In the midst of their game Sana and Tzuyu had passed a couple of food shops and their hunger was starting to overtake their adrenaline. They were on a street corner when Sana put up a time out sign
“Tzuyu, I’m hungry”
The taller girl pats her own stomach “Me too”
“So why don’t we get food” There’s something more than hunger in Sana’s eyes, it was pride, and she had a smug smirk to pair it with
“You’re only saying that because you’re winning”
“Maybe I am”
Tzuyu shrugs and stretches out, then puts her hands in her pockets
“You may have won the battle but I’m going to win the war”
Sana has a big grin on her face, she fishes one of Tzuyu’s hands out of her pocket and takes it into her own as they start walking
“I still won”
“Yeah, you won satisfaction, are you happy?”
Tzuyu feels her hat being yanked from her head
“Yes” Sana puts it on “I am thank you”
“If you keep on stealing my stuff I’m gonna have nothing soon”
Sana rolls her eyes “We can share, I’m not heartless”
“But it’s my—”
“Shush”
“But—”
Sana puts a finger to Tzuyu’s lips, staring into her eyes
“Our hat”
They’re lost in each other for a while then separate with a laugh, avoiding each other’s gaze
“We should probably get something we can eat quickly, gym is almost over”
Sana raises a brow and reaches for her phone, checking the time
“It seems like we were out way longer…Let’s go there” she points to a food truck
They order something and talk idly whilst they wait, Tzuyu listens to Sana huffing about the new cheerleaders and how she doesn’t want to go to practice.
“Sometimes I think I should just quit I mean I don’t enjoy it as much as I do other things”
“Then what’s stopping you? I mean if you don’t like it you shouldn’t do it, not good for this” Tzuyu pokes at Sana’s forehead with a sweet chuckle
They’re handed the food and a thanked for waiting
Sana sighs as she takes a sip of her sprite “It’s easier said than done”
The two find a bench to sit on.
“Would you do it? Quit I mean, like for real?” Tzuyu takes a bite of her burger
Sana looks conflicted and releases another heavy sigh “There’s no point really it’s the last year, I should just grin and bear it, right? Plus if I did quit it would cause me even more trouble than if I stayed, head cheerleader Minatozaki Sana just quitting? That would be a story”
“More of a story than us?”
Sana breathes out a laugh
“So we’re a story now?”
“Yeah why not? We should note it down, it would make a great book, true literature”
Sana laughs fully this time, she scoots a little closer
“And what should we call this ‘true literature’ if you don’t mind me asking?”
Both are giggling uncontrollably as Tzuyu is lost for a name of any sort, it’s just a stream of ‘ums’ and
