Et Cetera“A,b,c,d,e,f,g,….” Nayeon recites, giving herself a warm up.
“Hello, hi, how are you, how’s it going,” she practices. Having taken an interest in English, she’s studies extra hard and attends all her class sessions. Nayeon flips through the book and tries to read the story. Scribbling letters and words on the blank paper, she keeps at it. Unable to understand the longer words, she scratches her head and skips it.
The bunny girl peeks at the other students in the library and then looks back at her paper.
“What’s the use of writing words over and reading when she has no one to practice with,” her inside voice argues.
“Besides, not like I can remember the definitions,” she mumbles.
Nayeon sighs and rests her head on the desk, brain warped from all the English words.
Getting lost in thought, she imagines having a conversation in English. But she knows having imaginary conversations and what they portray in the movies is completely different.
Nayeon packs her things and leaves to her next class.
“I could, but I shouldn’t,” she voices, knowing there was a new transfer student.
“Ah,” she says and chuckles from overthinking.
Taking her usual seat, Nayeon notices Myoui Mina the new transfer student enter.
“Foreigners are so pretty,” she says keeping her thought to herself.
