It was summer, the sun being intensely blinding this time around, making the day scorching hot that even the lightest clothing doesn’t seem to help JongIn from stopping his body from heating up. And a field inspection of their newly constricted orphanage was an extremely bad idea. The sunscreen that Kyungsoo lathered on him did manage to protect his skin but the exhaustion couldn’t be bypassed.

A bottle of glucose drink and JongIn is instantly knocked out, snuggling closer to his omega, Kyungsoo’s jasmine fragrance lulling him to sleep. He slips into a deep slumber, dreaming of a less hot tomorrow when he feels someone shaking him. Perplexed, JongIn springs up, his brain still hazy with sleep, and finds Kyungsoo by his side, sitting upright, hugging his belly.

“Why? Why?? Are you feeling pain?? Is it time already?? Do we need to go to the hospital??”

“JongIn, I’m only 6 months along. We still have 3 more months to go.” Kyungsoo simply states and JongIn’s shoulders slump down in relief.

“Right…Then why did you wake me up?”

“I am hungry” JongIn sighs, slumping back into his pillow, and slowly slipping back into sleep.

“If it's fried chicken with ice cream, it’s already in the refrigerator, I bought them on my way back so just heat it. And before you ask, we have every flavor one could find in Ben and Jerry’s so just grab whatever flavor you want.” JongIn mumbles groggily.

“No, I don’t want that.”

“If it's PBJ’s with Vinegar soda, I already got ajumma to make them and store them as well, just go grab as many as you want.”

“No, I don’t want that too.”

“Then what else?? We have all your cravings ready for you. All you need to do is heat them, Kyung.” JongIn groans, a bit irritated. Don’t get him wrong. He is the type of person who would bring you the moon if you asked for it but he just had a rough day, putting him in a cranky mood.

“I want spaghetti carbonara with kimchi.”

“What?” JongIn snaps, sitting up, totally taken aback.

“And I want it to be made by Junmyun Hyung.” Kyungsoo pouts and JongIn sighs. He glances at the clock and sighs once again.

“Babe, it's 2: 23 AM, Junmyun hyung must be asleep. It’s too late darling. Don’t we have a doctor’s appointment tomorrow? I will go get you whatever you want from our fridge. How about the fried chicken I bought? I even bought the honey-glazed one. I’ll bring it. You can have it and go back to sleep. What do you say?” JongIn tries to negotiate, his eyes heavy with sleep when he hears sniffling. When he properly opens his eyes, he sees Kyungsoo in a pout, with tears running down his mate’s chubby cheeks.

“You don’t want me anymore!” Kyungsoo’s lips jitter and JongIn’s eyes double in size. He immediately scoots closer to his crying omega, cupping his cheeks and wiping away the tumbling tears.

“Hey, why would you say that?”

“Of course, you don’t love me anymore. Look at me. I look like a waddling whale. You don’t want me to eat anymore because I’m getting fat!”

“No babe of course not!! You are not a whale darling. You are just bigger than usual cause I’m the one indulging you!! I just love you all soft and chubby, smelling all sweet and milky. You do know that I totally love your curves right? With all the groping I have been doing, I thought you noticed.” JongIn slides his hand around Kyungsoo’s hips, squeezing a good chunk of fat there to prove his point.

“Then…Then why wouldn’t you bring me my spaghetti?”

“Kyung, it’s really really late and Jun hyung must be sleeping.”

“But...But Jun hyung told me he would cook me anything anytime.”

“I know babe, but..”

“See, you just don’t want me to eat 'cause I’m fat!!”

“YOU.ARE. NOT. FAT. You are the most gorgeous, awesome, amazing, handsome, and extraordinary person that I have ever laid my eyes on. Do you want Spaghetti Carbonara with Kimchi exclusively made by Celebrity Chef Suho? You want it, you will get it, babe. Just give me some time, I’ll bring your food in no time!” JongIn hops off the bed, grabs a coat, and kisses Kyungsoo goodbye as he dashes his way to his hyung’s house.

Junmyun’s deep slumber gets interrupted when his phone blares on his nightstand, making his wriggle out of Yixing’s hold and grab the annoying device.

“Hyung!!” JongIn screeches into the phone even before Junmyun can clear his throat.

“JongIn? What happened? Why are you..”<
