To Be In The Ritz Trapped & Koyama's Slapped

Third Time's The Charm
About thirty minutes later he slumped onto the bed tired. Where the hell was this girl?

"Gomen ne!" She burst out from the room on the side and Shun rolled his eyes at her and she rolled them back.

"What do you want me to say? I forgive you? Cause I really don’t." His back ached from all the sitting he’d been doing on a perfectly good bed. How could he have thought this type of girl, the one who bugged him eternally, could ever be beautiful?

He turned to look at her as she slouched over her drawer. To be honest...right now she was anything but the image she usually portrayed for him, light coloured clothing, light curls flouncing up and down with ever step meant to enchant you, and the slightest touch of sparkle on her ears with diamond studs.

Right now she was dressed in pants that started at her knees, but of course that wasn’t a problem seeing as how her shirt ended at her ankles almost. Her feet were cloaked with the biggest pieces of plastic rubber sneakers he’d ever seen. As she turned to face him right now he saw she was wearing quite an obscenely bright piece of jewellry on her neck.

Bling?

Pardon his expression but, wtf?

"Can you stand to look at me now?" She asked him out of the blue turning around and Shun grinned widely.

"I have no idea what this has to do with you and Ryo. Obviously you’re just as insane as I thought you were and if you think you look beautiful in that and you’re getting compliments from me you’re high." To anyone else he would have felt mean saying such harsh things but he was being completely honest. With Aya he could be completely honest because she could take it. He could tell...there was something particularly hardened about her. She looked like she was too tiny for all the clothes. There was nothing beautiful about it.

Perhaps Jun would have found it beautiful though he said remembering the text message Aya had received yesterday.

Aya turned the corner of upwards to mock his words. "Nothing to do with me and Ryo eh?"

"This was what was the end result of our relationship. I was left broken, he was left god knows. I can’t ever know how he feels. The point is. Nothing good came of it. So how is it possible that telling you ANYTHING whatsoever about me and Ryo can ever be good for you and me?" Shun stared at her slightly speechless at her choice of words but tried to keep the blush from coming on his face. He looked at her seriously waiting for her to realize what she’d accidentally said but she stood by her words. He seriously thought about what she’d told him in her few short words.

He’d asked for a story she’d given him an outfit. Seriously Aya was really odd. Beautiful yes...but the inner workings of her head probably worked completely differently than anyone else’s.

"Okay...I don’t really know what I’m supposed to say next." Shun said grinning widely as if it was an awkward situation, it wasn’t but he wanted her to feel like that and get dressed in something else quickly so they could walk out of the room with something intact.

"That’s what the story would be like Shun. That’s exactly how it’d be if I told you everything. I think you really shouldn’t know. You’re our brother and I want you to look at us the exact same way you have before." She uttered completely serious, the smile on her face was more like a tight lip neutral one.

Kind of like Mona Lisa he couldn’t help but compare.

"Are you that adamant on not telling me?" Shun questioned somewhat pissed off.

"Yes." She answered back with no reserves whatsoever. This was her brother and while she enjoyed bantering with him she realized she didn’t really want him to know much about her. She just wanted to enjoy mindless dissing once in a while and talking to Shun as if he really was her brother and did care for her. Telling him would complete change their relationship.

She didn’t want to danger the only person she had to fight with now since Jun was gone. He wouldn’t come back for sorries, or thank yous. That much had been made apparent by his bucket load of drinking last night. With that stupid no less.

She shuddered at the thought. He must be even angrier with her seeing as how Jin knew about who he was now.

"Let’s go Shun we’re getting late." She said grinning as she slipped on her leather jacket over the clothes and grabbed his hand. "You might as well get to know some people from New York if you’re going to live there neh?" It could very well help him settle in and who knows maybe Ryo would be there too and Shun could drool after him like he’d always loved drooling after his brother.

"When are you meeting okaa-san?" Shun asked her suddenly and Aya turned to him with a furrowed eyebrow. Okaa-san was back in New York what the hell was he talking about?

"What on earth are you talking about?" She voiced the mockery evident in her voice as she swayed her hips towards the elevator pressing the button and tapping her foot as Shun let a small smile come on his face. Ahh this girl knew nothing did she?

"Ryo’s been telling okaa-san that you’re going to come meet her." Shun stared at his sister who still remained in her nonchalant state not quite understanding what it was that Shun was uttering out at her. Aya rolled her eyes shaking her head.

"Okaa-san is back in New Yo- oh." It suddenly dawned on her that Shun was speaking about his mother.

Ryo’s mother.

The woman who practically everyone in the building of Shueto was scared of. She’d never seen the woman and she’d never stayed long enough in New York to be invited home for dinner. The woman hopped from one country to the next like a crazy woman owning her own private jet that Aya had been told by her stepfather Shun wasn’t even allowed to use.

"Ehhh I think I’ll reject that offer thank you very much." She spoke truthfully walking into the elevator as it beeped open and Shun followed her laughing at the somewhat fearsome tremble in her voice.

"She’s not that bad you know? She only made my girlfriend so insecure we broke up." He said jokingly and Aya’s eyes widened shaking her head as if she didn’t quite believe what Shun had told her.

"Maji de?"

"Maji." He laughed at the expression of utter awe and shock on his sister’s face.

"No wonder you weren't with that pretty girl at Blair's thing on Sunday."

"You’ve seen Maki?" Shun questioned and Aya grinned nodding flipping open her phone to show Shun the picture she had saved of him and Maki together.

"Don’t the two of you look adorable?" She said grinning up at her brother who was tilting his head sideways as if questioning the very same thing. It was true Maki and he looked so utterly perfect for each other it was crazy but there was something missing as adorable a picture it was.

He suddenly flipped the applications turning the camera on and placed the phone quickly in front of Aya and himself so that it captured the moment exactly and clicked the picture and kissed her cheek.

At the sound of the click and the smooch Aya’s eyes widened instinctively and her jaw dropped. She turned her head and looked at her brother with a surprised yet almost inviting look. She grinned widely and ruffled his hair that took quite a bit of effort from her toes seeing as Shun was crazy tall.

Shun couldn’t help but feel slightly closer to her by hearing everything she hadn’t said in the room about her and Ryo.

"You’re the weirdest brother ever."

"You’re not my sister you know...but if you’re sad I’ll try to perk you up. If Ryo-nii lets you down I’ll bring you up...and if I say anymore it’ll sound like a love confession and anyone who confesses to you must have no taste." He grinned laughing and Aya rolled her eyes pulling her hand off his head but Shun grabbed it and pulling it into his own large hand. "Iku yo?"

"If you don’t hold my hand you’ll get lost neh Shun-chan?" She beamed up at him and swayed their hands back and forth in an exaggerated motion almost knocking a bellboy that was passing by them as they exited the elevator heading for the entrance to the hotel.

"And you call me the weird one." He smirked at her and Aya stuck her tongue out as they disappeared into the masses walking the streets of Tokyo.

6:00PM

"We’ve gone over this. Multiple times now. So many times you’re starting to look a bit pink and not red." Koyama said honestly staring at Erika who was taking deep breaths and paused to give him a giant smile.

"I know. I think I have it down. Okay-" She slapped him suddenly and Koyama looked at her in shock feeling the pain shoot through his head for a moment before looking at her with a shaken ogle.

"Okay...what the-"

"That’s what I’m going to do if he doesn’t give me an answer I like, a.k.a one of the ones we haven’t practiced." Koyama sighed frustrated. God this girl would never be prepared. That was not something you wanted to do to the guy you liked! No matter how stupidly cool it looks in the doramas!

"Look man I don’t know what this dude looks like. Can you show me the picture you’ve been hiding behind your back all this time? I’m going to know who he is soon enough anyways when he comes up. He better not be uglier than me because then I’ll just be pissed off." Koyama snapped his fingers in Erika’s face in a girly manner that seemed to work for her, as it didn’t get her all flustered and scared. Damn...she was too used to girly es like his sister and that girl he’d met yesterday morning, the one who had wanted him as a slave.

He joked with himself that he might take her up on the offer now.

"It feels odd letting someone who likes me see a picture of the person I like."

"It’s not odd when that person is your coach! God how many times do we have to go over this? I’m not going to pounce on you. You’ve rejected me and now it’s done. I’m going to eventually lose my feelings for you and then we’ll both live happily ever after."

Erika opened to protest but Koyama clapped a hand over it and finished his sentence smiling. "With other people." She nodded slowly and shrugged bringing her hands forth with the picture of Kame and Haruka.

"Damn you weren’t kidding. They look really into each other. You got competition babe. This girl looks like she got him wrapped around her finger." He examined the picture so closely that he was squinting. Erika immediately yanked it back and slumped against the wall.

"Don’t you think I know that?" She said tucking it into her pocket weakly. It was really hopeless but if Koyama was right she needed some sort of closure. She couldn’t pine after one guy forever could she?

Oh but she could! She was so sure Kamenashi-sama was the one for her and she was the one for him. If only he’d wake up and see it then it’d be that much simpler. She could wait for him though. It totally wasn’t a big deal. She understood that guys needed more time to realize whom they really loved. Women were just intuitive about it.

She turned to Koyama to tell him this exact thing but found his eyes looking deep into her as if he’d read her mind. Which she was almost sure he had. For some reason Koyama looked like he was able to take care of people, the way she’d always been taken care of. He knew what they needed, how to help them and perhaps that was all he really wanted to do as well...help people. He seemed like such a good person too, helping her with her lack of being able to speak well with men when she’d rejected him.

Wow she was letting go a really awesome man.

But it would be wrong to hang onto him without any real feelings for him like the ones she felt for Kamenashi-sama.
"I’m not going to lie Erika. The way you’ve spoken about this man it seems as if he barely notices you exist. Still...there’s something about you that’s very sweet and innocent and pure and I think that’s what attracts people to you. Your naivety is something that isn’t around a lot nowadays. I know that’s what attracted me to you. Your tomato face was so adorable I had to try and get with it." Koyama giggled as Erika hit him on the arm and immediately looked as if she was about to apologize for it.

"Save it." He said sweetly. He already understood she was just joking with him; it didn’t need to be said out loud. She smiled and nodded as she stood up pumping up a fist in the air and jogging on the spot.

"What’s wrong Erika?" He asked her and she turned to him a somewhat pained expression on her face.

"I can’t do this."

"Of course you can."

"No you don't understand..I really can’t-"

"I’m not going to let my awesome generosity get wasted like this. So you will do this." He bossed tutting his finger as she smacked it and jogged even faster on the spot.

"I’m doing the potty dance idiot. Can I go now?" Erika bit back on her tongue blushing furiously. Hazukashi!!! But it was getting really tough to hold onto it and Koyama would have bugged her on where she was heading to anyways and that would lead to an awkward conversation and-

It was best to just let it be awkward from the start. Cause then at least it could fade away eventually like it always tended to with him neh?

"Go head into the boxing ring Erika-chan!" He posture and her movements and Erika rolled her eyes. She replied with a loud ‘Hai!’ rushing off towards the washroom. Koyama couldn’t help but laugh. Such a crazy little girl and yet she was so captivatingly innocent.

Eh at least he was helping someone out for once neh? He turned his head to start practicing his broody acting skills when he saw someone enter twirling what looked like keys to some automobile on his ring finger. For a second the man paused to look at Koyama as well and his eyes narrowed as if he recognized Koyama as well. He settled for giving Koyama a nod and Koyama nodded back unsure of whether it was friendly or not.

As the man walked away towards his room presumably Koyama stared on at the spot he’d been. Why did the boy look so familiar to him? Like he’d seen him only moments ago but that wasn’t possible because Erika had been beside him moments before and she wasn’t really a guy-

Oh god he was as bad as her now wasn’t he? Her influence was getting on him. He turned to pick up the picture that Erika had left on the floor beside him and examined it.

Yes Kamenashi-kun was in the building.

And perhaps with that shortly a proclamation Erika’s ever-burning feelings for him would happen in just a few minutes? It was somewhat admirable wasn’t it? A girl waiting for a guy since she was 14. Waiting for him to notice her. Koyama couldn’t help but wonder if there was a girl like that out there in New York for him. He doubted it...he hadn’t really gotten popular until last year. Still, the thought of it was quite warm and pleasant. Especially if he thought of Erika waiting for him.

He couldn’t help but envy the oblivious Kame. He had something in him that had attracted Erika-chan the virtually non-attracted.

Something Koyama wished he could have too.

Well whatever. She’d be coming back in a couple of minutes anyways he’d tell her Kamenashi was here then.

It really did . Then again what the hell it was just a couple of days and his feelings for her weren’t that great either. They’d barely talked, and all he knew was he was attracted to her mannerisms and cute little smile. Not to mention under those sweaters and loose shirts she wore she looked like she had quite the hot bod.

He glanced at his watch. He probably wouldn’t be going to Dancing Petals today. He’d call Rosa and tell her. He was kind of sad because he’d really wanted to meet her again. She always had a way of telling him exactly what he wanted to hear even if it wasn’t anything like what originally he wanted to listen to.

"MoshiMosh?" He heard the girl say from the back. Ahh he’d caught her off guard. Her host business was probably setting up for opening right now.

"Rosa-chan? Koyama de." He said softly and almost heard that sweet business-like smile of hers spread over the phone.

"Keiichiro! Why call me? You are going to come to our humble abode today aren’t you? I even made sure that all my other customers were gone. Today was supposed to be my purely Koyama-kun filled evening." Seriously that woman how was it that she told people something so beautiful yet something so obviously pimping her business? He should take lessons if he wanted to end up being the new Zac Efron in a year.

"Gomen Gomen.I can’t make it today. I doubt you’ll have much trouble though. You’ll get a new customer in a blink."

"Demo. Today was supposed to be Koyama-kun’s day? Are you sure you can’t make it?" She pleaded over the phone. He turned to see Erika come out of the washroom a frustrated look on her face.

"I’ll see but it’ll have to be later neh Rosa-chan? Ja ne." He said quickly hanging up before Erika could really notice he’d been talking to anyone. He didn’t like talking about Rosa with anyone.

"Let’s do this neh?" Koyama grinned widely at Erika whose eyes were narrowly shut and she shook her head.

"I can’t. I’m on my period." She said and immediately widened her eyes clutching her hand over .

"I mean-"

"Wow...awkward." Koyama said softly grinning and Erika fumbled and yes she bumbled a bit as well.

"Well...I doubt you’re having with Kamenashi-san so daijobu desu ne! Ganbatte Erika!" He said quickly shoving her towards the direction that Kame’s room was in before find Erika was clutching onto his shirt and pulling herself back in front of him.

"It’s too early!"

"No it’s not."

"If I cramp it’s your fault and you have to stay with me the entire time!"

"If Kamenashi answers right I won’t need to." Which he will, Koyama added to himself because everyone would answer right to Erika given the correct questions.

And Koyama had given Erika the right questions.
