt violated, the vein in her forehead looked as if it was about to burst with anger and Jun found himself reveling in this reaction that was so similar to his Mao’s.

why did he insist on thinking things like this? She was never his. She would never be his. Considering especially the fact that more people than ever knew he was he and she still thought he was a she.

“Oi who do you think you’re talking to anyways? If my boyfriend knew-“

“Aki, we never mention our personal relationships in front of customers. It is a rule I apply most strictly and anyways I thought the two of you had ended your relationship recently.” Rosa interjected and Shota looked at her in shock as if he was appalled that his favourite worker hadn’t told him something about her private life.

“You and Hiro-kun broke up? Good he looked like a good for nothing.” Shota was happy. He had never liked Hiro.

“He’s going to be the prime minister of Japan one day.” Aki defended him and Shota grinned widely.

“What’d I say? A good for nothing.” Jun burst out laughing and patted Shota on the back.

“Mama-san you picked a nice man eh? He’s quite funny.” Rosa grinned widely and let her hand sneak behind her own body to interlace her fingers with Shota’s.

“I’m yours...until Natsuki shows up.” Jun couldn’t resist it. The girl was proving herself to be more interesting as time went on, maybe it was just the fact she resembled Mao so much.

God. It was stupid how much he was missing that girls company. The more time he spent away from her the more he missed his new best friend.

“Absolutely not. I have some standards to kee-“ Aki would have continued on but the look on Rosa’s face clearly told her that if she did she’d be out of a job. So she clenched her words and gave him her most tight-lipped smile.

“Dozo.” She pointed ahead to the room and the walked towards an empty booth letting Jun in first before seating herself directly opposite him. She could see through the deliberate crack in between the booths that Natsuki was glancing at her out of the corner of her eye.

Like she had a reason to be worried. Aki would usually try and steal her customer out of spite but this one was so bloody loyal.

“What do you want?” She asked as nicely as possible but it came out looking quite the bit constipated.

“I want whatever’s cheapest so that when Natsuki comes I can up her sales.” Jun said obviously and Aki furrowed her brow at him. Never before had she seen such a rude customer really. And cheap too!

“Well since you’ve already designated her as your host every moment you spend with another hostess is going to be upping her sales anyways.” Aki said obviously and then lifted up her hand to see Nakamaru come over and grin at her. He was a sweet guy. She nodded back.

“Can I order a plate of fruit?” Aki asked and Jun rolled his eyes and nodded as he leant back into the booth.

Nakamaru glared at him for a second and Jun ignored him as usual. He was far too important to pay attention to the lower workers.

“So what makes you a hostess then? You don’t look like you’re even out of high school.”

“Back at you.” She bit back and saw Rosa glance at her tone and she quickly bowed her head down apologetically and Jun shrugged. What were two high school kids like themselves doing in such an atmosphere. For that matter why did Jin practically work here? How had they gotten themselves so involved in a life meant for much later than now?

“I really don’t care about the catty tone don’t worry. I’m used to this I get it everyday.” Jun said and Aki breathed a small sigh. It would have been major trouble for her from Rosa, Jin, Shota and Natsuki if she lost a customer.

Yet again.

“Well who does that to you? No one should have to deal with harsh comments everyday.” Jun looked at her as if she was a bit off. He wasn’t really sure if he should answer her or not. He glanced around the room for his straight haired gorgeous beauty but she was still running about. She caught his eye and beamed at him and nodded as if saying she would be there in just a moment.

Yeah his little stress ball would get to hear everything but in the mean time he could let this other girl hear a bit of his life too. “Well I’m basically just rooming with this girl who’s really annoying. Kind of like you.” Jun watched the girl struggle to not bite his head off for such a comment.

Wow she was a bad hostess; her fake smile actually looked fake as she squeezed her hands together and commented back.

“Oh that’s pretty bad.”

“Yes but I kind of love her not like the love of my life but still...I’m pretty sure it’s there. Feelings and .”

“Then why would it be annoying?” Aki didn’t understand this boy. He was stupid obviously. Why would he think she was annoying if he loved her? Did he even know what love felt like?

Jun on the other hand felt the same way about this girl. She might as well have been a carbon copy of the object of his infuriation. This one was just as dumb as Mao.

“It because she doesn’t notice anything, has a boyfriend, and wants me to go lingerie shopping with her.” Aki’s eyes widened and she backed away a little and Jun cracked a small smile. It felt like this situation was more familiar.

The backing away...the mocking glances it was all-

“Well as far as I know why would a girl want to take a guy out-“ Suddenly Aki’s eyes widened in realization as she covered with her hand delicately in such a manner that Jun was almost entranced by how graceful she’d been.

Jun mocked her back but of course his was barely as graceful.

“OKAMA!” She hissed and Jun furrowed his eyebrows in confusion and looked back at her as she shook her head.

“You’re the okama from before!” Jun still looked quite confused unable to really decipher the weird word.

“Yesterday you were in a store. You came in changed and left and in the mean time scared the crap out of a little store girl.” Aki at this word pointed to herself and Jun’s own eyes widened at the realization of who this girl was.

“You’re too pretty compared to that little plain thing.” Jun said honestly squinting his eyes and Aki couldn’t help the small smile that floated on her face. Nakamaru came and put down the plate softly excusing himself with a smile so wide he could have rivalled the kitty in Alice in Wonderland. Aki could practically hear the screams of joy emitting from the boy’s head that Jun wasn’t sitting with Natsuki and he’d taken an interest in her.

“I don’t know whether to take that as a compliment or an insult.” The honesty filtered through her words and Jun smiled widely. Aki had to admit there was something charming about the way he smiled. The slight lilt of his lips upwards and the way he looked at you out from under his lashes. It was true his smile reached not only his lips but also his eyes and his whole body seemed to change, even the manner in which he was present in front of her. The whole effect of it was quite pretty. “You should smile more often.” Jun looked at her oddly before shaking his head.
“And now we’re complimenting each other? What a strange manner of enmity. Though I have to admit. I like it a lot better coming from you.” He was flirting with her! Shamelessly! And he was in love with another girl! She glared at him.

“Well it just sort of came to that. I didn’t want to compliment you!” Aki insisted and Jun cracked a small smile. No matter whom it came from the small words meant something to him.

“Well- gomen ne Aki-chan if you were having a fun time with Jun but I’m here now.” Natsuki said from behind the two looking on at their exchange with disapproving eyes.
“Hai. Jun-sama. Excuse me.” She moved past him gliding easily. He couldn’t help but want her beside him more. Aki was exactly like Mao, hearing things like that come from made him imagine that if he was in front of Mao right now, she would say the same things to him and he could reply.

Exactly. As. He Wanted. To.

“Did you have fun with Aki?” Natsuki inquired as she picked on a pineapple piece that was on the tray.

“Are you jealous?” Jun asked turning his head away from Natsuki but keeping his gaze intently on fingers which placed the pineapple delicately in his mouth. He already knew what the answer would be. ‘OF COURSE NOT! I’m too good for you and I would never get jealous that easi-

“Yeah. I am.” She was so startlingly honest about how she felt so that Jun choked on his pineapple so much so that when it finally went down his throat he pressed the back of his hand against Natsuki’s cool forehead.

“What are you doing?” Natsuki asked grasping his hand in hers and putting it back on his lap and folded her hands into her own lap.

“Checking to see if you have a fever and you’re overworked. Because you’re quite obviously not making any sense.”

Natsuki offered him an innocent smile.

“I like you. Is that odd?”

“Quite yes. There has never been a girl who’s liked me yet. Well one I’ve actually talked to at least. Do you actually like me seriously?” He’d always had those confessions and the make out scenes afterwards but that was solely for his pleasure to believe that he still had it somewhere in him to get girls. He’d never had someone he seriously liked like him back, like Aya... and he couldn’t even consider Mao.

Because obviously. He didn’t like her. Or at least he would try not to love her.

His words were mixing themselves up so quickly he could hardly understand them himself.

“Is that so? I wasn’t expecting that from mister I’m so stifled in my girly features and I suppose yes. I do like you seriously.” She giggled laughing at her own not so funny joke. Jun grumbled as she quieted her own mirth and straightened up, clearing . “Gomen Jun-sama. Is there anything you’d like to talk about?”

“Yes.” He responded curtly.

“What would that be?”

“Mao’s pissing me off.” Jun said and Natsuki lifted her eyebrows.

“This doesn’t seem like one of those things I can help with. But nevertheless I shall listen if it helps you.” She grinned shifting slightly into a more relaxing position letting her shoulders fall slightly from the uncomfortable posture.

“She hasn’t yet noticed that her boyfriend is cheating on her.”

“And you’re sure of this fact?”

“Well he’s completely flirting with another girl.”

“Guys do that though there’s nothing to be worried about. Moments ago you were all over Aki. You’re wasting my time.”

“YOU’RE GETTING PAID! It’s not like you’re my friend or anything.” Jun was aggravated with Natsuki now who simply shrugged and raised her hand. Obviously in a moment Nakamaru was at her side, ready to throw the champagne glass in his hand on Jun’s face.

“Dom Peri please,” She said grinning widely at Jun who looked at her with murder in his eyes.

“OI! I can’t afford that stuff we just got out of a recession here! How am I supposed to put that on a company account when Obama’s not handing out money to corporations anymore?”

“You should have thought about that before. You’re complaining about your juvenile little problems. I left Oshioka-san there who just lost his job and came here for the last time to be with you. You came to talk about this? To be honest Jun I treat you normally. This is not me as a hostess and to be honest I don’t want you as a customer anymore. Not that I got to know you well in the first place but I honestly believe that you are someone I’m meant to be friends with. Not meant to baby, and treat like a master. I can’t treat you like you’re above me.” Natsuki took a breath, which she had refrained from during her entire speech. Jun looked at her in shock unable to really believe what she had said.

If he wasn’t going to reply that was fine. She’d leave first. “Arigato gozaimashta,” She stood up and extended her body in all of its length and perfection and Jun was once again awed by how gorgeous she was. Rosa really had an eye.
And so he sat, stumped by the girl who left him to drink his Dom Peri alone.

What had he thought? He could come here, pay for fawning? Have it be any different.

A minute or so must have passed while he was downing his sorrows in the expensive alcohol when the waiter he treated horribly came up to him.

“Natsuki thinks you’re worth being friends with. Don’t take that lightly. That means she really likes you, don’t you dare hurt her in any way. She’s one of the best women in the world. Trust me I know.” With that he dropped a piece of paper in Jun’s lap and walked away with such confidence and stance that Jun was envious.

Jun was weak. He was weak and pathetic. Comparend to this guy in any physical, materialistic way you were meant to look at it Jun was the obvious winner but he could never be as strong as this guy.

Tommorow, Cafe Ole, 4. I’ll be waiting

Natsuki.

P.S. It’s free but you’re buying my meal <3

With that Jun decided maybe it was time to go home. He’d wait for Mao to come back from whatever date it was she was on and then talk to her. It wasn’t good fighting with her.

He was being juvenile.

Maybe this was why his mother sent him here not to stop hating women.

But to grow up.

------------------------------------------------------------

Toma walked in with Maki hand in hand as they entered the room. Shige came up to them instantly raising an eyebrow at their interlocked hands but saying nothing more. It was probably friendly and he understood. He wasn’t overbearing in the least, and to be honest Shige loved Toma.

“Toma! How have you been?” He reached to hug the boy who let go of Maki’s hand momentarily to hug the older brother figure. Shige hugged his sister and then started walking towards a table indicating for the two of them to follow.

“I’ve been great. Thanks for letting us come Shige really this means the world. Is it true Hayao Miyazaki sensei is here?”

“Of course. He’s at another table though I’m so sorry but I can always introduce you two. Takashi-sensei asked me to make you sit beside your new co-star in the T.V. special of Koto.”

“Oh. Nagasawa Masami-san?” Toma asked and Shige nodded smiling.

“She’s here with her boyfriend though. Oguri Ryo-san.”

Maki’s eyes widened as she recognized the name.

How could she not recognize the name? He was the idol of her beloved ex-boyfriend, the apple of his eye, the brother to his brother.

As Shige excused himself pointing out the table they were supposed to be seated at Maki pulled on Toma’s sleeve. “Ryo is Shun’s brother Toma!”

But Toma didn’t seem to get how important a thing this was.

“Is that a big deal?” Maki shrugged.

“I guess not.” But she couldn’t help it when she whipped out her cell phone and texted Shun quickly.

Your brother’s here...and he’s with some girl. What does your sister look like again?

She was surprised when she found the instant text back, and she was even more surprised when she found it was drunk.

Wasafnsa smster witane. Which translated to: no way! My sister’s with me.

She held Toma’s hand back and flipped out her cell phone to take a picture of the two who were conversing and smiling at each other over their food. Maki didn’t have to ever converse with the two to know their history though. Ryo and Aya they sounded like way too much effort and way too much pain. As soon as she sent the picture she closed the phone and smiled.

She hadn’t done something like that in a while.

“Should I even ask why your taking a picture? Is that going to help Mao out in some way?”

“To be honest I think she’s done gossiping. She hasn’t even gone to the magazine in a month. Tegoshi told me he was thinking of cutting her loose unless she comes up with something big.” Maki grabbed his arm within her own and pressed herself to him. Toma grimaced for just the slightest moment so she let her grasp loose. “Sorry it’s just- you know that’s-“

But Toma clapped a hand over and she couldn’t help but remark how warm it felt. “Don’t worry about it come on. We can’t stand here forever.”

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

SPOTTED.
R is hanging out with the resident new teen beauty queen on his vacation back to the motherland. All we can say is...where’s A? And why haven’t we seen a mental breakdown yet?

And who is the mystery man we’re seeing with S in a gay bar in downtown Tokyo? The quality is bad but even we can tell it’s a little more than friendly. D better get his poor bottom down there before his girlfriend cheats on him again.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jun shut his phone shaking his head. What did he say? He’d known this would happen. It was only inevitable that Ryo would once again hurt Aya.

And of course now Aya would be alone. This time he could not, would not stand by her. She would have to learn that he would always leave her by herself so she could grow stronger to not return to him.

He paused at the entrance as something yellow caught his eye and he shut his cell phone.

Daisies. They were Mao’s favourite. There was no way he couldn’t know that with all the daisy posters they had around their room. There was even a picture of her as a child on her desk in a tiny white dress with a flower held up to her eye.

God he was obsessed but the more he thought about it the more he didn’t want to loose her friendship at the very least. He could try and put aside his attraction for her, he had to. He’d figure something out but why on earth was she so upset about his relationship with Jin? Not that he actually had one but she had no right or claim over him.
He didn’t stop himself from bending down to pluck the flowers out. “Sorry guys, but if it helps, you’re helping me gain the heart of a fair maiden huh? Just as you guys would want to die.” He shoved them into the pocket of his jacket and paused to look at himself in the entrance hallway mirror making sure he was completely girl as he walked towards his dorm.

At least now he’d try and do what he came here to do and not get involved in oodles of drama that had found him here.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“DO YOU EVEN KNOW HOW TO DRIVE?!” Jin wasn’t sure how he’d ended up in the passenger seat of Aya’s car but all he knew was Shun threw her his phone at some point in their drunken stupor she’d broken down crying while Shun and Serena left and he was left to deal with her.

He didn’t know why he was getting so completely stuck with this girl and he wasn’t sure what on earth had let him let her drive. He was drunk before but with the speed at which she was going and the adrenaline energy rush going through his veins he’d been sobered down in exactly two minutes and thirty-three seconds.

“YES!” burst into giggles after her words and she lifted the top of her convertible and the gush of air flowed through their hair. He had to admit there was something pretty about the way she looked right now.

“So why are we driving so fast?” His voice was soft so it barely reached her but her smile faltered a bit and so did her speed.

“Every time I get upset. I like to drive faster. The rush that it gives me could probably kill me...but it makes me feel better.”

“What was in that text Aya?”

“Nothing.” She said it with such conviction and such belief that Jin had no choice but to not believe her. “So why do you like Serena so much anyways?”

“She’s a pretty girl. I’m single. I’d like to settle down with someone eventually and she’s funny and adventurous.” Aya scoffed for a moment before shaking her head and Jin could only think...what now?

“Is that so?”

“Completely?”

“So it wasn’t her perfect proportions, or the long blonde hair? No it was her sense of adventure and her intelligent wit.” She was judging him!

“So what if it was even? It’s one night. She’s in a new country looking to have fun, I’m looking to have fun we’re both co-incidentally in the same bar and she’s damn hot and I’m damn hot. So what Aya? I don’t get why some girls are so needy for something concrete. Where’s the fun in that?”

“I don’t understand how you can go from describing a relationship with Serena to a one night stand.” Aya sounded disgusted as she looked out on the highway. Were in the hell were they anyways? “Jin...where are we?”

“How would I know? Do I look like the type of guy who loves the outdoors?” At that she squeezed his muscles to prove a point and he laughed some of his prior light-headedness coming back to him.

"It's called a Gym Aya. You should get to it." At the sound of her scary laughter he burst into laughter ever harder as she yelled at him to tell him why he was laughing.

"What's so funnyyyy?"

"You are !" She took an exit and he started laughing even harder.

"Ohhh getting ready to dump my body are you?"

"Obviously!" She said laughing back at him as she drove around fast trying to find a park. They were out by the ocean though so honestly all she could find was a beach.

"We're at the sea! We're going to be- happy and swimming and floating like the fishiesssss of the sea!" Jin started singing and Aya smacked his head.

"You are so smashed." She put the car into park and got out and ran to the trunk.

"Hey what are you getting?!!!" Jin yelled back at her turning in his seat grumbling that his seatbelt was poking into his buttocks.

She smiled as she shut the trunk and hid whatever was in her hands behind her back and made her way around to his side of the door.

When she brought the bottle of smirnoff out Jin could only smile more. Sure he didn't like her too much but any girl in clothes like hers right now and a bottle of vodka could have him smiling.

"Let's go!"

------------------------------------------------------------

"So..."

"So..."

"We aren't going to sit around randomly saying So. Okay. I forbid it. This is so not like us. We don't fight! I fight with Maki I fight with Rika...but I REFUSE TO FIGHT WITH YOU!" She yelled suddenly and Jun shut up and nodded looking at the ground like a meek little obedient cat.

That was after all his character. He was Mao's little meek cat.

"I'm sorry. I never thought you'd get mad about Jin." He said grinning inwardly in his head.

"I really wasn't! I was just shocked at how an ugly person like you could get a boyfriend!" She insisted and Jun's eye twitched like he was mad at her but he covered it up with a smile.

"Like I wasn't shocked at how somoene like you could actually get a stable boyfriend. Miss. I'm so not trustworthy."

"Yeah well I'm smarter than you aren't I?"

"Who the hell said that?! We're both stuck in the same dumb boat you know that right???" He giggled joyously as she glared back at him.

"Shut up oh greatly dumb one. Anyways a lot has happened with Koyerika."

"In the five hours you and I haven't been talking you are seriously saying that life changing things have happened with our let's make our best friend fall in love operation?" He couldn't believe any of her words but they were there and she nodded happily.

"I work a lot better without you." She said smiling what might have been the truest most honest smile possible. He couldn't find himself all that mad with her with that smile on her face. She always had that effect on people.

Thus how she was such a spoilt brat.

"But..." She started off again and he looked up with more awareness almost waiting for her to say something that would make his heart feel like it was happy.

Which she always tended to do unaware of it all. "It was a lot less fun without you." She said somewhat unwillingly. He grinned widely and wanted to envelope the girl in a bear hug but he didn't. He used to wish he'd been rooming with someone else at the start of the semester. Someone like Erika or Haruka but perhaps Mao had been the best choice for his roomate. He couldn't imagine living and sleeping anywhere else than right here beside her. Without thinking much he grabbed her hand and interlaced his fingers withe her short albeit delicate ones. Her head shot up in shock and he stared on at her. He would have much rather grabbed her but- this would have to do for now.

"I really can't imagine not being beside you." He said and Mao blinked her eyes as if she couldn't quite believe what was coming out of Jun's mouth. Jun himself could hardly believe what he was saying to this girl. The things she awoke in him sometimes, how pure the feeling was. He had never felt anything like it. With Aya it was something about possession. He wanted to be the first thing on Aya's mind and the last thing when she fell asleep. He was quite sure he almost succeeded too. He was always the second last thing and the thing right after the first. He had never been able to completely capture her heart partially because it had already been seized.

But with Mao his feelings were so pure...all he wanted was to see her smile or be happy. There was no passion even. It was almost brotherly but the skip of his heart always told him it wasn't.

"I can't imagine you just said that!" Mao said giggling nervously as if she was joking around but inside her something stirred as if this wasn't Jun holding her hand. At least not the Jun she knew.

"Imagine it." Jun said softly as he pulled her hand towards him and pulled her body into his. For some reason there was a deep sense of self satisfaction as he felt her collide with him again. She was warm, soft and comfortably almost like a pillow he would love to sleep on. Mao was confused she felt as if she needed to get out of the embrace. As if it was cheating on Toma but really it was just a hug with another girl wasn't it?

There was nothing wrong with it. Seeing as how Toma and Pi were all over each other all the time Mao could do this too couldn't she? She hesitantly closed her eyes and relaxed her head by Jun's heart. It was beating almost alarmingly fast. She shook her head and pushed herself off and Jun let her go with a smile on his face.

Mao stared at him a little struck. She wasn't sure what exactly to say. She'd never felt like that before when she'd hugged Maki or Erika...heck she hadn't felt like that when she'd hugged Shun. So what was this?

Why was Jun making her feel like Toma was right beside her instead of Jun herself?

"I have to go." She said finally grinning widely as she stood up. She couldn't tell anyone either. No one could know about this. It was too-

different.

Even for her it felt like uncharted waters, something she should be careful about falling into. As good as it felt stepping and floating on the surface who knew when it would be her falling through the ocean and drowning in the abyss.

When she saw Jun smile at her she knew that she was being nothing but overdramatic. She must have been experiencing some form of horrible As usual she was overreacting.

"Where are you going?" Jun asked her as she looked at her in a way that for some reason only Jun. Like she was a child, to be treated with care but never infantilized.

"Just for a walk." She smiled and Jun immediately smiled back to her and grabbed her hand to stop her.

"Wait one second." She stared at her curiously as she dug around her purse and pulled out the sweetest thing that had ever happened to her. "I got these for you from outside even though it's illegal to pluck on Eitoku grounds. I know how much you like daisies so."

Mao struggled to swallow. She felt her eyes tear up and she hugged her. She even felt masculine under her arms and so Mao could only hug Jun tighter. "Thanks."

Oh god.

What.

The

Hell

Was

Happening.
