University: Lost Parting Words.
Crossing the Parallel Paths
Times stops for no one. You may resist, you may rebel, you may avoid. However in the end time will continue flowing like water trickling down a slope. It may slow down, it may change path, it may flounder, however it will not stop. After all, times stops for no one.
With all these conflicted sentiments bottled up inside of him, Johnny walked around the university campus that was bustling with life. Any hints of negativity was hidden from sight by the flamboyant graduation gown that was draped over his body.
Looking over the crowd spread in front of him, Johnny easily caught sight of Nari holding a bouquet of flowers while taking photos with some classmates. As she pushed aside the tussle on the cap that kept slapping her in the face, Nari noticed Johnny observing her and offered him a bright smile of pride and satisfaction. Without wasting any time, Nari handed the bouquet of flowers to the closest person to her and gave a quick wave to her classmates before forging her way towards Johnny, tripping on the hem of her gown on multiple occasions. Lacking any form of elegance, ironically it was because Nari kept bouncing off of people she passed by that she had been saved from falling flat on the ground.
Biting back a chuckle of amusement, Johnny patiently waited. When he saw Nari stumble out of the crowd only to propel herself forward without any signs of stopping, Johnny had to intervene by extending an arm to catch her. However the tall male had misjudged the distance and Nari’s height, thus although Johnny had intended to latch onto Nari’s arm to stabilise her, he ended up wrapping his hand around her face and when he pulled her towards himself, the scene resembled very much like a farmer pulling up a bunch of carrots fresh from the ground.
“Sorry,” Johnny quickly apologised, his eyes doubling in size at what he had done.
“Thought you were more delicate than that,” Nari snorted while readjusting her cap.
“Sorry,” Johnny repeated, his hands hovering around Nari and not knowing what to do.
