Light coming from the sun glaze on your skin, waking you up from a long slumber

You rubbed your eyes gently and looked around your room

There, you saw your mom sleeping beside you on a chair

You furrowed your brows as you tried to remember what happened the last time you were awake but all you could recall was hearing a terrible noise, “Mom? Dad?”

Your mom jolted and smiled when she looked at you, “You’re finally awake, sweetie. Thank goodness!” She held your hand as tight as she could

You tried sitting up but you felt numb on your lower body, “M-mom,”

“Yes, sweetie?” your mom stood up from her chair

“M-mom, I-I can’t f-feel my legs,” you trembled as tears threatens your eyes

The numbing feeling is overwhelming you as you imagined the worst possible scenario why you can’t feel your legs

You swept your blanket away to know if what you’re thinking is right

“Mom! My legs! Why can’t I feel my legs?!” You panicked as you started reaching out for your legs

Your mom hugged you and tried calming you down, “Sweetie, calm down. Dad will call the doctor, okay?”

The tears streaming down on your face are showing no sign of stopping

After your dad called the doctor, your mom rubs your hands to help calm you down

You can see that they’re also shocked at the same time

You bombarded the doctor questions as soon as he arrived, “Doctor, what happened to my legs?! I can’t feel them!”

“Based on your X-ray scan, it seems you are suffering from a temporary paralysis on both of your legs. But don’t worry, it will come to normal after performing therapies,” the doctor explained

“But how long will the therapy take?” Your dad asked

“It will depend on the patient. But mostly, it will take 2 months,”

You parents sighed, “Thank you, doctor,”

“You’re welcome. Please contact me as soon as possible if you encounter any problems,”

After the doctor left, you bawled learning that you will not be able to walk for such a long period of time, “What exactly happened to me, mom?”

“We rushed here to the hospital when Jinyoung called us and told us you got involved in an accident,” your mom explained

“Jinyoung…” after saying his name, you remembered what happened, “Jinyoung! Where is Jinyoung?”

Your mom and dad looked at you apologetically, “I’m sorry, sweetie. After we talked, he went home immediately,”

You looked down on your hand, “How many days was I asleep?”
