Woojin curled himself into a ball, squeezing his eyes shut in hopes of fighting back his tears. If he listened really carefully, he could hear Felix’s cries of pain. Or maybe it was just in his head, tattooed there for the rest of his life. A constant reminder of his failure to look after his family.

Felix, Minho, Hakyeon, and Taekwoon had been sent out on a mission. It was supposed to be simple, but on the way back they’d run into a group of hero students. The four ‘villains’ were completely outnumbered and were easily beaten. Thankfully, Minho had managed to send off an SOS and Sanghyuk, Jaehwan, and Jisung were quick to arrive and save them.

When they’d brought the four home, everything had instantly descended into chaos. Woojin had set to work healing them as best he could, starting with the most injured, Taekwoon, and ending with Felix who’d fared slightly better than the others. Unfortunately, by the time he’d gotten to Felix he’d run out of energy. He’s still tried though. Sanghyuk ended up dragging him to his room and locking him in.

Woojin hated himself, hated his limits. He hated knowing that Felix was just a couple floors above him, bleeding and in pain because Woojin couldn’t heal him. He knew that the others would tell him that it was alright, that he wasn’t to blame. He knew that Chan would tell him that he wasn’t to blame. But Chan wasn’t there with him, he was sitting beside Felix’s bed.

Woojin started sobbing.
