Crossing the Parallel Paths
With the sunset serving as backdrop, the art studio was bathed in a warm light that painted the walls and furniture with hues of orange and red. The sound of chipping and wood debris falling to the ground echoed in the air as Nari was immersed in her own world, on her lower lip in deep concentration with the mallet and chisel becoming extensions of her hands.
Johnny meanwhile had a report due in a few hours, but the library had become a mass grave of students being defeated by deadlines and assignments. During his desperate search for a quiet place to finish the report, Johnny’s ears picked up the rhythmic sound of sculpting that tugged him towards the art studio Nari always used.
For some bizarre reason no one else seemed to use that art studio even though it was open to all students from the art department. It seemed that other than Nari, only Taeyong and Jaehyun frequented it, using it as the gathering ground.
Since Nari had not kicked him out during his previous visits, Johnny took it as an open invitation for him to use the space. Sitting a few tables away, Johnny settled comfortably while typing away on his computer with his textbooks laid out in front of him. He would however occasionally peak over his computer screen to observe Nari, taking in her silhouette that was highlighted by the setting sun.
