Et CeteraJihyo mixes the batter, wanting to get the right consistency.
After incorporating the flour, water, and chives, she stirs everything. She's no chef, but she tries her best.
She turns on the stove and adds the oil. She swirls the pan, coating it in oil evenly. Jihyo scoops a spoonful of batter into the pan.
Mashing the batter in a circular motion, she evenly spreads the mixture.
She intently watches the pan sizzle and fry. With a chopstick she pokes at the pancake, unsure when it'll be due to flip. Park Jihyo taps her fingers, waiting a little longer.
Tzuyu rubs her nose and she can smell the burnt pancake. But she doesnt say anything, since Jihyo's been practicing cooking lately.
"Ugh it's burnt," Jihyo angrily mumbles. She scoops out the batter mixture and tries again. Doing the same steps, she times herself, and waits again.
Tzuyu moves to her and glimpses at the pancake. She's starving but she can wait.
"It'll be ready soon," Jihyo determinedly states.
Tzuyu plays with the batter, scooping it and letting the mixture fall back into the bowl. She judges the content and the mixture is a little too runny.
But Tzuyu remains quiet, letting Jihyo make lunch.
Jihyo pokes at the pancake again, this time wanting to automatically flip it in one go. With some arm work, she mimics the chefs on TV and flicks her wrist and dips the pan, forcing the pancake to jump. The pancake tosses and lands folded back in the pan. Jihyo peeks at Tzuyu then embarassingly fixes the semi-circle. Unable to correct her flip, she breaks the pancake up with a spatula and watches it cook in bits.
