Your parents died in Korea and now you were stuck. A lady was nice enough to adpot you but you refused to call her mother. You weren't a bad person. You just really wanted to go home to America. You had to stay until you graduated school. It's already been 2 years and there was one to go. So far you still hadn't grown attached. Before, you loved Korea. Wanted to live here ever since you were small...not anymore.

You never complained, never caused problems...but you didn't talk either. All the students assumed you didn't speak Korean. The other two years you had lived here you didn't go to school and just helped your new 'mom,' who was single with a son that was eight. Before you came to Korea to visit you already knew the language, although on your first day of school. You refused to speak and gave the teacher a note, saying you couldn't speak Korean.

The students ignored you, while some teased you, thinking you couldn't understand.

But you heard it all.

About halfway into your school year a boy, who had lived in China for awhile, came back. You didn't know him but he seemed pretty popular. All the girls swooned over him and he was best friends with all the guys. You could care less though.

When the other students told him about you. He grew intrigued. Because he knew English he started talking to you but you just ignored him.
