"Hoseokie," Hoseok hears Minhyuk's loud voice. He can recognize that voice anywhere.

"Oh hi Minhyuk," Hoseok says with a forced smile as he sees Minhyuk making his way towards Hoseok with a bright smile.

"How was your weekend?" Minhyuk asks with a jab towards Hoseok's waist a playful grin on his face.

Well if Hoseok would be honest it mostly involved with him watching romantic movies in his room with a huge tub of ice cream and reading more interviews that Seungwan gave out to various magazines and realizing just how much she doesn't know about Taehyung.

"It was fine," Hoseok simply answers.

"Just fine?" Minhyuk asks. "Did you not do anything?"

Minhyuk was also extremely nosy and didn't get a cue when exactly to stop talking.

"Uh no I was studying," Hoseok lies. In reality, he spent most of his time locked in his room ‘napping’.

"Oh that's nice," Minhyuk says.

"Yeah,"

"So what did you do?" Hoseok asks just for the sake of being nice.

"Well, I for one don't remember doing much because I was super wasted all weekend,"

"Oh, well good for you," Hoseok answers with a smile.

"Yeah, it was fun let me tell you that," Minhyuk says with a grin. "But from what I do remember is doing shots in a bar and then passing out and then when I woke up in a pool dressed in a banana suit," Minhyuk finishes.

"That is a wild story," Hoseok answers with a chuckle.

Minhyuk laughs.

"You should join me for one of these parties," Minhyuk says. "They are loads of fun you would like them"

"Uh, I don't really like parties,"

Minhyuk makes a face.

"You're such a square sometimes Hoseok," he says. "Learn to live a little"

Hoseok almost has the heart to say that he wasn't always this gloomy person that he is now. That he used to like having fun, go to parties, hang out with his friends but these days even getting out of bed is a daunting task for him and he wishes he could just lie on his bed all day not talking to anyone.

Hoseok instead just smiles at him as he turns to a customer to take their order and thankfully Minhyuk stops talking then. Sometimes Hoseok can't keep up with Minhyuk's cheery self. It's suffocating when he just keeps talking and talking even though he is nice. Most of the time Hoseok just wants to be left alone in his own pity party full of sorrow.

But still, Hoseok won't complain too much. He likes his new job. The pay is okay, it's much less stress and it keeps him from thinking about a certain someone all day long and besides Minhyuk no one even bothered to talk to Hoseok. They had all decided that Hoseok was just too grumpy to talk to.

"They're all idiots," Minhyuk had said on the 3rd day of Hoseok's job when they had all ignored them to go clubbing together.

"Uh it's okay," Hoseok had said and he genuinely meant it. He couldn't care less if anyone wanted to talk to him or not. If he was being honest he liked it much better when he was left alone.

When their shift finally got over Hoseok went in the back to change and only a minute later was joined by Minhyuk.

"We can go together," he said.

Of course, Hoseok couldn't say no.

So, they walked back to home together and Minhyuk talked about how his Latin professor had a crush on a girl in his class and how he was totally convinced that there was something was going on between them. Oh and also, that his Latin professor was 65 years old.

“Like I get that you too have the hots for each other,” Minhyuk says. “But it gets weird when they are constantly eye ing makes all of us feel like we are third wheels”

Hoseok listened with half attention laughed and nodded when needed.

Soon Hoseok reaches his block.

"So I will see you tomorrow then," Minhyuk says a sad tinge in his voice.

"Uh yeah sure night Minhyuk," Hoseok says.

"Good night Hoseok,"

Hoseok walks to his flat to find that Yoongi isn't home. Hoseok uses his spare key to open the door and immediately lies down on his couch with a sigh. He feels exhausted.

Hoseok checks his phone and there is a text from Yoongi.

'I'll be out tonight, take care'

Hoseok sighs again. He has to spend the night alone. He gets up from the sofa and heads to the fridge and puts some leftovers to heat into the microwave. He changes his clothes until his food is heated, but not in the middle Hoseok realizes with his first bite but he is too tired to re-heat it again as he finishes it.

He then proceeds to work on some essays for Uni but he can't focus as he shuts his laptop and goes to his phone. It's not like he has anyone to talk to so Hoseok just scrolls through his newsfeed when he sees a photo which makes his heart skip a beat.
