High School: Graduation.
Crossing the Parallel Paths
In the blink of an eye two years had rolled by and graduation dawned upon the students. Having survived the long and boring speech from the principal, Seulgi gathered Nari and Jaehyun for group photos but failed to find the last member of their group.
“Where is Taeyong?” Seulgi huffed. “Nari did you scare him away again?”
“I did nothing of the sort!” Nari exclaimed in offence.
“Bet you threatened to nail him to the wall or something,” Jaehyun sniggered, entertaining himself by adding fuel to the fire.
“That only happened once,” Nari groaned. “And it was an accident.”
“Right, accident,” Seulgi and Jaehyun said in unison, showing no signs of believing the girl’s words.
Nari’s nostrils flared but she kept her annoyance in check when she caught sight of Taeyong and quickly grabbed him before he could disappear again.
“Let’s hurry and take these darned photos,” Nari grumbled. “Then I can finally strip off this uniform and set it on fire.”
“Please do that once you’re home and not out here in public.” Seulgi frowned. “Unless you have a change of clothes with you here.”
“Right no, I plan curse the school by burning the uniform and books and dance around the fire ,” Nari deadpanned.
Taeyong chocked on his saliva. Despite being fully aware that Nari was joking, knowing her, Taeyong could actually picture her doing exactly that if it meant creating more second hand embarrassment for Seulgi and sending their maths teacher to an early grave.
“That would be quite a sight,” Jaehyun whistled, earning a slap on the back by Seulgi who did not approve of him encouraging Nari’s outlandish behaviour.
Finally settled down, the four friends proceeded to take a series of formal and silly photos with Seulgi’s camera — with the promise that she would share the final products with them and decide together which ones to print out.
Taeyong’s eyes wandered around the school courtyard littered with students, staff and family members before his attention shifted back towards the group surrounding him, filling his ears with vibrant and joyous laughter. Smiling to himself, Taeyong wondered to himself how he had gotten so lucky as to make such good friends.
“Lee Taeyong!”
A loud voice called out his name and Taeyong’s head snapped in
