The plague
ProustianThe forest is a menagerie. It is the home of different kinds of animals, but sadly, there were some which took advantage of those that are weaker than others that they forcibly drove them out of their habitat and made them live in cramped, shoddy, unsafe spaces.
This were given the imprimatur by some bears who got huge amounts of honey and fruits from other animals who want to capture these species - some bears, for one, will get tons of food from hyenas in exchange for helping them seize turtles or capture pangolins, because they believed if they do so, they can gain some magical power - a pangolin's scale, they thought, can make them invincible, while some rich hyenas want an elephant's ivory which they will use as some ornament to decorate their own corner in the forest.
This vanity and greed led to the plague, which changed everyone's lives.
When the plague happened, Proustian's mama bear found out that the white bears will only provide help and assistance to their fellow white bears. The brown bears who worked for them in the same forest were excluded.
Proustian's mama bear then wrote the other brown bears and asked them to petition the chief of the white bears. "We are all affected by this plague. As those who take care of the elder white bears, the ones who continue to go out to gather food while they stay safe at home, we deserve protection from the plague too," Proustian's mama bear said.
