Et CeteraKim Dahyun glances at her sleeping beauty. She gently blows at her face but Chou Tzuyu doesn’t wake. Dahyun slowly crawls out of bed and decides to cook morning breakfast to surprise her. Dahyun quietly washes up, brushing her teeth and combing her hair into a bun. She tip toes to the kitchen and opens the fridge. Grabbing the ingredients, she sets everything on the kitchen counter. Trying to be more than quiet, she scoops rice into the pot. Washing the rice thoroughly, she sets it in the rice cooker. Dahyun prepares the ingredients, washing the vegetables and meat. Like a robot, Dahyun slices the carrots, mushrooms, and tofu equivalently. She slices the meat thinly and sets it to a side. With wet hands, she reaches for the pots down in the cabinet, but her fingers slip and the pots and pans clashes to the ground.
“Darnit,” Dahyun whispers and peeks her head out of the kitchen. She remains quiet for a minute but doesn’t hear a peep.
Chou Tzuyu moves her arm to reach for Dahyun but realizes the cute girl isn’t in bed. She slowly gets up and rubs her eyes. Tzuyu checks the time, and its still early. It’s too early to get up on the weekend. She sits upright and rubs her face. She can hear distant sounds from the kitchen. And she can smell something cooking.
Dahyun continues to cook. She boils a pot of water for the soup and adds the carrots, tofu, and mushrooms. While she waits for the soup to boil, she brings another pot to the stove and grills the meat. Unsure of the time, she continues to cook a surprise breakfast for Tzuyu. She’s excited to make a morning breakfast especially for Tzuyu. Dahyun stirs the boiling pot and opens the cabinet for a packet of ramen. She browses around the cabinet but no ramen. Looking through the other cabinet, she finds a packet on the top shelf. Dahyun reaches for the packet, with fingers only touching the corners. She tip toes, only to push the packet further in.
