Memories engraved in the season's*picture credits to the owner*
Kyungsoo wakes up around 7 the next day, walking down the stairs, expecting to find the alpha lounging on the couch, watching some re-runs of the weekday dramas, but instead finds the living room empty. He walks into the kitchen, expecting to find a note as always, but he doesn’t find any. JongIn left him without a note. Bemused, he walks up to the TV and switches it on, sitting down on the couch and messaging Baekhyun if they have any meeting. By the time he comes back with some breakfast, he gets a message from Baek that they are on a flight to London and it will take them around a week to come back. Kyungsoo crooks his brows in confusion. Why hadn’t JongIn informed him about a week-long trip? The alpha always tells him even if he goes down to the grocery store. So how come JongIn didn’t tell him about such an important business trip? Not finding any reason, Kyungsoo simply shrugs that thought away, thinking that maybe the alpha was just busy and forgot to tell him.
Munching his cereals, Kyungsoo grabs the remote to change to his desired channel, playing his favorite soap opera. The picture plays on, the protagonists having some lover’s quarrel but Kyungsoo doesn’t pay any attention to it. His mind, heart, and soul had been thinking about one thing, one person, Kim JongIn. The alpha always was the definition of perfection. He hasn’t left his mind since the other day, his conversation with Hoseok being the reason behind it. In fact, JongIn had been in his mind for quite some time, and the conversation was just a trigger to make him realize, that JongIn was indeed a miracle that happened in his life. When Chanyeol passed away, his life had come to a standstill, he didn’t know where to go from there, so he collapsed, accepting the flow of his life, and flowing away along its waves without any destination. And then, JongIn happened. Pulled him out of his tears and held him tight, giving him time to stop crying. The alpha didn’t even have to console him, just him being there, standing next to him with that charming smile of his was enough for Kyungsoo to melt. Life took away something he never thought of losing. Chanyeol came into his monotone life and painted it with every shade of the rainbow. He made him happy, content, and blessed. Despite all the negativity the world had thrown his way, he didn’t care, because Chanyeol was his world. But his world crumbled when Chanyeol left him. His little paradise broke, along with his heart, scattered around for him to collect. Then life gave him something he never dreamt of having. JongIn picked up the pieces for him, one by one, and joined them, gluing them together with his endearment, expecting absolutely nothing in return.
Kyungsoo abandons his show, walking up to his bedroom, locking the door on his way to his closet Walking in, he pulls out a wooden box lying above, brings it down, and sits along with it on the closet floor. He slowly opens the box, with lots of care and love as it holds his precious memories. Memories together with his first love, memories with his everything. Park Chanyeol. Pictures, letters, cards, gifts, everything, everything Chanyeol gave him. At least once he was able to collets before he was kicked out of their house. Kyungsoo picks up a picture, an old one, their relationship still fresh. Kyungsoo still remembers the time Chanyeol asked him out. They bumped into each other, picking up each other’s stuff in a hurry, and when Kyungsoo realizes it was the same guy who had been admiring him all that time and he tries to run away. But instead gets held back by his wrist, the alpha pulling his mask down and finally revealing his face. Kyungsoo stood by in a daze, admiring his handsome face when the alpha says it “can I be your boyfriend?”. Obviously, they didn’t start as boyfriends. Kyungsoo suggested they get to know each other first, despite the fact that it was instant attraction and they were obviously gonna end up together.
Chanyeol became his fir
