Mistake

Not you again!

Your POV

I unravelled my bun and changed into more comfy clothes, clothes that Woohyun used to bring over when he slept at my place. Someone knocked on the door loudly, disturbing me from my daily routine of spending hours watching TV shows. I slided to the door, always slipping as the person got impatient and knocked louder.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" Woohyun smiled, holding a big bear with a heart in the middle.

I gave him a weird stare, not understanding the situation.

"It's your birthday." he said, walking inside my himself.

He walked into the kitchen and began taking food out of the pantry.

---

Woohyun's POV

"What are you doing?" she asked, holding onto my arm, stopping me from unpacking the ingredients.

Eletric shocks were sent through me as her touch lingered on my skin.

"I'm preparing you a birthday dinner."

"But I already have a date with someone tonight." she said.

"I guess you just have to cancel it then." I smiled and continued going back to preparing the food.

She furrowed her brows as if she's trying to understand the situation. She walked back to her couch. I looked at her slim and fragile figure walk elegantly. I shook my head, waking my senses. You're here to prepare her a birthday dinner, as a friend. A friend. I reminded myself.

----

Your POV

I tried to refrain myself from doing anything stupid infront of him. I was trying to understand the situation, not sure why he came over at such a time.

It wasn't long before he presented to me a table of food and even a cake. I gazed at him as he smiled childishly at his achievements.

---

Woohyun's POV

She walked over and brushed the flour in my hair, her scent making me dizzy. I was drunk on her presence. She sat down on the opposite side of the table and tied her hair up high, just the way she always does and began eating.

I gazed at her unconsciously and smiled.

"Wow, I forgot how good your cooking was." she said, stretching as she finished eating.

"Got room for cake?" I smiled.

She nodded gleefully. As I sliced the cake, she got two glasses and placed them on the coffee table infront of the couch with one of her expensive wines. She poured them gently, waiting for me to come over.

---

Your POV

I dug into my third spoonful of cake while Woohyun was drinking his third glass. His eyes were droopy and he began mumbling. He was never a strong drinker, but he still tried. He turned to me and gave me his stupid, perfect smile.

"NaEun, I really, really, really like her. She's so beautiful. Don't you think?" he asked as his body wavered from side to side.

He finally slumped on the couch, his head resting on my shoulder.

"She's amazing, she makes me smile and laugh, and I love her." he said.

My smile spreaded and I held his hand in mine, intertwining our fingers. His warm fingers squeezed mine tightly.

"I'm so glad, NaEun. I have no regrets. I love her, she's graceful and knows exactly what to say."

"She's cute when she wants to, and y when she needs to be. She's perfect." he said, listing all the ways that I'm perfect.

My smile got wider as I listened to him admiring me. I raised my glass of wine, drinking as I tried to stop blushing from his comments.

"NaEun, did I do the right thing?" he asked, his eyes droopily looked at me.

"What did you do?" I asked, wanting him to tell me that him coming back to me was the right thing to do.

"I don't feel any regret." he said.

I got confused, waiting for his response.

"I'm glad, NaEun. Thank you NaEun, without you, I wouldn't know what love is." he said, placing his other hand on mine and smiled like an idiot.

I ruffled his hair and chuckled at his cheesness.

"I'm glad for all our memories NaEun, but I'm also glad that I gave up on you, or else I wouldn't have met Hyuna. She's beautiful." he said, his last words slurring as he fell into deep slumber.

My fingers become loosely intertwined with his and my glass of wine dropped, staining the cream rug.

My shoulders deflated. My smiled disppeared, and the hope in my eyes was gone. My heart sunk to the lowest of lows. I tried to understand what happened, trying to understand and absorb the fact that he has moved on.

I looked over at him and his innocent face.

Letting you go was probably the stupidest mistake I made.

Chapter 24: Holy ____. this was one of the stories that made me cry, seriously. Like, I rarely cry over stories. But yeah, congrats. xDD

just want to say, I wish she'd go back to joon permanently, that she'd let Woohyun go with no hard feelings whatsoever and Woohyun and na eun would be able to be back as friends..

I want Lee Joon. :/ He had a longer relationship with her and the only reason he left was because of his mom. And he left his mom for her anyway.
