Sinusubukan ko pa ring i-rebisa yung screenplay kahit na rehearsal stage na kami kasi hindi ako agree sa bersyon na ito, on how the play conveniently contributed to the white savior narrative. 

I like the songs. Dito pa nga nakilala sa world stage si Lea Salonga.

Pero the play was told from the viewpoint of the oppressor, not the victim. 

There are love stories, then there are lies warped and concealed in love stories. 

Kung ako magkakaroon ng love story, ayoko ng ganun.

I was deep in this thought nang makita ko yung babaeng kanina pa atras-sulong sa may pedestrian lane.

Hahakbang, babalik. 

Susubok, tapos titigil.

"Uy, classmate," sabi ko paglapit sa kanya.

"Uy, snapback," sabi niya sa akin.

I smiled at how she referred to me.

"Kanina ka pa diyan, urong-sulong. Hindi ka makatawid?" I asked her, concerned.

Umiling lang siya. 

"Nakakalunod yung mga busina. Nakaka-discombobulate yung mga ilaw."

Hindi na ko nag-dalawang-isip.

Hinawakan ko kamay niya.

'"Tara, kapit ka sa akin. Sabay tayong tatawid, tayong dalawa."
